I have been reading many topics regarding how wonderful or how horrible the seasonal expert are. But I have just reach one conclusion Love it or Leave it.

I mean guys come on, you cannot hate a competition the push you to the limit, even though i have only reach 2nd place in both 3 competitions using all the tuning posted here and using a DS3 only, the satisfaction that i got after mastering the track is unforgettable. For the first time in the game, I got the feeling of knowing when to brake, how to attack the corners and when to start to accelerate at the end of the curve. If getting only second places makes be a semi master is fine with me, but very inside of me, i feel like God when I master the track.

What do you think am i right or i just dreaming to much ?

I love extreme restrictions and forced challenge.

I still remember the Ford Focus@Madrid and infamous RX-7@Tsukuba. With all assits off those two races still represents the best races ever crafted in GT5.

Having the extreme restrictions is great. Really makes you push your car to the edge. The satisfaction I got when I finally one them :D. Only thing you could get more satisfaction from a race is the endurance races.

Hopefully PD get more of these seasonal challenges as they were the most fun I have had on GT5.

Definitely agree with you. It's a real test of your skill at this game. And if my skill is only enough to be second, fine by me. I'll try and get 1st, but if not, I'll accept that. Same with not being able to gold the Vettel challenge. No shame in that.

I love these type of seasonals espesially with my G25 wheel :) there a hard challenge but its well rewarded

I adore the challenge, when you are forced to the edge it shows just how great GT5 truly is...:)

The best challenge so far, besides maybe the NASCAR one at the Ring. I enjoyed that one as well. :sly:

They weren't the hardest thing I've had to do in the game. Some of the later special events and a couple of license tests were harder to gold. But the satisfaction was still there.

I'd take new expert seasonals instead of the usual 5-race seasonals any day. =)

besides maybe the NASCAR one at the Ring.

I've still got the replay from that one :)
Was fun.

I love 'em and hate 'em, both at the same time. I hate that I love them so much. I hate that I can't seem to find those last 2.1 seconds in the Fiat - I'm *THAT* close to first place, but just can't catch him. I always seem to have just that one mistake in the five laps, and it costs me. I hate that I'm seemingly not capable of stringing together five perfect laps.

But I love that I'm right there, that close.

I run these events over and over and over again. I don't do that with other seasonals. I'm L40 A- and B-spec, usually pegged out at 20m credits, so it's not like I need the money or XP on these - I just don't like having a race out there that I haven't outright WON. It tasks me. :)

I hate seasonals and I hate this game. I can't stop playing it. booohooo

I love them. I have golded only one now I am trying the other two. I love the challenge.

Love it! Finished in 1st place at Tsukuba with DS3, 2nd at Laguna Seca! This is a fantastic event... Give me more!!!!

True, best races so far:tup:

Love to hate them! :sly: No, really, they're great! Make you work really hard. 1 gold & 2 silvers so far. Work in progress... LOL!

I wish we could get "normal seasonal" and "expert seasonal" together in every update.

I love 'em.... Best thing in GT5 so far 👍

I think they're really good. It's nice to be challenged.

Personally, I think that the normal seasonal events should also have more restrictions on them so that they're a good challenge. It's almost impossible to get the right balance for a good race if you're left to make the decisions about what car, how much power, what tyres etc. You're almost always going to end up with an easy win.

I'm not saying that they should all be this difficult, but it'd be nice for them to strike a balance.

Got gold in the Fiat one (after hours & hours & hours of trying), & the Lotus one. Tried the Subaru one briiefly last night, but need to put in some more time tuning & practicing, I was so slow it was embarrasing.

You are not alone there Bro. Some of my times have been embarrassing as well. But we can only get better

I must say that I again felt like a newbie. Especially on the Tsukuba when car #1 just increased the gap and I was driving as hard as I could. Then I started to tune what is possible with suspension etc but I am still not able to win but I am down to about 3.5 sec after the winner now so slowly I am getting there. The best so far is 4th place.
I managed to win the Fiat 500 but it was quite tough and I managed to win with only 6/10ths of a second after 5 laps.
Havent tried the last one yet but Yes I love the challenges.

Yeah, I hear ya - I *finally* golded the Fiat one last night, taking the win by 0.073 seconds. I think I could *maybe* find another second or so if I could just string together the perfect lap(s); I had a hard time with traffic - I'd pick my line through a curve, and invariably I'd carry a high exit speed, only to have another car right in my path.

Haven't even touched the Lotus race yet, and managed 5th on the Scoobie one, three times in a row. :(

But I'll keep hammering at them.

I don't like the artificial challenge. I would much rather have them add a race with qualifying, something gt5 offline races lack, and have the difficulty in the pace of the cars not simply due to the ai having a head start.

Quite right you are indeed sires (op and post above too).
I'd hate to see every race as expert seasonal but a few ('bout 25ish)more in this form, with old cars please.., NICE.
And standing starts and/ or qualifications:tup:👍:)

For me, the Expert Challenge are the best aspect of GT5 and I wish there were more of them! These races can be frustrating to compete in especially when you are use to winning every race. But when you finally win an Expert Race it is such a rewarding feeling because you have learned how to drive the track. These wins aren't handed to you, there earned.

I agree that every race shouldn't be an Expert race because it will most likely frustrate too many people but PD should give us one of these at least once a month.

Love them.
I simply love the challenge, the ****ing race feeling before you can do it and the satisfaction of winning and finally get that deserved and wanted reward.
I've golded all of them with the Subaru being the one that I'd to work harder, but i still haven´t opened neither one of those tickets because it gives me a lot of satisfaction to see them in there.
When I started to play GT5 I'd a blast because it started for me with the Ford and RX7 on th 2nd(I think) Seasonals and I tought what a great game this is going to be if they keep up.
I do love this kind of Seasonals but the others also are really nice(Easy $$$$$ and XP), so I think that PD should keep this balance between the challenge ones and the easy ones(maybe shouldn't be so easy)

I also love these types of Seasonals. 👍

The normal ones can be made to be a challenge by running lesser cars, but for the most part, I usually just grab the best car/tune I have and blow away the competition my first time through them to get the prizes. Then, I go back and challenge myself with them.

I actually beat that RX-7 challenge back in the day and was very proud of my accomplishment. It took me quite a few hours, but when I finally roared past that 1st place car, it felt good. :)

So far, I have only gotten Gold in the Fiat race and I'm up to 2nd place in the other two. I have good tunes going and now it's just a matter of time until I can finagle my DS3 to squeak out those last few seconds I need on each track. ;)

That's what I do, I run the Seasonal with a stock car and slowly tune it to be competitive. However, some tracks in the Cavalino event are really challenging and on la Sarthe I needed to heavily modify my 458 to catch the Enzo. I haven't actually tried using a stock or lightly modified Enzo though.
