I don't want to hijack this thread out of respect for all of us initial D fans but i have another car color related question and didn't want to start a new one.
Does anyone know if the e46 bmw m3 is available in laguna seca blue. my dream car in my dream color.

Man, i'm sad about no blue color! But in GT4, the 180SX and the Sileighty supposed to have a mini-spoiler (like in GT2). Most of 180SX in Japan has a mini-wing, not in GT4 :(.
 
since were speaking of colors...i must ask, i love initial D, dont get me wrong but...

im a taurus fan, i drive one (95) my dad drives one (98) both SE's...can you get a picture of the SHO with all the color variations? :-)

the official sileighty (as in gt4) was actually built by Kids' Heart, a nissan dealer which was approved by nissan. look up google and youll find their website. they also run a car in d1 last ive heard. i think the gt2 version isnt an official sileighty, as it had the normal front bumper, old tailamps and a bomex wing. official ones had "kouki" side skirts, taillamps, spoiler and the oem optional front bumper fitted standard.
 
There were only 500 Sileighties made. All of them were Kouki 180SX Type X with S13 Aero bumpers, Just like the game. The Sileighty in the game is correct.

GT4's Sil-eighty are all 'Kouki', that means late version

But the one from past GT is Early version, which it comes with early version front and tail lamp. Exactly same as the one from Initial D

ALL early and later version are Nissan Approved Product
 
you guys also have to consider the amount of people that simply do it themselves.

get a 180, stick the silvia(s130-15, not just 13) on the front with one of many available conversion kits...and presto, sileighty.
 
Isn't Bunta's Impreza a 2 door? I've only seen a model kit picture.

AE86Driver: I think your best bet for an initial D garage is GT2. I think you can get pretty much everything except Itsuki's car (AE85). (from the 1st 3 stages, anyway. Haven't seen the new ones)

-Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX type-II(white on top, black on bottom) (Fujiwara Takumi). GT can't simulate the engine swap, NA doesn't tune that high

-Nissan Silvia/ S13, white (Kouichirou Iketani)

180SX Type S (worst power/weight ratio in a stock FR)
180SX Type X '94

-Mazda RX-7 Savanna/ FC3S, white (Ryousuke Takahashi)
-Mazda RX-7/ FD3S '91, yellow (Keisuke Takahashi)
-Nissan Skyline GT-R/ R32, black (Takeshi Nakazato) I don't know of it's year or Vspecness
-Honda Civic/ EG6, red (Shingo Shouji) Si or Type R?

+One of the RedSuns is a MkIII Supra, caught that in a freeze frame. Probably a lot of other cars you could get like that, I just like Supras.

The only iffy one is that Mercedes. I think its the same body style as the E55 in the game, but the car in Initial D probably isn't the AMG version. Close enough, I guess.

If you go to japan, there's a good chance of seing others transformations regarding other brands, and not only nissan.... stuff like:

Oneline - 180sx front + Any Skyline rear
Onevia - 180sx front + Any Silvia rear
Zeight - 240 Fairlady Z front + 180sx rear
Silline - Any Silvia Front + Any Skyline rear (the usual is a S15 with an R34)
Sopra - Soarer Front + Supra Rear

and so on.... most of the are made into drift cars and such.... imo gt4 should have had some of these.... they are really nice cars... specially the Zeight

I've seen a few Soapras, but I didn't know the whole front end swap thing was so popular. Maybe I'll just go google some of those...

Not sure about it, but the one in Initial D Special Stage is IMPREZA WRX STi Version VI (GC8), the picture has 4 doors.

edit: But in the comic (manga), it only has 2 doors. Ha ha !

By 22B, I think you mean this one (Solid Blue Mica)

Some guys said Type-R WRX STi Version V Grand Blue Mica, but in GT4, there is only a version VI.

Bunta drives a Subaru Impreza WRX STi Version V type R with STi Sport Bumper and 22B wing. The STi Sport Bumper was a non-factory part designed to replicate the 22B/WRC bumper. Likewise, the 22B wing was not offered from factory either. Bunta's car is rather unique.

In the manga, it was Cool Grey Metallic. In the anime, it looks to be Sonic Blue Mica, which was only available on the type R STi Version V Limited.

Either way, he does NOT drive a 22B.

hmm I don't recall him drivin around the mountains with it... I gotta pretty much start watching stage 2 over again anyway so I'll keep an eye out for it.

well,your statement is "true",but Bunta does have a little run in with Takumi at the beginning of episode 7 in the anime of Fourth Stage,but easily passes him,so it's not really considered a race :p. It was way too short to be a race anyways. Besides..this kind of reminds me of when Takumi met Keisuke on the first episode of First Stage. That really wasn't a race,but they declared an official race later,so maybe Takumi will actually RACE Bunta later? I don't know,didn't finish manga,sorry :bowdown:

hehe yeah that'd be a sweet race, I got my money on the old man :D I'm just ichin' to see him in action cuz he sounds like a badass driver and his car is one of my favs.
 
hehe i consider the bunta and takumi confrontation a race because takumi was trying, and bunta probably was kinda trying too, and they were 'racing' down akina, trying to beat the other person.

Thanks for the corrections. I got the names of some half-ass fanpage, which is why it's missing some of them.
I got the red/black Levin (AE86) instead of Itsuki's real car because 1) You're right, there is no AE85 in the game and 2) Itsuki fantisizes about having a red/black Levin at some point.
