whats the deal with not getting all 3 prizes when you get first place in the seasonals now?

do you have to come in 2nd to get the 2nd place prize? and 3rd place too?

just me?

^ thank you.

now that my question was answered i'll throw out my opinion.

simply put.
that's dumb.

i just don't see why they would want us to specifically throw a race to place lower.

possibly a programming glitch within the update.

I thought the same thing, doesn't follow the normal pattern of 1st taking all prizes like we are used too. I guess we will know if it was on purpose or not by the next update.

^ya. but by then i will have missed out on a ridiculous amount of prizes. paint chips and suits would be nice additions to the many helmets i'm collecting.

The expert challenges give all 3 prizes, as do the time trials. You also only get those prizes once.

The regular seasonal races work this way, and honestly whats the big deal, 2nd and 3rd place get a paint chip and a horn. If you play this game every day you should have a billion paint chips anyway. Who cares?

oh ya a horn. i forgot its not a suit its a horn.

i could care less about horns and i have tons of chips. just missing out on chips isn't as bad as missing out on both chips and suits.

i don't feel as bad anymore.

Who cares?

-People that don't want helmets and suits.
-People collecting horns and paint
-People collecting horns and paint that don't want to intentionally lose the race and lose hundreds of thousands of credits for intentionally losing the race.

^^Pretty much this sums up my feelings as well.^^

If they did it for the Expert Seasonal, why not do it for these? I honestly think it was an oversight, but it could just be a poor decision made on PDs part.

I´m sure PD did this on purpose to avoid overkilling the A.I. and get all 3 prizes.

If you want horns you have to place 3rd , for paints 2nd and for suits/helms 1st.

So where´s the problem?

The other week, when Vettel stood on the top step of the podium, who walked off with the 2nd and 3rd place trophies? Wasn't Sebastian, was it?

That's how prizes are awarded for events in real life.

Seems to me that you only get the lower prizes as well for the Seasonals when the prizes are a one shot deal, and I can't see a problem with that.

If you notice, there's one lot of seasonals where the 1st place gets a lid, one where it's a suit and so maybe this week there'll be one with paint chips.

i don't want trophies. i want rewards.
traditionally, 1st place receives the largest payout and the largest trophy. video games or real life, its the same.

as far as rewards for a 1st place win. traditionally 1st place will always get the most. even in real life. and yes, even in real life, more often then not. 1st place will not only get what the lesser winners receive but another tier of prizes or gifts......

do you feel like this isn't the case?

i'm not all heated about it in any way. its a game. but i feel like 1st should receive all the prizes and i didn't think your comparison was valid. thats all. not trying to start an argument.

I think that first should get first prize only and that my comparison is totally valid

do you feel like, in real life racing or for pretty much anything, the 1st place winner doesn't receive the lower prizes as well?

its been my experience that there are usually tiers of prizing and the top honers receives all of them.

Ummm... in a real life race (not test/licence), P1 gets gold & resulting prize (if any), P2 gets silver & resulting prize (if any) & P3 gets bronze & resulting prize (if any). Am I missing something?
