I'm not one to knock anyone's style...I think it's cool that people develop their own personal drifting styles and such but I can't see the appeal in a 1000hp drift car...In my opinion, drifts look better slow and smooth...I can't see a car with a stage 4 turbo ever doing that.

Exactly, do you know how hard it is to drift a Jag XJ220 and make it look decent?
I can link drifts together even in my yucky high mileage Trueno (almost stock) I have no idea how anyone can drift with supersofts. Mind you for my FF configurated FT0 drifter I have Mediums on the front and sims on the rear.
Doesn't anyone use the dual analog control configuration?
Then it's piss easy to regulate the throttle and keep it at a constant, or slightly raise it or lower it. Mind you i'd rather be using a steering wheel, or a real car (but my car is ****).
I'd have a check what time my overall fastest was.
I think I did it with like a GT40 or a ......... forgot.
The time for passing the tt is like 4:49.000.
I got bored with GT3/GTC so I started to replay GT2 for some odd reason.
altezza is an easy car to setup. like i had posted up in another thread...
before you tune your car...know your car. check to see how much your car weighs and then combine that thought with what kind of car it is (ie - FF/FR/MR/4WD) every car has a different percentage of distribution of weight to the front or back due to where the engine is located.
once you know all that...apply your knowlege to the settings of the spring rates/shock bound and rebound/stabilizer levels/brake levels/ride height. with heavier cars...you are naturally going to need different amounts of spring rates, dampers, and stabilizers BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY brake levels.
it takes a lot more breaking power to stop a CL600 than it does to stop an RX-7. just use some common sense...if you follow my guidelines...im sure you will be totally comfortable with setting up any car in the game within 2 days of playing around in the menus.
and to put up my suggestion for drift cars...
for cars about 300+ hp.....use sim tires
for cars about 500+ hp.....use normal tires
for cars about 800+ hp.....use sport/super slick tires
My S15 Silvia seems to understeer most out of all my drift cars. Still manage to have fun with it though.
