Don't judge them because of their looks! :twisted:

Many people think that Slipknot is a horrifying band, and are lots of times scared to listen to them. In most of the songs, Correy(lead singer), screams pretty much all of the lyrics, but then again in songs like "Wait and Bleed" you hear his real voice. Also, don't think that they are only trying to be twisted and scary by wearing their masks, at first they didn't want anybody to know their real identities, but after a few years, their fans have been able to figure out what they really look like. It's pretty much only a gimmick, a rather freaky one, but still a gimmick. So don't be discouraged by their looks, and listen to their music.
 
Also, if you're a fan of Slipknot, please explain why you like them so that non-fans might get a little interested.
I myself really love 'em for their music, lyrics, and for Correy's voice when he's actually singing.

Other than Spit it Out, they've made no other good songs, its all play anything on the guitar and pathic drums...
 
How can u call it pathetic drums, the drummer is awesome, and the two percussionists make the beat faster and more hardcore. It was the drums that interested me in the first place.
 
fermy,i myself am a slitknot fan,and kids at school think im weird cause im the only one thats has pictures of guys with masks on my binder :reallyodd
 
i know what you mean Dess. like 90% of the people in our grade are into rap, the other 10% (including me) like rock and hard rock. Just cuz i dont prefer rap doesnt make me weird, oh well...
 
slipknot are great, and me and slip2rock were at the uk Ozzfest last year where they played and it was great, even the kids like them over here. I think we are quite lucky over here as there is quite a following for rock/ hard rock/ metal. :rock on:

Never heard of them. There are some songs I like but dont know what groups sing them, but I usually try to catch the name of it. But again, I am not familiar with them. I prefer "Adema"

I have to agree. I can't stand them.

And Rap isn't music anyhow.
 
im not a super slipknot fan but they have some songs that i like and i think their drummer rock
 
Slipknot, the only band that takes 9 people to suck.

I kinda prefer music where people sing instead of scream out strings of profanities about hating everything.
And even if you were to ignore the vocals (How could you do that?) You can't even tell the guitar from the bass from the drums, it's all just blended together into one loud, annoying, crap noise
 
Slipknot doesn't only sing about hate. They just aren't like ur other bands who only sing about love and dates.
 
I agree with Klos. I think they're one of the worst bands out there. And they're ugly.

now that we're on the topic of unusually large bands with masks, does anybody like Mushroom Head?

Mushroom Head, it's like Slipknot with all that unnecessary Slipknot :D
 
i love mushroomhead and slipknot....
just remember; different strokes for different folks!
you might hate it, but to some it is the best music ever made
 
To each his own, I guess...I'd prefer a good Sublime song over it any day of the week
