Is anyone here into slipknot? I'm a huge fan and was wondering if it was possible to get their Disasterpieces DVD in like Target or somethin.

I can understand some of it. I like that kind of music because the instraments sound cool like when they beat the drums really fast and play really low notes.

I'd rather listen to my head being bashed through twelve different panes of glass at one time. they hit their guitars and scream. Thats not music.

I have both self-titled albums and Iowa. There's a another but I haven't seen it in stores. Btw, I'm guessing he likes country? Every country song sounds the same to me.

Ick. Slipknot.

Death metal is crap.

I hate Puddle of mud. They sound like an 80's band. SOAD is good until he starts to sing. Them other ones are good too. I also like Mudvayne, Sevendust, Korn, Slayer, Killswitch Engage, Stone Sour, and some other ones.

...and?

Some of the greatest music was generated in the 80s.

I actually bought one of Slipknot's albums 3 or 4 years ago. I liked Wait and Bleed at one time. Then I opened my eyes (ears) and stopped listening to them.

I like flock of seagulls, and some other stuff. Wait and bleed gets old after a while. I really like Heretic Anthem. I've seen a video of them playing that song live and it was the best.

Agreed.

I don't understand how anybody could enjoy listening to people scream. I'd rather listen to almost anything else than listen to somebody screaming with loud nonsense playing behind it (Slipknot). I don't mind some screaming in songs, but when it's in every song and for the majority of the song, I simply can't get into it.

SOAD is good until he starts to sing.

Do you dislike the fact that the lead singer actually sings from time to time instead of just screaming really loud through every song?

I used to love Slipknot. I saw them at the Pledge of Allegiance tour, bought both their CDs, did school reports on them, followed everything they did. But now it's just not my thing. It got boring and I don't think as highly as I once did about them. They're not horrible, but I haven't listened to either of their CDs in a good couple of years.

New Slipknot CD comes out May 25th. :D

They are also touring soon with Fear Factory and Chimaira. 👍

This is their first tour since 2002, I can't miss them.

Couldn't have put it better myself and I agree on Serj (SOAD's lead singer) he actually has tallent, compared to allot of modern rock vocalists.

I had the Album with Wait and Bleed on it for a while, I kinda lost interest after a while and gave it to someone.

Could someone please explain why they like them? I mean it can't be for musical ability anyway.

The lead singer of slipknot can sing, just look at stone sour. Ya, the singer in SOAD can sing, it just sounds wierd when he does. Btw, I don't just like death metal, I like all kinds of modern rock. What is their CD called? I can't wait to get it.

If any of you have the "Spiderman" soundtrack look no further than the very slow and sombre vocal song named "Bother", which is sung by Corey Taylor. (Slipknots lead singer ;))

Great track. 👍

My point exactly. He is a good singer, it's just not slipknots nature. I like get inside by stone sour a lot.
