Why did the programmers for p2 think it was a great idea to have a super quick exit to return to the main race menu?...
I just spent 2 hours practicing and qualifying for an online league championship race... pull into the pits at the end of the session. At the bottom it says return to race menu... accidentally hit the gas and tadaaaa... left the room. Wtf? ...
Really? No prompt of are you sure?.. someone thought it would be a good idea to leave the room in nano seconds.
Please fix the damm menu... oh and could you guys also change the color of the high lighting...it's frikken hard to tell what function your asking for... perhaps it's color co-ordinated to look pleasing.... I want a contrast that screams at me that I've highlighted that particular function... oh and here's an idea, make it the same color all the time...
There are people that are color blind y know!!!

Maybe next time..

-Fixed an issue with inconsistency between info on the Track Select screen and the Loading screen.
-Fixed an issue where you were unable to see which setup you're selecting in Tuning Setups with HDR Enabled.
-Fix for 'Restart Session' being highlighted by default instead of 'Continue' on Session Results screens.
-Improved the menu flow in Online Championships to prevent accidental return to main menu when pressing the back button during countdown on lobby screen.

Happened to me too after a qualifying session in my first organised online race.
But you live and you learn. Now you know not to do that again.
I concur though that that particular button is quite confusing.
I'm just wondering what the logic is in planting that little trapdoor there in the first place?..
Why would they think someone would want a fast way to exit the lobby after putting in so much time and effort?

My first few open lobby races, I was clicking that button and heading back to main menu, getting so angry no one was going to qualify or race... Learned to wait around, lol. Very confusing and I agree, who would want to go back after all that time? Clunky transition system.

There are still sections of the menu where I can't tell what's highlited.. oh..ohh... I just had a thought... SMS is discriminating against color blind minority people. Discrimination!!!
There...that ought to get their attention.

The logic is that they didn't think about accidental selections.

Transition?.. what the hell is it there for in the first place?
It's like,...soooo... how's the menu look Ian bell?...hmmmm.. I think we should have an equivalent of a claymore mine that people should learn not to step on. .....?? You mean like a button that ejects them out of the lobby when they didn't want to?.. without warning?.. no second chance, a get out of the lobby button that has no rhyme or reason to it??.. ... yesssss. Yeesssss!!! Ahahahahahaa. ... baaaahahahahahahaha.

The logic is that they didn't think about accidental selections.
But why have that little claymore mine sitting there waiting to be stepped on in the first place?

Probably because they have plenty of programmers, but very few interaction designers.[/QUOTEi
I hope none of these programmers are involved with any safety related programs... lol.
Only one person has come up with a logical reason for having it there in the first place... some men just like to watch the world burn.

Sure, if you're uninterested in what actually causes these things to happen.
My little brother is a programmer and installer of automatic feed systems for animals. They install and custom Taylor program systems all over the world. If they ever put in a program that with one wrong click, ingredients got mixed wrong, they would not have a job.
As a programmer he said their job is to imagine they are the end user. And to make it as clear and easy to use as possible. One guy quipped that the customer would have to learn to educate himself on how to navigate the programming. He's no longer with the company.

That's called interaction design.

Do you honestly think that the explanation is that SMS are evil, rather than that they didn't think about accidental selection in this case?

Who told you common sense is now called interaction design?

If this is you "lightened up" and using sarcasm I wonder what you're like when you're genuinely pissed off about something. Does your power level go over 9000? ;)

@yogi bear & @eran0004, and when there's several persons playing with sarcasm you can bet at there's needed bit of normal humour alongside or we can watch that burning world..
Awesome, you have sunglasses!......
