Can anyone give me some advice on this race cant get close car understeers like crap closest I can get is 5th and I know the track well dont think I will ever do this one already smashed 1 stick

Play with the weight ballast (make the car ligther than limit and compensate) until yo find better cornering. The car has always a little understering anyway, but with calm and patience you will find a setup more adaptable to your driving style.

EDIT - For the record, I used my own Fiat 500 (fairly straightforward race that one), RKM's Juliet Elise and Greycap's (LPD) Subaru, all available in the above link. Different people have had differing amounts of success, so pick and choose what suits you best, but above all, persevere...

I had to soften Rotary junkie's setup a bit (lower the spring rate, dampers, etc), raised the front end to -15, other than that, it worked like a charm.

Can anybody tell me wether these tunes work for controllers or are they only for wheels, I've tried all the tunes bought about 5 suburas tuned them all up with different settings but can't get close to 1.34 best laps been 1.36 and that i was on the edge for that one,the thing handles like a dog, any help would be apprieciated i'm tearing my hair out and i ain't got much left. Done the fiat and lotus races, the tunes worked well for those so am i missing something,

just practise a bit... i dont changed big things in the standart car setup...
if you know theres heavy understeer just change your drivingstyl...

Thanks for replying could you advise me what tune worked for you, and i will try again i'm level 33 a spec and like to think i'm a good driver maybe i am breaking to late and thats the problem

Just did this challenge again today. Used greycaps tune but raised front height to +20. raising front ride height made a huge difference to turn in for me. Also late braking is a killer for laptimes. Brake early and accelerate hard after turning. Hope this helps

So far... 2.4 seconds behind 1st place. Personally love the feel of the car with these setting... just need to work on my driving I reckon

Used 176OES suspension settings and had the following differences:

Torque split 25/75 (F/R)
Brakes at 10/5 (F/R)
TCS: Off
Sensitivity: 1

I think the key is finding out how to roll the car through corners (no braking/accelerating), especially in turns 2,3,5 and 6. (Used DS3 with clean laps at high 1:34's and poor laps around mid 1:35's. Caught the skyline at the corkscrew)

If you've got a wheel with pedals, or you have brake/throttle on the triggers, you can 'left foot brake' whilst keeping some throttle in on many of the corners - keeps the engine on the power band and you can get out of the corners quicker.

Also, you can do it on 35's just so long as you're consistent. When I've completed it, the last lap's been a 34 but haven't really needed it as I was already 2 or 3 seconds ahead. You can be behind coming out the final corner and so long as it's no more than a car length or 2, you'll more than likely make it past before the start/finish.

Brake earlier and let the car roll through the corners. It will feel slower but you'll be faster.

use your second joystick for throttle and braking.
you can exit corners more easier, resulting in way better lap times

Thanks for all the help, I would love to be able to say I've cracked it but alas I'm still trying, I've come to the conclusion it's my driving not the car,I can see where I'm losing time but the harder I try the more I mess up. When your on the 4th lap and things are looking great and you mess up a corner and know it's over, it's a heartbreaker to say the least, but honestly I've enjoyed this part of GT5 the most it's a real challenge to complete but that's the point.

I used RJ's tune also and changed brake balance to 4-7 and toe camber to zero, I couldn't get the car to turn until then, took me 2 tries and gold got a McLaren F1 GTR :}
