Well, despite having been able to fix my YLOD PS3 which I've had for three and a half years, what with the recently released new 2101A model PS3 with the 40nm GPU, and a nicely priced bundle at Costco, I decided it was time to add an additional PS3 to the family:
And a couple new games:
I was very surprised at the quality of the deck of cards that Walmart was giving away as a promo for Red Dead Redemption, and they are in fact identical to the cards in the game:
Costco also had a great sale on Disney and Pixar Blu-ray +DVD movies ($15 each), so I picked up a couple that I hadn't gotten already:
I also picked up a Hauppauge HD PVR from New Egg which had it on sale for only $180 with free shipping:
I'm planning on using it to start making some HD videos from the PS3 as well as make copies of HD programs I have recorded on one of our DVRs that is malfunctioning, as Time Warner will not transfer programs from one DVR to another.
I also went on a small spending spree on Monoprice.com although the great thing about Monoprice is that it's all so inexpensive. I got all of the following (7-port & 4-port USB Expansion Hubs, 2x TOSLINK cables, and two USB extension cables) - all for under $30 with shipping. 👍
