I voted yes, and as a sub-forum of B-Spec. There are many threads on Remote Race, so I think it deserves its own section.

Errr... There already is a B-Spec sub forum, or have I missed something?

Edit: yeah, I missed something, but what's wrong with discussing it in the B-Spec forum? I would imagine there's not much else to talk about there, offline B-Spec has been pretty much covered by now.

Edit again: I think another forum for it would be a bit redundant and over complex, and would probably be ignored. In fact I saw quite a few threads asking for RR friends pop up all over even though a thread for that in the B-Spec subforum was into it's 7th page by then, indicating that the B-Spec forum gets ignored anyway... Then again, if there was a subforum for RR then maybe that one wouldn't get ignored. Hmm. Well, it's up to the staff, I guess.

I'm not sure that I understand why a Remote Racing subforum would be necessary at this time.

Remote racing certainly has taken off in a big time. Whether its a fad which will quickly reduce in intensity or continue to grow, if it does continue a new sub forum might be in order. Standard b-spec topics quickly disappear as it stands now.

If a/some remote racing threads are in the B-Spec section, which they should be, and they are popular, which they are, they won't "quickly disappear". They'll stay at the top of the section, making it easy to find them. If anything, I would think a sticky for certain threads would do the trick.

One or two stickies for remote racing should do IMO. There's the FAQ already, and I think maybe another with a remote racing guide/tutorial/howto in it should do the trick. And maybe one or two more for regular B-Spec. Should be enough to answer most of the questions (which I assume will become less when more and more people know how it works). 👍
