Bring on the competitors!!! I don't think many will stand against the aerodynamics of a 350z and the sheer power behind the RB. :D

Aaah, you can see the ground from inside the car, are they gonna put a botton on it?

It's not like it was a very rare car anyway. Think of all those Z's that are being bastardized into drift cars, or, worse, show cars! At least this one should be fast.

That argument isn't going to get you very far with me since I'm a fan of drifting. However, I will agree with the show car part though. There's nothing worse than a show car.

I don't believe you need a huge ass wing, and an asphalt scraping bodykit to go drifting, so yes, it's bastardizing.

Where is the rules on how to make a drift car PR? Because I don't have some gaud-ass wing, nor a bodykit the can show it's colors on a turn.

There are no rules, but where is it written you need them? It's not like you're going fast enough for them to have any effect on aerodynamics anyway, it's all about the bling.

Actually, pro drift cars take corners at speeds approaching 100 MPH. Those wings do have an effect. And, contrary to popular belief, downforce is improtant in drifting, as are high grip tires. Drifting happens on the edge of control, and aero parts and tires raise the amount of angle that can be sustained in a corner, thereby creating a more impressive drift.

I would truly be impressed if transplanted the whole Skyline drivetrain under a 350Z (or better yet..a 240 Z ;) ). It seems that the only thing Skyline in that car is the engine, becuase the trans looks like it has an adapter plate, I can see the solid front axle, and the back is clearly not IRS.

But still pretty cool, nonetheless.

Honestly, I don't get the point of putting a Skyline engine in a Z. After all, they've been running the JGTC GT-Rs with Z engines (VQ35DE) for a year or two now.

this has been done way before the 350z, its been done with the 240z, (i have a picture but its to big to upload) and its been done with the 300zx, ill post the pictures of that tomorrow if i get a chance

How about something a little bit weirder...

To answer the question of 'why?': it's because he blew his VQ engine twice (I think it was twice) and he drives for Signal Auto (who has tons of experience with SR20DET's.). It also probably helps lighten the car up. I still would've gone with the RB26 or RB25, but....oh well.
