Well scedule says that Milldrum has to have it Today => maybe inferno can get it before it is returned to MNLumberjack again ??

Because some on the List have to get it at certain days (due to Real Life issues).

I can shorten my stint. I'll pack on heaps of KM's and send it on it's way. It's the lack of KM's that's surprising me.
 
I have the car now.

Distance: 2,421.5km
Changes: 11
Wins: 3

I received it from 'I_powerslide' :)

That means it has skipped GTP_Inferno.

I will photograph it, paint it, photo it and drive it.
 
Awesome, didn't realise the car had been found so hadn't been checking back on the thread. Hopefully it can stay on track this time!

Maybe it would be best to PM members to make sure there still active/want to participate before sending it to them.

Can't wait for it to come my way :D
 
I'm due to send it to Pawel17 tomorrow. I'll meet my target. Then I'll post some picks.

I'll need to do a complete service of the car before passing it on though. It's been on it's roof a couple of times. ;)
 
I received the car in fine working order with 2,421.5 km's on the clock, 12 changes and just 3 wins. It seemed to be in it's standard paint, so i took it down to Ahrweiler Town Square and snapped a photo.

I didn't love the color, so I painted it. The color I chose was 'Giallo Tufa'.

Then I took it out for a spin. I entered the Sunday Cup race at Tsukuba as I wanted a short race on a forgiving track to try out the beast. The powerslide on the first corner was awesome.

After that win, I wanted to test it further. i was getting comfortable in the car so I entered the Clubman Cup race at Cape Ring Periphery. I found the car loved to slide, but also fly.

Another win and I was getting restless. So I headed to the mountains. I entered the European Hot Hatch race at Nordwand Short Track. Unfortunately there was a racing incident that startled a few in the crowd.

After another win, I took the car home. I reunited the car with a whole bunch of Italian masterpieces in the Festival Italia race at Rome Circuit.

Then I got a little silly. I remembered the track that I downloaded from Welsh Fury called Adenydd y Ddraig Goch. So I held a race there to see how the car would compete in it's class. Sparks, massive air and finally damage. Sorry!

The car now had 2,804.6 km's and I was getting sick of the color. So off to the panel beaters for a respray. This time I painted it 'Laurel Green Metallic'. Then off to Nordschleife. First a race with like minded fools, then the time trial.

My time trial was not a success. I could not get a 'green' lap in this car with my skill level. I tried and tried, but not a success.

So the car now has been passed on to it's new owner. It has 3,843.3 km's on it with 13 changes. It also now has 15 wins.

I did the following:

Restore Body Rigidity $141,500
Overhaul Engine $84,500

Thanks for letting me be a part of this. I learnt a lot about myself on this journey.
 
Wow, thanks for such a great update Milldrum! It was really a spectacular read, and—photos, too! Your passion for this experiment, which has been made clear to me in previous posts, truly shines in this update of yours. Ya makin' me feel cheap! :sly:

I vote that Milldrum should get the car when we are all done, 'cause MNLumberjack doesn't seem to care too much about this experiment of his any more. 👍

I am in posession of the car now, and no offence, but the colour was atrocious, so i quickly changed it back to red, "ahhhh" much better.

Also, how many k's were we supposed to cover each individually?? Question mark.

It seems like each person has done an average of 380km each.

I'm not offended. I love that people like different things. At least I didn't paint this one pink. ;)

Funny story, i went to paint it a 'cherry' red, Rosso Monza, and as i took it for a drive, it looks like a light shade of pink in the sun, maybe its my TV....of to laguna seca, for the 200 miles race.

Awesome update Milldrum! Sounds like you had a good time with the car and you took some nice photos. I can't wait til it makes it to my neck of the woods.
 
We need 10x the mileage put on the car.. we still need to be driving it "around the world".. let's not leave MNLumberjack with a large amount of driving, if at all, at the end of this..

To sum: we need to put over 22,000 miles on the car still!

Question, i want to do the nurb 4hr, but i need racing tyres, can i fit them on?

I did the Nurb as a one spec race.(5 laps) I did the Laguna Seca enduro as it didn't need tyres for that. But it is not my decision.

I wanted to take it onto a dirt track to dirty it up for a photo. But what can you do?

How is the car? I have never enjoyed a stock car this much. Easy to slide through corners.

Pretty hard to drive without traction control, and with sports hard, i was unable to beat any of the ferrari seasonals. The enzo's are just too quick.

This is a cool idea, if there's room in the drivers list, and anyone wants to send it up to the great white north, add JTpwnface and send it over.
I'd be glad to put some miles on it, and share the experience.
