That (hopefully) STI model

There won't be an AWD version.

I've been looking at all the comparison photos in this thread. Am I the only one that thinks the Scion looks like a simpler and crapier version of the Toyota 86? The exhaust is simpler, the headlights have no LED bits, the centre of the dash looks simpler and lower spec, etc, etc.

Scion FR-S = poverty-spec Toyota 86, but I bet it's no cheaper though!

Welcome to the USA.

All five of the cars are almost identical when you take the same shot from the same angle, with the tiniest cosmetic changes between them.

(I should really have painted them all the same colour too)

You should do that again with them all the same color. I'm really anxious to see what that would look like.

Why did Toyota drop the slim triangular headlights for the round fat ones? was it for safety reasons or something?

They do have differences, so people can't say that PD just "dupped" a car. However, I cannot believe how PD thought we would want another car that's basically the freakin' same as another. Let's face it, it's just a badge engineered Toyota 86 with the steering wheel in the other side and a couple of tweaks on the lights. One is tomato, the other tomahto. Why not using the time to model something more interesting, for instance, the Signatech LMP2 Nissan?

Seriously PD? You thought this was an appropiate investment of time? Oh dear...

I added all the type A aero kits. I could take some pics of the new aero kits for you(I will add them here tonight if someone doesn't beat me to it). The only difference(s) in aero kits between the 86 GT '12 and the FR-S I noticed was the rear spoiler for FR-S.

I see, thanks.
Dont think i need more pics. i"m sort of depressed by gt auto and had forgotten.
I often found myself clicking the RM button just to hope.

"Investment of time"? Really? So everyone is now an expert on systems management, software engineering and CG.

Surely, being able to simply tweak an existing model to get a "new" one would be considered a good return (a whole car) for little "investment". Besides, it cannot be in any way the only car they've made in however many months it's been since the last DLC - especially when the FR-S has been around at least as long as the 86 itself.

Regarding OP:
Good eye for detail.
Weird that the handling is a bit different, I thought it was the Scoobie BRZ that got the different tuning and less oversteery compared with the Toyota/Scion. (Assuming the RHD/LHD plays no part.)

I still can't believe people are b*tching about FREE DLC. What do you expect about something that is free? Am I seriously the only one that is grateful about this?

As anyone noticed that when your in the interior view of the Scion that the gas gauge is 3/4 full not completely full, even tho your HUD says it is?

Done, although I can't be sure they're in the same order as the other one. :)

(I've also slowed the transition down a touch so those little changes are more evident.)

Can you make one with the cars stock and in order * FR-S last* So I may put it up on the front page?

You think this is bad? Wait until PD finally makes a classic Premium Mini.

There's the Morris Mini Minor and Austin Seven, the Morris Mini Minor Cooper and Austin Seven Cooper (nevermind the Cooper S versions), then there are slightly different versions (regarding exterior detailing but using the same bodyshell) like the Wolseley Hornet and Riley Elf.
Then there's the first Clubman (nevermind all the Mk1, Mk2, versions/facelifts that preceded it) and did I already mention the Mini build in Italy by Innocenti?

You must be blind.

Nope, me too.

OR They could just upgrade the "modern classic reissue" Mini 1.3i 1998 that we have as a standard.

I curse them for modeling the FF Countryman as opposed to the 4WD.

If they give us a premium classic Mini, first thing im doing, getting the most limey-retch-green i can find and getting a carbon hood, for the Mr Bean look.

One thing everyone's forgotton - The Scion has no back seats! :sly:

At my local Scion dealership it does. Toyota has a stripped model with the rear seats deleted, but that's not offered in the US... yet.

Ya its kind of strange, I saw this car at the auto show in Portland a while back, and I could have swore this was a new version subaru? Was I just seeing things? I must have been. :odd:

It does, but it's just an almost useless padded bench-like seat like the one that the Ferrari California has.

In the 86 you can notice them better because they are bucket seats and have read details.
