^ I'm not like you Richie Rich! My other set of tires (aka. Pizza-cutters) are in LA waiting to be picked up... :indiff:

Re: Helmets

I haven't had an issue with headrests in any car I've been in with a helmet. I don't think this will be any different.

Now, I do have some headroom issues in the AW11. I need a lower seat.

Miata FTW. :sly:

After reflecting on the changes Subaru makes on their models regularly, I've decided the BRZ isn't going to show its true colors for atleast one year, probably 2 or more. I'd expect a 2015 brz to be far more refined than the 2013.
That said, it might be best to reserve my dealership time later down the road. :irked:
Then again, two test drives over the course of 3 model years isn't too bad is it? :trouble: Of course the Scion guys might let me get a ride without much trouble.

Subaru-BRZ_2013_1600x1200_wallpaper_09.jpg

This car is so beautiful. Its like the car I always wanted to drive. In one year, when Im done with studiying and hopefully find a decent job as a engineer, I hope that I can buy this beauty then. It would be my first car and of course I would leave it stock, maybe different wheels, Im not that much into tuning.

Does anyone already have pictures of the underside of the car?

http://www.autoblog.com/2012/02/24/subaru-announces-stripped-out-track-minded-brz-for-uk/#continued

In the press anouncement for the UK-spec Subaru BRZ, there's a note about "a third, stripped-out model" the Brits will be offered as a tunable track-day special. It isn't exactly surprising, since the Subaru is exactly the same as the Toyota GT-86, and Toyota is offering a stripper GT-86 in Japan. That model, called the RC, drops 100 pounds compared to the base coupe by omitting items like the LSD, air conditioning, radio, paint on some body parts and swapping 17-inch alloys for 16-inch steelies.

When we asked Subaru if we'd get one, too, we were told we'll be get the Premium and the Limited, and that's it – no stripper BRZ here in the United States. While it's possible that Subaru simply isn't discussing another trim for our market yet, what's more likely is that it's time for us to wonder, again, "Why do they always get everything?"

There's a press release after the jump with a few more details on the top-spec model and Subaru's rather generous aftercare program. Our high-res gallery of BRZ images is below for your perusal, as well.

I never heard/read that the RC sacrificed the diff. I knew about the radio, wheels, paint but I must've missed the LSD part.

Hmm, that's one thing I haven't considered. How are the warranties and offers for Subarus vs. Scions?

Since the cars are practically identical, pretty much all the upgrades will be universal between the BRZ, GT86, and FRS, right?

I doubt you'll be seeing any offers/rebates/financing deals on either the suby or scion.

3 year warranty kind of blows. Could get a Hyundai with 10 years, but you'd have to let them do all the work.

For a guy like me a 10 year warranty wouldn't matter because it'd be voided within three years anyway.

^Subaru will sell you extension till 7yr/100k miles.

For $1500+.

Hyundai is only 10/100k for the engine and trans, compared to 5 or 6/60k for almost all other MFRs.
10/100k is a gimmick in my eyes anyway. If something is crap on the car, it will go soon after buying, like my hyundai did. If you take care of the engine and trans, as in regular maintenance, you're fine for 100k with basically any car you buy. Only time Hyundai touched my car, was to do recalls and crap that went wrong cause some parts were junk. Did all maintenance myself and they never gave me any crap about doing it.

Not you specifically but...

Anyone who makes an issue about 1500 over the course of 4-6 years really needs to reconsider the idea of buying a car none the less a brand new sports car.

Yeah this pretty much.

Unfortunately I can't afford one right now, but I'm going to wait until the new Miata comes out then cross shop it with a used FR-S or BR-Z.

Our Gold whatever warranty was cancelled within 3 months. The coverage you get for that $1500, ~8% of the car's value, is usually laughable.
Might as well go up to the sales person and ask if he's ok with selling you the car at MSRP.
