Share your car and tunes...

FR 295hp...

Car first used was BMW 3 series touring car. Best time was in the low 1:06's. Tune and details to come, probably faster times as well.

Awd 395hp...

I also use the Bmw touring. Get the 1.07 time on it.

also used the touring car, managed a high 1.04 with complete novice tunes, What i can see is the s2000 being a superior car due to higher grip when accelerating out of corners and better torque, 320 being slighty better on the breaks and handling.

I've also tried the merc 190E but what ever i do it seems to have soap tires, spining out on every corner basically. Ive been looking around the tuning garages and they praise it as one of the best handling cars in the game, i reckon it needs racing soft or bust?

The S2000 is decent for the challenge ... Best I've done is a 1:03.2 (Exact same time as a BMW Touring) ... Unfortunately I kept on tuning the car and now I've lost the tune that got me that time, so now I'm stuck on a 1:03.9.

You have to watch the throttle on exit though, otherwise you'll just spin, going to give the BMW a try as I reckon I could get that at least into the low 1:03's

Seeing as top45 all run the s2000 seems to point towards it being the better car due to observations stated before. Best 320 time is 1.03.2 online.

Driving the S2000 R1 04 is a real pleasure on this track.
My best lap so far was a 1:02:7xx.

It would really help me, if someone could share his setup for this car and track, because I´m new to making setups.

While watching some ghosts that are faster than me, I noticed that many drivers are sliding into the turns. How do they do that?

I wonder, if we will see a time lower than 60 secs. :)

I was able to make better times, but ended up oil changing the BMW touring car, now it has too much power. I'll run it until the power goes back down since I added the stage 3 engine tune to it to give it extra power. I haven't tuned it at all and was able to get to 1:06 flats easily. I still can't find the same S2000 the top times are using.

the 4wd challenge is a joke as well. there are obvious people who have found a special tune with the Lancer Super Rally car to get times 10 seconds faster than I can manage with a 206 Rally Car.

Maybe you are just to slow? At the beginning i tested also the 206, = 2.46,0xx. With the Focus = 2.46,5xx, Suby Proto 2.44,5xx, C4 2.48,2xx, Suzuki ST4 2.48,0xx.

I did not more then 4 laps with each car. :)

i have tuned a premium s2000, to 295bhp and 1115kg.. found a few lsd tunes on here and i cant get passed 1.05.700..

Ok i have bought the S2000 at the honda dealer but this (as i thought) is not realy the one i need for the race. Also the Cusco Subaru Advan Impreza ´03... is good for it. So where can i get these cars? Just by luck so see them sometimes at the used car dealer?

Hi all;
check my thread in Tuning forum for a tune on the S2000 R1'04.

This set-up got me a 1:02.951 (I think); anyway, this was good enough to get me to 62nd place.

Let us know what works for you. I'm useless at getting camber correct, so any feedback about my set-up will be appreciated.

p.s. This was using just dualshock directional buttons (manual). So, with a top spec wheel, this set-up maybe very, very usefull.

Good luck,
Russell.

the s2000 r1 is the standard amuse model yes??

Yes and this is another problem with Poliphony... WHY in the world you don't want let us to adjust hp ratio for enter the time trials? We jast need a decent car that respect the regulations. S2000 R1?
Yeah ok, and where is it?

In the Used Damn Dealer Shop... I never ever found one, maybe I'm just unlucky. Ok let's try something else, what about all the other JGTC GT300 cars? 300hp 1100kg? After 20 min of UCD skipping I've found a Toyota Mr-5, it says "300 hp and 1125kg" ok cool I can buy and use this one... guess what? 303hp WITHOUT the oil change, The car obviusly can't enter the competition.

Panic....

life and death cycle came in my mind  ... They are simply too focused on their damn life and death cycle... one thing is sure Mr. Yama, too much money and too much weed kills your brain. Come back to earth and fix GT5 if you can.

I normally don't bother with the time trials but entered for fun, got 1:08:4 on the Tsukuba circuit before getting bored and quiting. I was using a totally stock 300ZX, the premium one from the dealership, 0 miles, 0 mods

god... i hate those tuning entensive time trials.... what ever happened to skill.

yeah...you ve guessed it. isuck at tuning.

Voodoo1990,

Very nice lap. I notice your back end didn't slide out much, any chance you could share your set-up in the tuning forum,

cheers,

How about a "C-West RAZO Silvia"?
Mine has 296 bhp and 1130 kg with 7xx mls from the UCD
Maybe you can get her down to 295 bhp.

I've tried this luckliy I've not changed the oil on it so it comes in at 295bhp, but my best time with a bit of tuning is a 1.05 dead, looking for a good tune on this if anyone can help, but I'm not sure it's the right car on sports hard - which I think is the maximum (correct me if I'm wrong) it's just too slidey and can;t get its power down smoothly.

Well I haven't hotlapped on GT5 for a while but I have to say what a load of rubbish the Op has posted. How on earth is this cheating? Anyone can do this within the game.

Having said all of this it certainly has spoilt the time trials. This can be very time consuming and in my opinion ruins the time trials. My personal preference in hotlapping is when everyone is using the same stock car because then it levels the playing field. This is why I enjoyed the time trials on GT5P.
