Does anybody know if these new races are going to be the last?I assumed seasonal to mean just that,i hope they carry on for a while longer though.

i never though about that. i thought they will always do them but it does say seasonal? they always updated the online races for prolouge?

I enjoy them so it would be good if they kept updating them.

i hope when the GT hype dies down, they have some automated system where they just keep updating with random ones every week, or the same ones

I would assume this is a normal part of business but if there is to be any change to the structure I would expect we might see some movement in early February when the patch is supposed to be released. I would guess that it will take that kind of change to modify the current race structure.

Just a thought, with the latest events allowing for such easy credits, it could be that PD is intending the player to build-up their credits allowing for some events coming soon that will revert back to the original difficulty of the first two events, but will require much more expensive car purchases. The Schwimmwagen being approx 600,00 cr be a current example.

I hope these events are continuous, at least until they release Gran Turismo 6. Heck, I would like to see more of them, particularly the bonus races. I am running out of new races to do and I want to use as many of the cars in the game as possible. The bonus races force me to use cars I probably would not have otherwise used and they provide an easier way to acquire the money and points that are needed for higher levels and races.

PD, if you are reading this, please keep doing these bonus races on a weekly basis and consider adding more of them. PLEASE!!!

Prolly an F1-car? Or GT40 @ 20mio :sly:

So everyone has the GT40 and the no penny achievement. And suddenly they release the money cap of 20million when you gold the GT40 seasonal, and the prize is 50 million credits...:sly:

Maybe seasonal events will last at least as long as the winter season..?

Would be nice to have snow events for winter, then rainy events for the spring or something..

I dont see why they would stop making these races. We haven't heard anything and there are no implications on why PD would do such a thing. So far they have a good thing going on. Do not see them screwing with it.

+ 1

I hope they continue till GT6 :D It gives this game awesome replay value as it forces you to use various cars. The game has over 1,000 cars, so that's plenty of races before they run out of choices ;) even if they just stick with Premium models that's like 200+ cars right?

I believe the system will be automated, if it isn't already. By having no restrictions on the events, PD don't need to see if the restrictions are fair or not. All they'd have to do is have a program pick a car and track at random, then throw in equal opponents, then create some formula that means you'll profit from the event, even if you fully tune your car.

Seasonal events could be a way for PD to test out a new kind of structure for a future GT. GT has had basically the same type of style for 12 years now and could use a change. The seasonal events provide a good challenge, and also keep the gameplay fresh. Unlike most A-Spec races, the seasonal events make you catch up to first place. It makes you feel like you are actually racing, rather than just blowing past the AI in the first 10 seconds of a race. Plus the rewards are great. The rewards for the A-Spec races should be that good. When I need to purchase a 4million Cr car for a few races I would like to win a few million Cr per race. Also, 9000 xp is paultry at level 20+, especially at level 30 when gaining a new level costs over 200000 xp. This would eliminate a lot of the grinding and increase the overall enjoyment of the title.
