Cars that are optimized on high octane fuel can eke out better economy on premium than regular. While they could tune it to cope with low octane fuel, "requiring" higher octane allows them to claim higher EPA MPG numbers. If they say it can take anything, the EPA will mandate the use of regular fuel for testing, which would result in lower EPA sticker ratings.

It's better than a fart can!:sly:

I love fartcans. Great sound and a low price, and they don't need to be insanely loud. As long as the tip doesn't look like a rotated basketball hoop, they look pretty good.

Are you joking? Fart cans stink! WHy do you think they are called fart cans? because they sound like a fart!

That's some crap car with a magnaflow fart can (I shouldn't even need to continue after that part) that was welded the the stock midpipe. It will clearly sound terrible. Go look up videos of STI's with Invidia N1s on them. After that, tell me single exit's only sound like farts. And if the volume of the Invidia N1 makes you think it's still farty, listen to a Greddy or Megan exhaust on a STI. Lower volume but still has a very deep tone.

Vid #4 talks about the fender grill thingy being removable and a big hole being there for air extraction if you wanna add a turbo or such.
I'm assuming he meant the hole is already there, not that the grill is removable in order to cut one out.

I heard that, I'm not sure if the hole is there or not but these are from the Greddy drift car built and I don't see a hole like he is saying, but they could have modified the frame and body panels on it.

I'm on a tablet and it has spell check:dunce: it's the most annoying thing ever.

They didn't include an 'off' feature? Reminds me of the Toshiba commercial where they don't include the wifi in the tv which causes a chain reaction leading to satellites crashing into Earth.

Most have off features, but it's more annoying to turn it off in my opinion. You end up making more mistakes usually with it off.

I just leave it on cause it so it fixes the small stuff. You put one misplaced letter and it writes a different word.

It's called proof reading before you hit "submit". ;)

I did twice , but I didn't see it.

Luckily my spellcheck is a popup suggestion and it doesn't respell unless it's obvious and only one letter. The worst is hitting send mid angry txt message. That was hell when I did it by mistake

"100,000 Units Annual Goal for BRZ/FR-S/86 Announced by President of Fuji Heavy Industries"

Great news for all BRZ/86/FR-S fans worrying about limited production numbers!

Yasuyuki Yoshinaga, a president of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. announced late last week a goal to produce 100,000 units per year of the BRZ, FR-S, and 86, which are produced jointly on the same line at the Subaru Gunma factory (in Ota City, Gunma Prefecture.)

Since the introduction on February 2, 7,000 orders of the Toyota 86 have been placed, which are as seven times the monthly sales target, while 2,500 orders for the Subaru BRZ have been placed since its on February 3 – which is 5.6 times as the original target.

This sounds to me like maybe the big dogs at Fuji, don't want dealers to be marking up their cars and driving many buyers away. I'm not sure how they could sell 100,000 cars in a year.
Nonetheless, great news.

-> I heard from the comment section on other site that the Subieyota is similarly priced to the late Honda Prelude when it was new, given to its inflation adjustment. Its hard to believe at first, but it may very be true! ;)

Thats great news, Id love to see these on the road as much as possible.

Which is? Numbers would be nice for the uninformed. ;)

^ For what I know, according to the Auto Channel & AOL Autos the Base model is $23,600 and the Type-SH is between $26,100-26,540 circa 2001. Which is pretty much in the same ball park as the BRZ & the Euro-spec GT86 (not the JDM 86 & FR-S). ;)

As impressed as I am with the Impreza, that is a very tough question. Would probably go for the WRX if it's going to be your only car.
