Slack FFB on G27...

I just switched from an ancient DFP to a shiny new G27. The force feedback is much smoother, but seems to give less of a feel for what the car's doing. Anyone else experienced this?

There is a slight dead zone in the center. Make sure your ffb is at the correct setting. Go to gt settings and use Dfp ffb settings to adjust.
Settings:
Active steer: off
Ffb strength: 5-8

I thought the biggest difference was the change from "direct gear mesh(DFGT)" to a belt drive(G27) setup.

The machinery itself is infinitely superior, no question. The feel of it is fantastic. My issue is that it seems to be communicating less of what's happening on the track, particularly changes in suspension loading. I'm wondering if this is due to the G27 not being fully supported by GT5.
 
i use the g27 with ffb on 10. imo the feeling for the car is very good. just a matter of habit, i think. just play some more!

ah, and why don´t you just go buy the alfa competizione or any ferrari and tell me again you don´t feel the weight transfer :)
 
The transmission of the effects is so much smoother you don't notice it as much as the violent jerks of the DFP.
 
I did the same upgrade and it took a little while to get used to the different feel. I think the G27 actually conveys more information about what the car is doing, but it does so more subtlely. I love the G27 feedback now, and couldn't imagine going back to a DFP. Just hang in there with it.
