My almost exactly one year old Brooks are basically slicks under the balls of my feet so it was time for some new shoes. Should be delivered a few days before the trip so hopefully they break in quickly! :scared:

Edit:

Forgot about my new shirt!

Bought my first pair of Brooks about a month ago, Adrenaline 25 GTS, and they are the best shoe I think I’ve ever owned! Comfortable like my HOKA’s but way more support. Awesome shirt.

A 2025 iPad Pro 13" with 256GB, specifically for the LiDAR sensor and a few other things. I think it'll be perfect for what I'm trying to achieve with my applied research. Feels I've been missing out on using the pen tablets for my design work.

I bought a few other things along with it.

My latest purchase to complete my 'classic Yes era' vinyl collection - Relayer signed by Roger Dean (the album cover artist).

It was expensive, and I'm kind of taking it on trust that the sig is genuine - based on the seller's profile, I have good reason to believe that it is real; it is, however, also a bit of a lesson - don't buy stuff in the middle of the night without properly scrutinising the photos; the seller in this case didn't explicitly point out a fairly major flaw, even though it is clearly visible in the photos they uploaded - I just didn't bother to look at them closely enough; I was perhaps a bit hasty because of the pretty rare nature of the item, and that it would likely be snapped up quickly. The cover is slightly damaged, but it also has some writing in biro above the logo which is quite annoying, but I'm hoping that I can get that fixed a bit, but otherwise I'm pretty happy with it.

I also have 'Fragile' and 'Going For The One' on vinyl, the former being one of Roger Dean's most iconic and classic album covers - it's not on the shelf because I don't have room, but it is there. GFTO is not a Dean cover but has Dean's classic Yes logo - it was designed by Hipgnosis, who also did 'Dark Side Of The Moon' among many other classic rock album covers, but GFTO was, alas, not their finest hour - great if you like naked men's butts, but not my cup of tea. Their next album, Tormato, was also Hipgnosis and was arguably one of their worst album covers, so they brought back Roger Dean soon after that.

@Pako and anyone else looking for Brooks, they're currently in Woot. Can usually save a handful of dollars.

Decided to chase down the last available local copy of this:

Heard some good things about it, and being an 80's kid so I couldn't miss it
Randomly stopped by my local game store, I didn't even know it was just released today.

And I don't even have a Nintendo Switch 2....

But will be getting the Zelda 40th anniversary edition whenever that comes out ...

In the meantime, my reward early dinner :

Bowers and Wilkins HTM 72 S3 to compliment the 706 speakers I had bought recently.
It's was on back order for around 6 weeks so very happy to finally receive it, came with a bonus pair of PI6 earbuds so not complaining.

Arcam A15+ stereo amplifier predominantly for all my 2 channel music listening but I also wanted an amp to integrate to my HT setup, as the Arcam has HT Bypass it ticked that box also as it allows me to drive the front two speakers with the Arcam in multi-channel sound when connected to my AV Receiver via the Receiver's pre-outs.

Between the new amp and speakers it's almost as if I'm re-discovering some music again as I'm just happy to sit back and listen to album after album.
My Receiver does a good job with 2 channel music but to get it to sound very nice I had to turn it up pretty loud, the Arcam does a much better job at lower levels for late night listening as well as louder volumes.

Besides the new kicks (thanks @TB ), just got my car back after being gone 4 days. Getting some paint corrections, pff, and ceramic done. They did a great job! They did my truck 5 years ago and it still shines.
