Screen too dark

The screen is way darker than GT5. My tv brightness level is at 100%. The game's brightness level is at average but increasing it just causes some parts of the game to become extremely bright as if a light is reflecting off of them instead of increasing the brightness of the entire screen. It's so bad I'm considering returning the game. Does anyone else have this issue?

I noticed some areas in the track like under tunnels and shade are way to dark when I played GT6 with a friend's Samsung LCD HDTV. When I used it on the Playstation 3D tv or my ASUS computer monitor at home, it was perfectly fine. I do not know how to explain this phenomenon.

I constantly have to change the in-game brightness depending on the race. Some races I see fine and then others are super bright and others are super dark. So I just adjust as necessary. I am mainly a PC gamer so adjusting things on the fly doesn't bother me, but I do think it's strange to have to do it in a console game.

I find the cockpit view practically unuseable unless I crank the EV up to +1 and increase my TV's brightness because the interior is so dark. Windshield/bumper-cam view is fine, though.

I have mine set to +0.2, I like it. I noticed in the GTA Demo how dark it was compared to GT5 and I think I put it to +1, lol

I like it, seems more natural. My T.V is just set to a standard brightness. The Goodwood challenges seemed to get progressively darker each time? That is not to say it is perfect, maybe a patch will balance things to more people's preference, but in general I like it.
(and I have done a few races from the cockpit)

Part of the problem is the cockpit view. The attention to detail has back fired here, as they have actually modelled the window tints. There should be an option to turn that off.

Conspiring to make the problem worse is the new lighting model. Although having said that, I do like it. Just not in combination with the window tints when the time of day and weather aren't 100%
