Is the Australian Signature Edition the American Collector's Edition?

Umm, let me point out that you guys got MORE then just the stealth cars. Think about that for a sec. Really, buying a sig edition just for the cars? I think that the stealth cars should be given out, because we in the US didn't get a chance to get all of them in one package.

Maybe the F1 should be the only exclusive one though. (I didn't have a PS3 then, so I didn't get a chance to pre-order the game)

Good, but put in the F1 too.

No they shouldn't be, I'd prefer completely new cars..

I bought the Collector's Edition just for the extra cars. I would have bought the SE if I had the money and the possibility.

No. I paid $90 for my Collector's Edition. Signature Editions cost much more.

Don't worry too much the gtr gt500 code is not working. Have try it early in the morning and it doesn't work

Worked for me first try.

Yes, so i can get my hands on that beauty SLS;)

No one buys a $300 rare gargantuan edition of GT5 for the cars, it's the whole package & the cars form part of that.

Fact is that often with collectible things there is a limited number therefore they have value, regardless of whether they are a pixelated car, a real car or a stamp or whatever... people don't complain because the thing they collect is rare they complain when it's rendered common by mass dissemination to everyone because what they then have is no longer rare & highly sought after!

No, because it wouldn't be far to the people who bought the signature edition which cost a lot, and then PD release it at a lower price.

Man, I'm sorry, I don't like to be confrontational but some of you are just being elitist snobs about this. Value depreciates over time. Sure you might have paid extra for the content when the game first came out but there's no reason why we shouldn't be denied them now. They're just cars in a virtual world. Consider it like this - you guys got to have fun long before the rest of us. Now we're getting our chance.

Seriously, getting upset over something like this... Don't be so pretentious. This is a game, we should all have the same opportunity to get the same things, especially in an age where almost every game you buy has content added on either for free or with cash after it's released. In short, this was inevitable. You people that paid extra at the beginning knew it, the rest of us knew it. Forget about who's entitled to what and just have fun with the game and the content that's provided to us.

I couldn't have said it any better myself. Thumbs up.

I have some of the stealth cars and rarely get an opportunity to use them. Very few online lobby hosts allow them.

Some people are saying we've had them to ourselves long enough and now it's their turn. I don't care if others get them or not. But, maybe if more people had them then there would be more online races for them.

Um... dude, the Sig Ed wasn't available in the US. You live here too. You're one of the people who stands to benefit if they do make them all available (which I hope they do).

I want 100 Million Dollers, but noooooooo. Why should some people be rich and not me? It's so unfair.

I don't have the cars nor do I think they should be DLC. I don't have them, I wont get them, why? Because I didn't buy a special copy of the game. Now if someone kicks me in the head, should I not get medical attention or would that be unfair to those who doesn't? America got the cars because DLC delayment.

I only want it released just so I can fill my whole in my garage as I stated, I brought the (collector edition) paid $150 Australian for it and I pre-ordered it 2 day after the pre-order was available.

It was sold out Australia Wide in 2 days at the start of the pre-order we never get to many copies of any game when it comes to the production of games for SE (special editions) as our country has a miniature contribution as of people in it at 22 million that New York centrals people in a whole country. DLC stealth and cromeline should be a $30 DLC at least.

And damn there's a reason right there why there are NO PP races over *cough* 550pp *cough* pathetic online races Below 550pp,drive real cars POWER POWER performance cars/race cars 600-750pp you know LMP and proper race cars racing.

Off topic, but what's the other free stealth car besides the GT500 GTR?

Thanks. :)

Honestly I don't care too much. I got all the stealth cars already but as long as they don't release ALL of them then I'm fine with it. It's good to have rare cars. And if they release all but one PLEASE don't release the McLaren :D

To all the people who are saying "No, I had to pay for mine.." You're very sad people.

There is no reason to deny somebody else something just so you can feel special. It's been almost a year now. There's no reason to keep those cars locked away when they could be enjoyed by the entire community.

Well we did have to pay for ours. All of a sudden people suddenly get them for free? Just because they COULD be released to everyone doesn't mean they should! Think of it like this. If you see someone drop a wallet with 200 dollars in it, does it mean you should take it? That's pretty much what this is becoming if they plan on releasing them all.

The only thing that gets me is the fact here in the UK if you pre-ordered the bog standard GT5 you got 2 stealth cars, I pre-ordered the next one up from that and got the chromeline cars but not one stealth car. I paid extra and while I got cars others didn't the people who paid less still managed to get something for free I didn't

That is not anything like the same thing. If you drop a wallet containing $200 and I find it and keep it, you lose $200 and I gain $200. This is material loss.

If you spend $200 on a game and get access to, say 11 cars with unusual livery, and then Sony decides to give them away to anyone else. This does not lose you anything at all. You are not materially affected one little bit.

On the other hand, if the cars are encoded onto every GT5 disc, and they must be because a mere 100K download isn't going to contain a car, just an unlock code, then it could be argued that anyone buying any version of GT5 is therefore entitled to the cars as they are part of the GT5 game they have bought.

Doesn't take away the fact we payed a lot extra.

Doesn't take away the fact we payed a lot extra.

True, but that was your choice. You could have just as easily chosen not to get the extra content and taken the gamble on the fact that they would release them later. The stealth cars are not even the best cars on the game. They're just a different paint scheme and tuned out. There are plenty of cars to have fun with, stealth or not.

Game developers shouldn't give anyone something for free when somebody else had to pay for it.
It's stupid, I don't have the Stealth cars or the Chromelines. I didn't pay for it, so why should I have the cars?

Sure apperently they gave NA cars for free because of some misstake from what I've heard. It's a nice thing to do, to make up for what happend, but is it right? No, because now people are whining(Mostly europeans) because they didn't get it for free. They shouldn't have given the cars away for free anyways, they could have just said "Oh we are sorry for the misstake bla bla bla" and people would have moved on.

Yes it's unfair and what not, who cares?! If you cant handle "unfair" in games how the hell do you guys get up from the bed in the morning? Life is unfair, and if you cant handle it on internet then tell me how can you stay alive, shouldn't you have already committed suicide? It's just sad that you all expect everything to be free. But you are right to have the opinions about it. Europe, Asia, South America or Scandinavia didn't get a free car, big deal.

Then why the special content in the first place? Explain that.
And yeah, there are other cars to have fun with, so why the making a big deal out of it?! What you are saying doesn't hold water. It's like you are trying to say "release the cars for everyone, but we don't really want them"?

If there are plenty of cars to have fun with, why do you want the stealth models?

You're missing the point entirely. Sure, we didn't pay for the content at the offset but why does it matter in the grand scheme? Who loses out in this? The people that paid at first? So you paid for a premium service and now a year later everyone else gets a chance. Knowing that prices go down over time it's just natural progression. This happens with any product you purchase... even if you buy something early, the value is going to go down eventually and it's going to be made more widely available. It's bad business for it not to.

PD isn't stupid. They have a product that everyone wants. They got money out of the die-hards that wanted it first, now they're using the content to entice the rest of us. It's a win for the company and it's a win for the players. To not see that is to be blissfully ignorant.
