Hey Everyone,

I’m new here and have a few questions, if someone wouldn’t mind helping me out - don’t flame me if it has been asked…:dunce:

Just got in a G27 and WSP to get started in sim racing (such as, rfactor or iRacing) but I’ve started to enjoy it with shift 2 (after adjusting the advanced settings), since it was the only current racing I own. However, I’m still having a slight issue with regards to shifting.

When paddle shifting the car seems to go into neutral for a sec and then shift to the next gear.

It was suggested that I let off the gas when going to the next gear, and while it’s a bit better, I can still see the car go to N for a quick sec; any way to remedy this? IIRC, I tried using the clutch but still doesn’t work or feel right with the paddles.

This is only my second day of use so any help would be appreciated.

Cheers!

Its always been like that in shift, i think it's the same thing even if you shift with a controller.

At first I wasn't sure what you were talking about, but I've seen it now.

I'm pretty sure the HUD says N whenever the game uses the clutch in between gear shifts. It did it in Shift 1 as well.

mine will invariably shift into neutral as i floor it coming out of a corner. just revs for a half second every time i floor it coming out of the corner on a downshift. grrr...

Also depends on the car you are using: if you're using an oldie, shifting will be slower. Use a modern car with some clutch upgrades, and it shifts almost instantly.

You should not be downshifting coming out of a corner, shift before or during the corner.
