OK

First you say you dont like 80's bands ,then you list slayer and flock of seagulls ? As i remember they were both 80's bands. And i like all music except rap :yuck: .

I have cd's ranging from classic country ,oldies, rock to heavy music. I like mudvayne, drowning pool ,even have slipknot.

And as for metallica being heavy metal:lol:  Thats really funny , let me say as pantera put it at ozfest a few years ago

metallica are a bunch of sell out pussies that wouldnt know heavy music if it meant there lives. The last metallica album that was half decent was the black album,IMO master of the puppets was the last of the real metal they produced.

For some reason the local rock station seems to be in love with Metallica. Some of the older stuff is okay, but not when its played constantly. I want to slam my car into the nearest ditch whenever one of their songs comes on.

Dude, listen to Metallica instead of Slipknot. Thats some high quality metal.

I'd listen to Metallica, but I prefer Slipknot better. Slipknot is one of my top 3 favorite bands.
My Favs. in order:
1. Slayer
2. Slipknot
3. Brujeria

Is anyone here into slipknot?

yes, I am, I think Slipknot are awsome. Listen to "My Plage" (Iowa CD), thats my favorite Slipknot song. I also like "The Heretic Anthem", "Wait and Bleed", "Only One", and all others

Agreed.

I don't understand how anybody could enjoy listening to people scream. I'd rather listen to almost anything else than listen to somebody screaming with loud nonsense playing behind it (Slipknot). I don't mind some screaming in songs, but when it's in every song and for the majority of the song, I simply can't get into it.

Do you dislike the fact that the lead singer actually sings from time to time instead of just screaming really loud through every song?

-Mark

They are not screaming, they are singing. I like to hear them out lound from my stereo. Slipknot Rule!

Some of the greatest music was generated in the 80s.

I actually bought one of Slipknot's albums 3 or 4 years ago. I liked Wait and Bleed at one time. Then I opened my eyes (ears) and stopped listening to them.

You are right, some of the best music was generated in the 80's. Like Slayer's best album Reign in Blood came out in 1986, and Hell Awaits came out in 1985 (the same year I was born)

I also like all the masks that Slipknot have
EDIT: Times changed for me, my favorite bands are:
Slayer
Iron Maiden
Judas Priest
Slipknot
Mushroomhead
