The why could be any number of things, most of which are completely outside the control of the individual. The method for fixing it for the sake of keeping the night moving is in the SNAIL OLR P&G. You shouldn't be spending a ton of time on it and you should be tearing rooms down and starting over with a new host.

Special Instructions for invisible drivers or glitch race starts.

1. In the event that all drivers are not able to see all other drivers on track the host should ask that all affected drivers leave the room and reenter. If this does not fix the issue any driver that can not be seen by everyone else in the room should be asked to leave the room for the night. Example: Driver A can not see Driver B. The rest of the room can see Driver B but not Driver A. Both drivers should leave the room and reenter. Upon reentering, the problem is the same. Driver A should leave for the night as the rest of the room can't see them. Driver B can stay because the only person that couldn't see them was Driver A. In the event that drivers have left and reentered the room and everyone in the room can see both / all affected drivers but the affected drivers can't see each other, the driver who is highest on the priority list gets to stay and the other affected driver(s) should be asked to leave for the night.

As unpleasant as it is to ask someone to leave the room, we just have to take the emotion out of the decision and apply the rule.

I don't know if there are IT Techs that could help @Ness and @chuyler1 to do some troubleshooting to see if they have any kind of weird settings on their routers or games or PS3 privacy settings. Maybe they should add each other to their friends list and see if that will help. The last thing will be to move one of them out to another division, but that would not be fair to that division. Both of you are solid D1 material in the current situation.

I was going to originally post in this thread about it, but I thought it would get more exposure in the main thread in hopes someone had a solution.

It would be very disappointing if we had to tell someone they aren't allowed to race Sunday because of these issues. I'll try searching google/gtplanet and see if I can find any info. But good advice red, maybe ness and chuyler can spend some time together trying to fix it.

What issues were you having? Invisible drivers? Usually running the room in fixed host mode fixes that issue. I'm approved for it, so if you host you should talk to @JLBowler about getting approved.

Fixed host usually fixes it but recently I ran across an instance where I was the fixed host and could not see one driver or any driver that came in after him. That driver left the room and I could instantly see everyone else that had come in after that driver. Sometimes it's just one strange connection that messes up the entire situation.

I might be miss R1, trying to get home asap

Edit: I'm home. Who's hosting? We had issues last time I was host

Just ran some practice laps on the 3 combos. Nice suggestion with the Opera S2000 at GVS East @Nicktune. Perfect car for that track. And like I told @SAMHAIN85 on track earlier, the Jay Leno Oldsmobile Toronado is a fun challenge at Indy Road. You don't want to floor it coming out of most turns. Easing onto the throttle is the way to go for faster laps and to not kill your tires. I think you should be able to finish the race with 7's or better for your tires.

And FYI, I do plan to host this Sunday.

I will not be racing on Sunday. I will be at home, but I won't be in a position to race. The reason will be "toooo much information", so don't even ask :embarrassed:
