The BRZ STi Concept is being shown for a few weeks in a dealer here in Holland... :) I like it... Looks fresh, but has probably already been discussed here.

Does anybody know of anyone who has tried making up a fibreglass/polyurethane replica of the concept's front or rear-end to attach to the production model? If not yet, surely it must happen. The concept was so brilliant.

Oh wow. I need to get those tails and those side venty things.

Yes, it looks brilliant, but it's a bit like a 20-something lady in black stockings and lace lingerie: WR Blue (almost synonymous with VW's 'R'-range blue) and gunmetal BBS wheels go spectacularly well with pretty much every car. Possibly, just possibly, the Pontiac Aztek could even pull it off.

I agree with both of you. I really like the STi version and it BETTER go into production.

In Japan you can buy the parts from the 2nd STI concept in the accessories brochure.

and I do not think they would make parts from the 1st concept if they made a 2nd one. But maybe thought a aftermarker tuner would make one similar to the 1st.

Ouch. I'll take a 370z in that case.

This.

Dealerships that mark up cars will never get business from me.

But I'm with homeforsummer, going to be buying used anyway (if I don't like the new Miata) so it's a moot point for me.

Lol 5k markup is fail. Good luck with that one mr. Fail dealer.

Waiting for those Toyota badges any day now.

Do you think that the Toyota/Scion would handle the same way ?

Seeing as they are basically the same car, I don't see why they shouldn't.

Car sounds great but man, V8's are taking over drifting it seems. First here, now it's spreading to Japan.

I support Garrett V8 Hunters Cup 2012. ;)

Got to see and sit in the BRZ today and it's definitely a comfortable car to be in, but my dad (he's 6'2 and is just a big guy in genereal) had no leg room.

Uhhh OhhhhhZ

Subaru BRZ Japanese Market Deliveries Pushed to Next Year Due to High Demand

The Japanese daily Nikkei is reporting that due to overwhelming demand (orders), Japanese market deliveries of the Subaru BRZ will be pushed to January 2013.

The Gunma factory is unable to keep up with the production necessary to keep deliveries (which are already four times the amount that Fuji Heavy Industries had anticipated) on schedule.

This comes less than one month after the BRZ and FR-S began production last month on March 16th, and only two weeks after the BRZ went on sale in Japan on March 28th.

No word on whether the FR-S (86/GT-86) will be subject to the same delivery delays (although that seems very possible given its high demand as well) and it’s unclear yet how this will affect other markets’ deliveries, including the US and Canada.

That's ridiculous because I'm bigger than he is and was fine. It's not an E-class, but there is enough space. Did you make sure the seat was all the way down? That helped a lot for me.

If you put the seat all the way down and move it all the way back, a 6'7" bubbly person could fit in there. Not sure how good of a driving position it would be though.

-> If I could fit in a S2000 confortably, the BRZ will be (very) fine for me. Its all about proper seat adjustment here.

Yep, all the way down and pushed back but he's really picky about how he fits in cars. If one thing is off a tiny bit he hates it.

I went to the NY auto show today, I saw both the BRZ and FR-S.
It was smaller then I thought it would be but it looked good, they had one in Asphalt(dark gray)
The interior was nice it did not look cheap, the seats were comfortable.
The only down side was it was an automatic but you really can't tell from the outside.
