Sorry for the late entry.
Was my first time driving this kit car.
I had a blast!
@Tyler Uhlenbe welcome man to GTPlanet and to our Honor SLRE league!
RESULTS RALLY 1:
RALLY 2: WALES
CAR: ESCORT RS CORSWORTH - CLASS A8
SHAKEDOWN: SWEET LAMB
END DATE/DEADLINE: 15-JUNE-2020 23:59PM GMT
I'm going to have to cancel my participation in this, too much on at work and home right now for me to give this any focus.
So sad to see this man but I respect it. Good luck with everything.
I practiced with this car at pikes peak for a couple days before attempting this. Never drove a awd car in this game before. My set up right now is a g920 with modded peddles and sequential shifter. Xbox1s. 32” aoc 1080p 120hz
Almost wrecked a couple times but made it through clean
At the beginning of stage two I find out that my steering was damaged. It was 45 degrees to the left while goin straight.
My power cut off due to a storm in the beginning of this stage (like two turns in). Hence the loading screen in the video right after stage four. Good thing this game saved my spot.
Sorry for all the pauses. I can only record five mins at a time.
So I wanted to do the rally on 12/06, and started, but then the electricity went out (yes 3rd world country here), and never came back that night. Luckily I was just at stage 2. So I resumed tonight, but the 1st recording got corrupted so I couldn't recover 1st stage time (can be easily calculated though).

Luckily no power cuts for me..
Stage 1: Jesus it feels fast & narrow, no room errors ! Had some grass tracking moments !
Stage 2: Awesome fun, no mistakes
Stage 3: Had a spin & an overshoot.
Stage 4: Horrible, struggled to see, slowed down just to get through with no damage, do the headlights work in this game...
Stage 5: Scary fast, got through with a bit of grass tracking again & no damage ready for the power stage..
Stage 6: Overconfident now, tried too hard, two overshoots & one spin.
I really enjoyed this Rally & having never driven the Escort before I kinda fell in love with it, its really nice to drive & makes all the right noises..
I was also pleased with myself for getting through the entire Rally without having to carry damage after the service breaks.
I wonder whats next ?

Lovely stuff mate, right?! I've never driven that car btw also but I dunno it felt right for wales.
I have no idea what's next
I'm open for ideas really. Maybe an asphalt rally now but not sure which car
We're sticking to just the rent-able cars right? If so one of the RWDs at Alsace seems appropriate. If not the Xsara Kit Car is lighting quick one the tarmac stages.
Yeah why not! I'll pick one of those!
Still waiting your stages times to post the updated championship standings and move on to the next rally!
Updated the post with times and screenshots, video won't be up until late tonight so I won't make you wait.
Results after Rally 2:
RALLY 3: ALSACE; When a French Car meets a French Track
CAR: RENAULT 5 MAXI TURBO - CLASS B
SHAKEDOWN: STAGE 3: Vosges Pays D'ormont 4742m

Oh no, I predict this is going to be my worse rally ! I remember always having almighty crashes on these slippery roads
As for the Escort, British car, British round ? It did feel good
Even though I’m in last I’m still having fun with this. Hopefully I won’t crash this time around.
Happy to see this get going again. Sad to see so few people. Good job @Georgeagea
I shouldn't worry mate, it looks like we all last compared to @Drex124 times
Why aren't you playing Sir ?
Because I'm now one of those #NoVrNoBuy kind of guys .
As much as I like SLRE, and can run it smoothly on my PC, the lack of VR keeps me away.
Well I suggest you climb down off your high horse and get stuck in !!!
What VR headset are you using and what games are you playing ?
I use a Rift S. I took a three month sabbatical from gaming and just came back a week ago. Due to time constraints (and lack of will) I am sticking with the CMS ACC league and an Argentine RBR league.
I actually grew to like this car a lot.
I was doin so well till the middle of stage 5. went just a wee to fast around a mellow left hander
Wrecked again then lost all hope of a good time. I can tell I’m getting better!
My rally video is up. Sorry for the low quality but had to downsize it in order to be able to upload it.
First 5 minutes is shakedown.
Rally goes well till stage 6 where it hangs... (check minutes 32 to 36 of the video). Didn't load so I had to reboot the game and did the stage 6 all alone. Sorry for that but there was no way I would rerun the whole rally again.
It was going acceptable driving wise until the last couple of stages where I lost concentration and did lots of mistakes...
Stage 2: 05:12.301
Stage 3: 02:39.105
Stage 4: 02:36.789
Stage 5: 05:53.641 / 22:10.062
Stage SS 6: 05:21.166
Well against all odds I feel I did really well, I remember pulling my hair out with this round before.
So many times I brushed with danger, hitting the logs at the side of the road but luckily they were only glancing blows so I just about got away with it.
Stage 5 was my worse, went off three times, once into spectators in a hairpin, but, luckily apart from killing all of them I managed to hit nothing else during my off-road moments !!!
This was another car Id never driven before but I once I figured out how to drive it, ie keep it in a straight line during accelerating/braking, be very respectful of the throttle I ended up really liking the little rocket. You can really feel it surging forward on boost.
Also I forgot how nice SLRE`s tarmac feels I know its been said before but, what a great game
I'm skipping this one. The car is absolutely hateful to drive on the wet stuff, vague as a boat and it just does not want to go in a straight line. Sorry folks.
I was one of the folks pleading to revive this, then stayed silent through the first few rounds. I have a reasonable excuse: a back injury laid me up in bed. Sitting was a no go, and lugging my heavy rig into the living room was a definite no. But I'm back!
I'm happy to join in round 3, if that's acceptable. I might run the other 2 rounds for personal enjoyment. I was never here to win, just for the camaraderie.
Can I join late?
