Shaving gel...Is it tue?!

I have heard that if you freeze a can of edge gel and cut it out of the can it will expand to a rediculous size. Does anyone have experiance with this? because im scared to put it in my fridge I might risk explosion or even cutting it out of the can. any help would be greatly appriciated
 
:lol: You are giving some of our GTP members that go to college an idea! Reminds me of that condom trick. I still havnt had the time to do it! :( I hope in the summer or spring break I can do it.

well it is under pressure right? That and I'm not sure how much gel expands in cold temperatures but it might bust the can itself. Either way I wouldn't do it.
 
:lol: I froze a can of coke and the whole ass (bottom) of the can bulhged out. Seeing as a shaving cream can has a similar bottom, i'm guessing it might do the same. And also since it thicker, wouldn't it theorhetically expand less?
 
We were going to try it on a school trip. Freeze shaving foam/gel in the freezer ( :dopey: ), make sure it stays cold and then at night cut it open and stuff it in someones sleeping bag :) Wake up to alot of foam :D

Sadly we couldn't work out how to keep it cold for 15hours :(

dry ice is hard to come by. And what's that stuff made of? Famine?

It's frozen carbon dioxide gas. At room temperature it sublimes...going directly from solid to gas.
 
Dry ice isn't that hard to come by. And if you are going to do anything with dry ice do this (in a wide open area, not inside):

1: Get a small soft drink bottle
2: Put some dry ice in the bottom
3: Pour in about 1/3rd water
4: Screw on cap
5: Run away
6: Repeat steps 1 to 5
7: When the police come to investigate the "small explosion noises' called in by a rather busy-bodied person deny everything/run.

Fun for the whole family! 👍

Did you even read the entire page about that prank? It sucks. The payoff isn't worth it. You might as well just depress the button on the top of the can and let all the shaving cream out that way.

This is a little more extreme than dry ice. I live out in the country so its not a huge problem, but I'm going to remind everybody this is DANGEROUS. <--- disclaimer.

1. Get a 20 ounce pop bottle
2. Muriatic (only this) acid. It's used for cleaning swimming pools, and you can get a jug of it at a hardware store.
3. Aluminum Foil

Take a 5 inch by 5 inch square, and fold it up, so you make a little aluminum foil stick. fold this in half so it makes a little U shape.

Stick this in the pop bottle. Then when you're ready, pour about 4-5 ounces of the acid in there. Don't get this **** on your hands or anywhere near your face. Seriously. Don't breathe it in either. Please. Put the cap on and THROW the thing as far as you can. The 20 oz bottle will expand to about the size of a 2 liter bottle, and it will make a huge BOOM and a big white cloud of smoke. Get some gloves to pick up the remains. Don't set this off near anything flammable, as the reaction produces hydrogen gas. Unless you want to see a huge flame-ball (from a safe distance of course)

Muriatic acid is dangerous. It is used to strip dirt, black tire marks/tar, and other things that stain out of concrete. It does a very nice job. It'll do a nice job on your hands, eyes, mouth, well, you get the point.

Holy CRAP! Idiot.... When you do something like that, give it 1 or 2 good shakes and TOSS that crap!

I don't shake my muriatic acid bombs, I don't play around with that. You THROW it.

BTW, the muriatic acid bomb will make a much bigger boom than that :D
It works best with coke bottle, because of the shape, and the plastic is slightly thicker. Makes a bigger boom.
