People do have a reason to be angry if you think about it.

PD should let the community know what's going on, that would stop the complaining.

I'm telling you all once and only once, the previous thread was closed for reasons that needn't be discussed here - it was closed, leave it be.

If you want this one to remain open then I highly suggest you keep the nonsense to an absolute minimum.
 
Right it may not be my place to do this but I want to say this. All those people that complain expect way TOO much from PD, if they wanted to release the events on the first don't you think they would have been out already? I got a feeling they were but maybe something glitched and they had to fix it and PD are not required to tell us everything about the game. People need to learn to have patience and not get too worked up over a delay if this is a delay. And who knows maybe they will add this rumor community stuff along with the new Red Bulls so you never know what PD has up there sleeve. Plus just because it said January 1st don't mean anything, for all we know it could have just been a time frame to expect this event and PD are not ready to add it in just yet. I got faith in Kaz that he knows what he is doing so I'm not too worried about this whole we did not get what we want when we were told we would get it drama.

Speculating why the update is late should be discussed, if you read through this thread, there is no "complaining" involved, just expectations and questions that should be answered to clear things up for others.

We are simply either too old for this or we have drastically different priorities in life. It is hard to draw a line is it funny or sad, but somehow I find it sad.
 
I will be mad if they used Goodwood just like the event in Goodwood itself as I hated doing that.
 
You know, to be fair, it was New Years. PD and Sony were probably out celebrating like everyone else. Subaru, Toyota and a couple others have mentioned VGT car reveals at the Detroit Auto Show, which is in a couple weeks. Chances are, that is when the next update will be. Whether we'll get one before then, who knows.

Total side note but I would like someone to make a list of all the tracks that haven't been used in any event yet. Maybe Ill look into it myself.
 
Before the X-cart and X-Jr, there were 4 different X cars in GT6 with 3 different HP ratings. One is the fan car.

I doubt that, the update will focus on the X2014 cars, while the VGT update will focus on the VGT cars, Kaz said there will be 2 updates in January, it would make sense to release both seperately.

First update should be with the X2014 and second should be with the VGT and community features.

Also a note to those that are hoping for the update on January 13th, just because the cars will be revealed does not mean they will be in the game on the same day, it may take awhile to model them, we all know speed is something PD has trouble with.
 
They could also be finishing some other features that will be included in the update. I would be surprised to see the Course Maker appear in one of these updates with the VGT or X2014 events utilizing it.
 
I doubt this would happen, but it would be fun if a license test style high speed cone slolum with the X2014 fan car is added. Even better if it had online leaderboards with everyone. Not just the people on the friends list.

Well a lot of it was basically a live feed basically where most of us were having basically an unnecessary countdown apparently, but were chatting and then some bloke came and down into the ring of fire it went...
 
I wonder how the x2014 fan car will be different from the x2011 and x2010 besides their chassis. Do you think it will have a higher top speed, quicker in the turns, etc?
 
I didn't realise / forgot there would be two updates this month. That's kinda promising in a way. I mean, if it was just VGT and DLC, then you think they'd do it at the same time as the X2014s. Or maybe not, if the latter only requires one of the ninja updates. I don't know any more.

It will have a higher top speed due to the rear wing being flat I know that much.

I hope the fan version can hold the track at full speed on the Cape Ring "jump" or the Mazda Corkscrew.

Any tried the lawn dart, errr the DeltaWing on the Corkscrew yet? I keep forgetting to try that.
