Why can't I do this race with this car? Is it because I RM'ed it? It won't let me race with a fully modded Lotus. Anybody else had this problem?

For GT it counts as a diferent car. Buy the normal one.

So I have to buy the same car again because I RM'ed it?

Yes, because if you look, the name changed to Elise 111R RM, because all the RM cars count as different cars altogether. I don't know why it lets you select it in the garage when you go to start the race, but given how much it costs and how high the reward is, it's hardly a big deal, surely?

True, thanks.

Don't modify the one you buy too much either- I bought good tyres and did a few mods but felt I went a bit too far as it was really fun but I'd made it too easy.

I just put Racing Softs on my car and was in first place by the end of the 4th lap.

An enjoyable event though as the Lotus requires a soft touch on the throttle and steering even with the RS's on.

I made the same mistake last night. I thought it would be a good idea to race modify the elise and then found out it couldn't be used :banghead:. So I now have 2 elise's and I can't stand those car's. Nevermind , when I did the race all I did to the second car was put sport's soft tyres and change the oil I won the race and it was still challenging. Its the same for the other races all that is needed is sports soft's and they are winnable but still a good challenge.
