This Is England is a cult classic. The 3 TV series are incredibly good too. The quality of the acting (especially given the inexperience of some of them) is incredible. Some of Stephen Grahams best work too in my opinion.
 
Just treated my self to this , after getting a long service reward of £200 , for working for 40 years in Royal Mail, Currys dropping the price of the PS5 to £400.

Picked up some replacement Joycon thumb sticks.

£7 Inc delivery with all the tools needed and two thumb sticks vs £50 to £60 for a replacement pair of Joycons.

It was a no brainer. Replaced the drifting stick and it’s back to brand new now.

I've decided against waiting for Samsung's next Ultra handset and stuck with Oppo after their new flagship got a global release this week. This order also includes the chance to claim a free smartwatch worth £300 which... I mean yeah, why the hell not?

Black Friday week is the best time for sunglasses lol. Went a little crazy since I've wanted Revo Omegas for a while but was waiting for a cheaper set to show up on eBay. Little did I know Revo would put them up at 75% off. :eek:

So, basically, I got all 3 colorways. Really needed something without a frame on the lower lateral sides for the bike. Should be good for biking and for golf.

Also got the Polars with the blue lens for anything water-related, though I haven't sailed or fished in ages. And they had a photochromic option for the bike when it's daylight savings and the rides start out super dark.

Then I got a set of Annika 1s for mom, and some Costa Skimmers just because they look like my glass driving Oakleys which are kind of scratched up after using them for 10-15 years.

Internal fan failed on my T300. And since I have no intention at this point of moving back to console for my sim racing, figured now’s the perfect time to upgrade. Black Friday deals helped as well.

Finally upgraded my 6 year old Phillips TV. Will miss the Ambilight but going from 43” to 50”, proper HDR, VRR 144Hz will be nice. Still shopping from the budget aisle (comparitively) but first impressions are very good.

TCL make some fantastic TVs now. So much in fact they’re pushing the larger named brands and what’s on offer seems expensive from the likes of Sony, LG & Samsung.

The only problem I have with my 2 year old 65" TCL TV is sometimes it doesn't sinc with my cable box and surround sound. It will power up and surround sound will have sound but the TV will have blue screen no picture. The TV has a reset button on back where HDMI inputs are which takes care of it. You might want to find the reset button in case you ever have problem with picture. Also not too fond of the remote so small it's hard for me to use I have RA Arthritis so I drop it often. The only time I use remote is changing inputs and sometimes powering it on when cable remote doesn't power it up. Overall very happy with TV.

Also if the TV is turned to eARC while the Soundbar isn’t on, it won’t then send a picture sometimes. Unfortunately HDMI can be picky no matter the brand or cost of TV.

You're more than likely right I was just trying to let him know where the reset button was. Sometimes I can turn the system off and back on and it's OK if that doesn't fix it I'll use the reset button.
 
Been looking at console covers for the PS5 for a while as the white always catches my eye whilst watching TV. I'd been looking at 3rd party ones as they're half the price of official Sony ones, but as Sony had a Black Friday offer on them i've gone for the real deal.

Since the console was due to be pulled out of its crevice and unplugged, thought i might as well treat it to some more memory as i'm forever deleting and reinstalling stuff from my 'collection'.

Can't believe all the dust i had to hoover from the fans and cooling ducts!

I really could do with to give mine a bit of a spring/winter clean.
 
I've slowed down on my slot car collecting because of more important (and vastly more expensive) real world purchases happening at the moment (a full kitchen, dining and lounge room renovation is currently taking shape), so only two trucks and two new controllers. The controllers have far more adjustments, and most importantly, working adjustable brakes.

My wife has been been having a bit of fun with her input too. She gives me the ideas of what to put where and purchases the small animals and trees. In my head it was going to be just plain but I kind of like it now.

I’ve been thinking of selling my gaming PC and getting a ps5 pro. Idk why I’m so against pc gaming sometimes. I’m like tired and want to relax on the couch.
 
I bought myself a new laptop. An ASUS Vivobook Pro 15, it seemed like a good deal on black friday. So far, I like it for being quiet, being snappy, and having a great screen. It looks better than my monitor.

This is a women's colorway but imo it's superior to the ridiculous colors on all their other stuff. Normally the women's models are an inch shorter to accomodate their typically smaller clubs. However, the 2.5+ bag is so light that the men's and women's models are exactly the same. I'm gonna go to Streamsong and Cabot Citrus Farms in the coming years, so I wanted a super light carry bag to take with me since they don't do carts there.
