Well Drifters,

The time has come for me to finally say goodbye to this place. And in doing so I have made a very special video to show my appreciation towards all that have helped me in my quest towards drifting.

Don’t worry its not anything lame. I just wanted to let you guys see what you can do when you take the time to edit correctly (Thanks SD) and to teach your family what they can do if they put their minds to it.

So without further ado I bring you:

Drifting For Friends And Family: Shadow Drifter’s Retirement Movie

That’s right, movie. This video is 10 minutes of action packed drifting. I guarantee you will not get bored watching this movie. As a matter of fact, to all of my friends on this thread, I PROMISE to you, that this movie will not disappoint.

While we are on the topic of disappointment, I want to say that I really put a LOT of work into this movie. Endless hours of work, countless days where I’ve been up until 2 or 3 in the morning editing and snipping. Heck, I even taught my little sister how to drift. It’s not an easy task teaching a 10 year old to handle a car. But I did it, and now she’s better than some people I know.

So please guys, fellow drifters, do me this favor, and watch the entire video, I’ve put a lot of work into this and I know that my family members and friends who helped out with this video have put in double effort as well. It wouldn’t be fair to them if you did not watch this video.

This Movie Stars:
Seito4Counter
Shadow Drifter
NightKids4Ever
My Little Sister
My Dad

All of which went out of their way to make sure that I had enough clips to comprise this movie the way I did. I hope that you all enjoy my movie and I will be checking in from time to time to see who leaves what comments.

Once again, please watch the entire video, especially if you are one of my friends here on GTP. I would really feel bad knowing that no one watched the whole movie.

SilviaDrifter, Thio, Ryen49, JetStorm-R, NightKids4Ever, and The Night Majik Squad:

Stay tuned during the credits for special shout outs and props.
Oh and the ending scene with the Honda S2000 drifting in the rain, all credit for that drifting goes to my little sister. She took the time to learn to drift and even learned how to tune her S2000 to her needs. She’s very smart and a very talented drifter who shows lots of potential. So before you guys start making comments on the drifting done by the S2000, remember, She’s 10 and you have to watch how viscous you are with her.

The Lotus was drifted by my father, he just picked the game up and has the skill that he has in the video. He shows great potential as well, and I will make sure that he makes more videos for GTP one day.

I’m starting to ramble on, so thank you for everything that you ALL have done for me. I have enjoyed my stay here on the Planet, I hope that you remember me and remember my legacy as we all have to move on one day.

I will never forget you all, and GTP will forever live in my heart.

Thank you for having me here and tolerating me.

I've known you for quite the while Shadow Drifter, and you'll be missed, that's for sure. I wish you the best of luck on whatever's next in life for you. (Still downloading the vid)

Emotional Vid there Shadow. Big PROPS to your sis, i could never even get my dad to even control 1 drift let alone get a 10 year old girl to drift. She was good.

Hope to stay in touch with ya and im working on those clips for NME3, also thanks for the mention in your vid, its appreciated.

C ya around.

This is what disappoints me. One of the more knowledgeable and intelligent people on GTP leaving because of the attitude prevalent in one particular forum. With all that GTP has to offer, we all manage to drive away good quality members.

My lack of attention to keeping the order, others lack of ability to contribute to the order. We're all at fault.

So now it's time for me to step up and keep this place presentable and respectable.

More to come...

:( that was a very moving vid, its been emotional and it wont be the same without you.

that ae86 in your avatar has drifted some miles.

it was a brilliant vid and all timed beautifully:)

good bye, and we hope to see you again one day.

p.s is your sis going to join gtp:confused:

We have come so far, and it's always hard to see a valued friend move on...... All I can say, is that you have been an important part of of this forum, and you will be greatly missed......

With new effort, and importance put on cleaning up the drift forum, and enforcing rules, I can only hope you will see our progress, and come back when GT4 arives......

I enjoyed the video, and noticed an improvement in your editing.... I am honored, and touched that you would mention me in your last vid, and I will indeed keep in contact.....

Semper Fi, good buddy.....

;)

im sorry to see you go, that drift bible, your other vids, and settings have really helped me out it sucks that youre leaving and i have no clue why you are, still downloading, ill leave the feedback later, good luck man

Yeah your drift bible was pretty useful... maybe not as useful as hours as watching Initial D but it did help me a lot, it got me off to a decent start. Maybe one day I'll make a more detailed Drift Bible Vol.2 that instead focuses on car setups and 'all that queer stuff that you don't deal with', I know a lot about car setups since I grew up around the Gran Turismo and NASCAR Racing series, and I know a lot about how changes afftect a car's handling/drifting attributes.

You were a great asset to the community, thanks for all your help:)

I'm having more fun right now starting my drifting paths in GT4 than I did when I won my first F/090s:) Maybe I can make waves with my signature C4. Nobody else took it, so why not?;)

Either way, I'll miss you, and great video Shadow.

DB2 is on its way out wihtin 2-4 months, so if you do make a drift bible you might wanna talk to shadow drifter about it first.Since we already have DB2 planned out.

I'm not supposed to say any of the specific details and I wont, all I can say is its gonna be way better.

You won't get anything out of me, now I'm gonna go drift in gt3. My New S15 needs some more tuning done to it.
