Texas does Vipers big, mate. You're just looking at the tip of the iceberg. :sly:
No doubt about that!

From a recent NTVC event:

And what would Texas be without it's proud bulls showing their horns...

Flipping through some of the shots from that event, here is a nice contrast in the raging bull's style between the Muira and Diablo:

That is a terrific event, and I've enjoyed both my visits in 2007 & 2008.

A few of my personal favorites from the 2008 Concorso.

Photo 3 and the last one in high-res please.

Now.
At this time, I am still currently working on my main computer which is where these pictures are stored. I'll post the Hi-Res when the stupid machine decides it has finally been fixed. :ouch:

It typically isn't but some times you find something halfway decent. I think all 4chan is really good for is photos of young, amateur, emo girls exploring their bodies.

Amen  Seriously though, you do get the occasional glimmer of a great picture (the high-res imageboard is good too) amongst the resounding awfulness of most of that site.

If I saw that in my rear view mirror, I'd get out of the way. Awesome Grand National.

This might look like ordinary tricked out E36 Compact..

But there's something extraordinary done to this car..

Yup, that's old 450bhp V8 from M5.. complete engine/drivetrain swap.

Impressive, but spoilt because the owner has extended the bonnet over the headlights, and in doing so marked themselves out as a complete pillock. Would look a million times better if they lost all the vents and the awful front end treatment. To the questionable mods thread with it! (As long as it leaves the engine right here...).

I think Hartge had a trend of putting ridiculous engines in small BMWs, just like BRABUS does with Merc. I seem to remember a few years back they put an M5's V8 in a compact, or maybe a normal E36. I'm sure someone's recently put the new M5's V10 in a 3-series too.

agreed. :ouch:

But my ambitious plan is still unchanged. once I get to US, I will start building E36 Compact with M62B44+ drivetrain from 540i sport '97.. since it CAN be done for about ~10k.

What do you mean by extending the bonnet over the headlights? Are you referring to the grill sticking out past the headlights, or something else?

Hartge did that last year. It's known as the H50 V10.

They've also done it for a coupe as well.

If you look at the first pic you'll see that the owner has tried to give the car a meaner appearance by adding extra metal to the bonnet which partially covers the headlights. It's one of the "styling" modifications I detest more than any other on cars. I have never, ever seen a car that's looked better for doing that mod than it would do without it.

I dunno what they call it over there but in the UK it's known as a "bad boy" bonnet if the actual bonnet is extended, or if it's done with bits of plastic they're known as "light brows" or "light eyebrows". Tackiest stupid looking modification ever. You can see it more easily on this Golf:
