I would like to welcome you to Pirate Log Racing, after a successful season one, we are looking for new racers to join us. We are a bunch of market traders and friends that get together on Saturday night 22:00 UK time, for our season and time killer races, we also have a Caterham series on Wednesday night, with a Clio V6 support race for the main season. We are all clean racers and welcome anyone aboard.

Round 1 = Kart 100
Round 2 = Ford Focus ST
Round 3 = Honda Integra RM
Round 4 = Pagani Zonda R
Round 5 = Formula GT

Tyre and fuel will be on, aides if you wish to use them. PP level set at new +10. Each Saturday of the season will be one main event followed by the Clio's. For example race night one will be the Kart 100, 12 laps at Kart Space, then 3 laps in the Clio at Kart Space. With race night 2, two weeks later at Eiger and so on..... Every race night will have the Main Car then the Clio race with separate championships for each.

The points system will be determined by the number of people we get signing up, will be the same as season 1 otherwise, but with 1 point going to the driver with the fastest lap (Cheers Clippy), in addition we will have our 3 lowest scoring races over the season removed, a no show counts as a low scoring race (thanks Clippy & CJ) Saturday 22:00 UK time, race will start when we have enough to make it a race!!

There will also be the Clio Cup. Same rules, same points. Straight after the main event, jump in to your Premium Clio V6 for a 3 lap sprint. Same track as the main race. At the full Nurb' event the Clio will be run on the GP circuit.

There will be a few series running the same cars on certain nights, we run the Caterham on Wednesday as others will in different series/leagues.

Our main season is on alternate Saturdays with a random race of the groups choosing the Saturday in between. After the main race the season we also have a support race in the Clio V6 so there will be 2 races per night, one in the cars above then the Clio.
 
I get it, so the tracks listed under each round are simply possibilities for the group to vote on. Same track for both races in each round?
 
Almost, there are 25 races. Each split in to 5 x 5. We run the main race in the car stated, then a race straight after in the Clio. I'll send you a group invite, there is a calendar in there of what we race and when 👍

Example:

First event of S2: 03/11/12
-5 12-lap kart races, all in different tracks, in the same order as how they were listed in the first post
-1 3-lap Clio race in the final track listed in the first post (Tsukuba)

The Clio Cup is separate in standings from GTPLR-2.

So... do I get it now?
 
Almost, first event is 3/11/12 - 12 lap race Kart 100, followed by the 3 lap Clio at Kart Space.

10/11/12 - a random race event.

17/11/12 - 2nd round of season 2, 12 lap Karts at Eiger followed by 3 lap Clio at Eiger, and so on.

For every round of the season there will be a Clio race, different points table. 1 round in each (gtplr2/Clio) every other Saturday.
 
I understand now! 👍 You may want to edit the original post for other interested racers to make it easier to understand. Reading it again I still feel like it implies one round per night rather than one race per night.
 
It was pasted from the group mate, with them being there from season 1 it was more or less the same, will have a look and sort it cheers.

I run a caterham league that races at the same time maybe we could combine our leagues some how
 
I run the main season sir, a user on here Clippy-F1 runs our Caterham night. Would be good to have you with us though I'm sure we could sort something out. A few places left in our Cats and Season 2. You are all more than welcome to join.
 
Hi,@Izzyracer97 am open to suggestions mate, the more the merrier (or should that be messier :) ) We run a 2 round meet on a wed night, with a reverse grid for round 2 and the top 3 finishers from round 1 putting on hard boots as a success penalty. Would be quite keen to keep this format as it is proving quite popular with the participants

As a series we are quite young with Wed 7th being our 3rd race of ten.

What thoughts ? 👍

Actually just had a thought myself... We could make our respective leagues fortnightly and then every other week run a Super League with our 2 leagues competing against each other, or just a big mash up ?

The Big Cat meet every other week sounds like a good option, that way you both keep your own Cat night? Plus the bonus of going against each other the weeks in between.

No interest in season 2 though I see :(

sounds interesting do you have a forum page I could look at I could help you and I get more people in our leagues

I run 4 races a night with 2 races using stock setup and 2 races tuned

Not many rules, just don't be a prat is our main one. All in it for the fun of the game, but serious racers none the less. I'm sure all your lot are clean, fair drivers. So no rules as such, just behave :)

they are they have to be the spec tyre is sport softs just as good as racing tyres but you have to brake earlier.

We leave tyre choice open, as Clippy said we usually give the top place drivers in race 1 a lower compound tyre for race 2. I noticed you run ABS and Traction Control on your Cats, we don't allow aides on ours should more or less even things up a bit, although in the main season and the time killers we run, anything goes. Entirely up to the driver.

yeah I like your tire rule but the no abs thing kinda worries me the cat is so tough to handle anyways. Also, do you guys limit the car any like hp or pp or restrict what kind of upgrades you allow on the car?

at least allow abs mate it would cut down on spinning the cats have little room for error and without abs there is no room for error.

oh yeah he just drew up something we will negotiate it monday I don't want that many rules n regs either it's just a basis
 
The rules are spot on if we were governed by the FIA :)

Our group is much more relaxed though, so many would put people off. Not saying I don't agree with them, but most of the race I'd be more worried about the rules than the event.

some of them are a bit much like the penalties really I just use OLR and that's pretty much it
