Seasonal race expired

I'm sure, as I recorded it in my 'diary', I raced at Deep Forest in FR seasonal this summer. Now the event is gone, and FR seasonal is a 4-races one. I'm going to check further to see if there are other (disappointing) updates.

That race is gone, but I did the Madrid race in the same series just now and was awarded with racing gear. Did these races give out gear for winning in the past?

No, it seems they add prizes to those.

Correct. Previously, the awarding of extra prizes started with the Expert Seasonal (Fiat, Lotus, Subaru) and all Seasonals after that had prizes. Then, came the temporary removal/reinstatement of prizes last week.

Since that time, they also added prizes to all Seasonals that were pre-Expert Seasonals, changed some prizes around (helmets for races that used to give suits and vice-versa), but also dropped one of the FR races. I'm not sure if that was just an unintentional hiccup though, as I can see no sense in removing that one race.

This is purely speculation on my part (don't want to start rumors), but if the race removal was intentional, maybe they are testing how they can add DLC track races to seasonal events and make them accessible only to those who have purchased the DLC?
