At this point I'll try anything to try and help my back pain so I bought one of these massagers. I can't really tell if it helps much. It tends to bother me more when I'm in the driving position either sitting in my racing rig or driving long distances in the car. If I'm racing and I get out of the rig then it starts to ease a little. Using this massager is about the same time frame as if I didn't use it. It's not like it's instant relief. Using it feels a little weird though. Makes my eyes vibrate a little.

I bought this and a charger for controllers off Facebook Marketplace for 175. Haven't hooked it up yet I'm almost sure the game can't be downloaded as I bought it used. Lady had bought it for her grandson but it messed with his head and couldn't use it (ADHD) he was only 7 years old.

If you sit around a lot, your hamstrings, hip flexors, and spinal erectors tighten while your glutes and abs weaken.

You need to stretch and workout your glutes and abs.

This last video is super helpful. I'm not saying that you have anterior pelvic tilt, but those two first short videos can get you started with relief right away.

Massage guns are good for muscle knots, especially in the calves and quads, or breaking up fascia under the skin but theyre not good for injuries or strains. Best avoid the use of the gun on the lower back.

I've been going through lower back pain again ever since I almost blew it out carrying something heavy. My lifting partner dropped the item which caused my spine to torque to the right as I desperately compensated witb my hip flexors to hold the weight.

Again, not saying you have a major injury, but stretching, working out, and moving helps with recovery.

What hinders you is prolonged sitting and lying down.

About 13 or 14 years ago my then doctor took an x-ray of my lower back and asked me if I had jumped off something high because I had a compression in my lower spine. He showed me where there should be dark areas between the discs I have just a hairline of a dark area between one or two discs I can't remember which. But I had not jumped off something high so I don't know how I got it. I definitely don't sit around at work. It's up and down all day long.

When it really hurts it's a intense burning sensation in the lower right quadrant of my back just above my hip. The thing that gets it going is sitting in the driving position putting pressure on the gas pedal with my right foot. Once the race is finished or I pause and take my foot off the pedal, it starts easing. Just sitting doesn't bother me much. At the Ghost concert I had to sit in my seat before the show for roughly an hour and a half or so and it didn't bother me until right at the end before the show started and I was standing the whole time after that. But it's that extending my right foot and putting pressure that lights me on fire.

I have no doubt it's some sort of nerve issue that's causing the problem. I will take a look at the videos. Thanks.

I suffer sciatica badly, when my back goes I'm technically a cripple for 2 weeks, you have to plan your route just to get to the toilet so you know what things to grab hold of just for support or just crawl & you just try wiping your ass afterwards or even trying to put socks on is an absolute mission.

If you're starting to develop it then prep yourself, everything you do you'll have to learn to do the opposite ie little things like if you always sit on the left side of sofa & lean your body towards the arm rest then start sitting on the right side, change what way you sleep etc, the way you lift things or twist body, everything you naturally do you need to be conscious & do the opposite.

And whatever you do, do not & I repeat do not sleep with your other half in the same bed because if she/he moves & accidentally nudges you then you're in for a very bad time (extremely painful back spasms that'll bring tears to your eyes)

I've suffered/put up with it & worked around it for over 15 years, my back normally goes anytime from a simple thing like drying my toes after a shower so it's got nothing to do with heavy lifting & can happen 2 or 4 times a year (luckily I've not had it this year yet but It'll happen at some point) normally when you think everything is good & your all relaxed then go to move to quickly in a strange way & pop, it's gone.

Wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy & yes it is more painful than childbirth because as I said to my wife "you chose to have another child" you wouldn't want back spasms ever again after having it once.
