What's next for tracks in gt4? I'm hoping Lemans is in, that track is long, not as long as the oldl nurb but long. I wonder how long it took pd to record everything on the old nurb and put it in gt4.

I was just thinking that. I would like Sears Point just because I live near it.

I did see a screenshot a couple of weeks ago that had those little banners on the start/finish area that you see at Spa. Anyone know where that is? They are long, vertical banners that are blue if that helps.

Here's hoping, I love that track too.

i want initial D courses. or ones that are alot like them. doubt its gonna happen tho. also more courses like citti.

Imagine drifting on the whole nurb track :D 174 turns =P

I don't think those downhill battles will be in GT4. Now, you can hope they do, since you are a bigger fan of them as I am (I said I liked "Initial D," remember?), but if they do get in, I don't know... well, I can tell you like this. There will be drifting, but I don't think downhill battles are possible in GT4. They can be done, but I don't think a lot of GT fans would want to slip and slide down a mountain. To me, if they want to do ANY racing involving hills of some kind, they'll most likely want to play Gran Turismo 2 with the condensed version of Pikes Peak. I don't think the downhill is as fun as going up, up, up into the clouds. So to answer your question about that, we'll leave that up to PD.

As far as CobraGT goes, 174 turns of drifting madness. Sounds cool. I think I even seen a segment on SPEED Channel last year whereas Marcus Gronholm (I think it was him), took his Peugeot 206 WRC around the Nurburgring long course (you know, part of the 24 hour race there). It was pretty cool. If traffic was halted or the city was shut down like the Nissan DVD called "The Run," then that Peugeot would tear ass across the streets. And since they are bumpy with jumps, you MIGHT think of "Nurb" as a road/rally course. Drifting? Sounds cool to me. I don't know if I would, though.

Who knows where we go from here. With this in the bag I won't mind either way - with the prototypes and GT race cars we have, I can easily recreate a true Nurburgring enduro.

To Dorifto:

One whole year ago from now, I posted on GranTurismo.com about my expereince watching the PD team model Infineon Raceway (Sears Point) over the course of two days, using a movable crane texture-scanner, experiemental 10 megapixel cameras, and multiple GPS backpacks.

It is my understanding, considering to which great lengths every PD member was going in order to make the track as meticulously accurate as possible, that this racetrack will be in Gran Turismo 4 for sure.

If you look at the track data file in GT4Prologue, there's a track called "Fineon," almost absolutely for sure a knock-off name for Infineon.

Hope that puts a smile on your face :)

That's that then.

BTW, i'm very sure there isn't going to be downhill drifting because of PD's outlook. Drifting down public roads isn't condoned by them, so all the racing will be confined to dedicated motorsport facilities.

One kiddie thinks he can drift in reality like he can in GT4 (what with the "simulation" tag'n'all), then soon you have a class action against you...

i never knew they actually used newyork, tokyo and hong kong as an actual raceway. thats crazy.

For that matter, Seattle has never had a race through it either.

How about getting some Long Beach or Detroit action?

racing the nurb on GT4 will be so awesome :D weee I can't wait, about time a GT game got a proper long race track.

Not sure racing on the nurb is gonna happen.
The very fact that some sections are v narrow and from those experienceing E3 nurb, and the screen shots released.
It would appear that the nord is gonna be a one car deal.
The nurb is the new complex string!

Maybe they could get 2 cars on, but not expecting to see a full field race.

Well at least we can take a spin on it in oure fictive cars....

Most people here will probably never see it, let alone race on it, so even if it would be a one car deal it would still be good enough to me.

I'd like to see the Pike's Peak track from GT2 back in GT4, gosh, that track is almost buried to the grave. And I like to see the other Nurburgring track that those F1 cars uses.

You'd think that it would be considerate to not be greedy, but since they keep on prolonging the release date, I think its owed to us, lets be greedy. lol All this wait better have been to include more tracks and more cars.

I want some NFSHP2 courses, where we race through the country from check point to check point, driving in a closed course can get boring.

Thank you lord! ;) :D
I hope Complex String makes a return though (with a bit of a 'paint job'.

Its kinda funny. When i first found out that Nurb would be on GT4 I ran to my Pro Race Driver and took out my charger on the old nurb. If its anything like pro race driver it will be soo hard. i keep missing corners and smashing into walls on blind corners up hill. Damn. Then i put in the sim code to see how the steering might be better, alittle more like gt. and dman. I took out the skyline. I was smashing inot stuff so bad. And i ahd a natural time of what 2 mins.

...ok then...

I had the one car thought on the way to university this morning, we've only seen one car on it from all the pics I've seen, and since KY said it'd be impossible, maybe to make it possible it can't hold more than one machine... That'd be a shame...

Lambo, that's the F1 track you're driving in Pro Race Driver and not the full 13 mile 'north loop' that will be featured in GT4. Big difference.

Wootage! Six cars able to race on the 'ring at the same time. :)

Yeah I just watched that video myself, how great is that? This really is going to own now, even more so than ever before. Online Nurburgring enduros... Merry Christmas Earth.

Is the old nurb on PRD? or is it a mod for the PC version?

Once I get GT4 at home, this will be the first track I will drift on, but first I will race on it :D

I cannot wait any longer for this game to come out!!!

I kept counting them too, I'm so sleepy I counted seven in one shot :dunce: Stupid double vision.

So can we expect some 100lap Mustang-Man style endurances like on Complex String?

:D

I'll just keep those details a secret for now. ;)
