Should I Do It?

I haven't done anything yet, how do I just delete the save like you said so I won't have to re install the game again?

Just go to the saved game folder and back that up and delete.

Like many others have said, why not create another profile on your PS3 and start GT5 from the beginning on that profile? You've already put so much work into the game and I honestly don't see a reason why you should delete your saved game unless you're selling your PS3.

Maybe create a second account? One new and one with extra cars. If u are going to wipe your memory, can I have your cars?

I'm with this guy, if you are going to delete your account can I have your tradeable cars? lol :sly:

No I just want to keep the same name and read the original post if you want to know why I want to wipe out everything and start over...

I think I know what you mean, I've kinda been feeling like there is no real objective anymore other than to improve my techniques. I'm to the point where I have every car that I really want and several million in the bank with no clear goals anymore. I've finished every race with the exception of a few endurance races and my b spec is very close to done and now I'm just focusing on one car at a time and tuning them as well as I can. Also I've started collecting doubles of cars so I can make a drift tune and a race tune for each car. I'd be careful though with deleting your save. I though about doing it too, but I just can't. I did start a 2nd account though so I can play around with being poor again and having a tiny garage. It's kind of a let down honestly.

Finally someone that understands!

I think I'll enjoy it a lot more once I start over to be honest. I want to keep this name though considering I've had it for so long and it is my name here at GTP. I also just want to go back and get all of the cars I overlooked and threw out and I guess just revive the whole GT5 experience again.

I wouldn't delete anything. Just see if you can find some good rooms online and turn all driving aids off (even if others in the room haven't). Then take those cars you have no respect for out for a spin, and you'll enjoy them. Even the FGT can be fun with no driving aids on (just don't try driving it in the dark O.O).

I'll still always have the dreaded Camaro though, that is unless I completely delete the game to get rid of it.

I found out it's linked by account so you'll always have it. :dunce:

So your willing to delete hundred of hours on GT5 for a car thats gonna be with you always?
Have any GT500 cars? I'll take them

I don't think you understand what I'm saying. Read the OP again, It's not just because of the Camaro... :dunce:

Well if you do decide to delete, part out all your cars
and rare paints
It will be WIN

35 aspec and 28 bspec, you still have a ton more to do on carrer and lots more cars to win, much less doing all the license event to win cars. why start over, your only gonna be mad 15 mins after you do. At those Lvls, its about $ cars gear tickets and trading. not to mention online pwnage.

I know exactly what you mean, well I think I do anyway. Your new perception of the game has narrowed down, meaning its way too easy since modes such as seasonal events have cropped up, and the fact that there is like a virtual hyperinflation in the game, money is plentiful....you can buy all your cars, and not have a connection with them in terms of getting to know the cars in their gritty detail such as suspension feel etc etc.....with so many cars, we drive one and move onto another car....this is the way I feel too.

Honestly dude, if you don't like our answers then just go and do it.

I know exqctly what you mean. Hopefully there will be dlc soon mate, then the spark will come back, in the mean time, just race online and stuff, add me if you want. 👍

I'm kind of in the same boat, I currently have three different profiles in an attempt to spice the game up a bit.

Profile #1 - My 'fooling around' profile, where I just buy tons of cars, tune them up and I don't bother maintaining them.

Profile #2 - My 'collect all the premium cars' profile, where I aim to collect all the premium cars in GT5 and I try to keep them as low mileage as possible.

Profile #3 - My 'spend as little money as possible' profile, where I only spend money when I need to and I use prize cars to win races.

I'd recommend you keep your current profile for 'fooling around' and testing cars/tunes and make a second profile to restart the game. If you're fond of your PSN username, then you could make a very similar one, such as 'Crazed_Coupe1'.

Where did I ever post something with displeasure towards anyone's post? I appreciate what all of you have to say about it.

If you want your screen name then create a account with gtp in fornt of your name problem solve.

I've already done it but I'm running into a problem right now, figures with my luck.

Now I feel guilty,o bud that's what I do.Now I feel guilty: ( I just go to arcade mode and challenge myself like that with no his,or find a copy of gt1 or 2 and play that, back up your profile very important

I didn't back it up I deleted the actual game and It's saved data and now I'm re installing the game along with patches. I feel like this'll give me a fresh approach to the game and after all it is just a video game... right? :sly:

Why is DLC always mentioned randomly in a thread... :dunce:

And I told you three times that it's in the SAVE DATA UTILITY folder, not the GAME DATA folder...

I deleted my GT5 save once, I've regretted it ever since. Like seadog777 said, just start up another account!

Don't delete it. Like others have said just start an alternative account just in case.

Seems a bit late, but "cars you did not earn?", it is just a game, take it as an extra.

For motivation; select a few cars (the way you like your cars), select a few tracks and try to drive as fast as you can. Then revisit them regularly and try to beat your old times.
I miss the GT5p timetables, but you can still do it on paper.

It doesn't matter I already tried deleting the save data utility folder and the car was still there so I had to delete the game from the game data folder. I had to re install the game and patches but it's now done and it didn't take to long at all. :dunce:

Thanks for all of your feedback on the topic guys, I greatly appreciate it. 👍

I've now deleted the save and started fresh.
