This newest batch of bonus races seems to be easy to do with some stock/lightly modded cars, but for those who want to make them competitive, here's the times the fastest car seems to put down for each race. I also included the tires that the computer uses.

For example, in the Volvo race; the Focus RS is the fastest car you face. He should do a total time of 11:52 give or take some milliseconds. If you take your C30 into practice and tune/de-tune it to achieve laps of 2:24, you should finish the race in about 11:52. This way those who want to make these as competitive as possible can use practice to figure out how to do so.

The best I've managed in this event is 4th place.
I find the car has got too much power and likes to over-steer when you give it too much throttle, I also had problems with breaking. However both these things were overcome by putting ABS on 1.
It has been upgraded to about 500HP, I know that's bad and I want to be able to do this event with minimal upgrades but I'm new to my wheel and I need all the help I can get. (That might be the reason I'm doing so poorly in this race 💡)

Well anyway how are the rest of you going on this event? Personally the JGTC is my favorite in these newest events.

Give your Challenger an upgrade on the suspension, that will get you through this thing with no problem at all. I frankly was glad to put a prize car to use as well as getting the chance to drive a somewhat underutilized track in the game. In fact the '08 Challenger was the oldest car in my garage I had yet to touch.

I manage to get 2nd place with only upgrading the ECU and Air Fliter... missed 1st by 3-4 secs due to slow cars infront of me in turn 1&6.

Caveat is that my online racing league had just run that track Tuesday, so I had recent experience on the course of close to 100 laps.

i already had one of these in my garage. only upgrade was a supercharger though. so i used that and won by 30 seconds or so. yeah it wasnt fun but my winnings were all profit because i didnt have to buy the car.

Just finished the race. Tweaked the suspension slightly. Also, found out no matter what tires you put on a tank, it's still a tank!!!

Anyone beat this, stock version only? Managed getting an 4th place, but I guess you somewhat have to do some upgrade. I hope I can do this with a set of sports tyres, perhaps medium, since sport soft usually makes it a bit too easy.

I tried it Stock and couldn't even gain time on the leader, he kept pulling away.

It finally took me Sports Softs, ECU, Cat, Racing Filter, and Sports Exhaust to beat him..

It was so easy for me I did the pedals with my hands and steered with my feet!!

I was surprised I actually own that car (it's from A-spec reward).
The car is good but you are too slow on the corners because of the horsepower. On the first attempt I was like under 20 seconds off the leader by the end of lap 4. That's why I bought soft racing tires. I won easily by like 20 seconds. Not so impressed. Fun race though. 👍

I used one of the recommendations on here; stock + oil change + Sports medium. TCS and ABS=1.

An excellent race, I took the lead on the back straight, last lap. I am not sure whether I will re-try with Sports hards, as I just do not like this circuit.

Yup, found out it's a nice challenge. Maybe it would be even better to take 425bhp instead of 435 I had after oil change. Wasn't as hard as the Focus of RX7 challenge.

I KNOW that many of you don't need a setup like this to win the event - but the Challenger SRT8 '08 was one of the first cars I bought - and I love it :-) . I have used this setup for a long time - and just want to share this setup with you. In my opinion it makes it a nice car to race. It is stable and you can securely brake and turn at the same time. It is not the best turner, of course, but a good car - and it has a cool sound.
