Welcome to the May 2026 SNAIL Division 2 thread!

If you would like to volunteer for any roles please post in this thread and your name will be added to the role in question.

Snail is run by it’s members and D2 has many new members who may not realize this, so doing a job on race night makes it better for everyone involved. Volunteer for a role and then if needs be you can do it race night.

@ZoomZoomMf @racingchamp30 @Mac1032763 @arethosetacos @CdnSweetTee @JLBowler @Crunchy Taco @JakeMk8 @Skills @radliffracing @musty_Goose29 @Apomorphine @DriftstarE @TexHill @OmarGRacing @Soulierxdro

Easiest: Texter. Post messages in the lobby to randoms who should be encouraged to join Snail and asked to leave the lobby. It’s a cut and paste thing.
Easy: Replay Uploader. Save and share the replays according to Snail’s format for searching.
Involved: Host, Scorekeeper, Data Specialist.

Thanks! Good luck, racers !

Division Manager: @CANOWORMS1

Host: @racingchamp30
Backup Host

Here's why we need some back up of duties. See the main thread. I may not make racing tonight, meaning someone (@Crunchy Taco @Mac1032763 etc.) who has access to the Sunday Score sheets needs to enter scores.

Worst case scenario is I enter the lobby and get Results at the end of each race. Would I have to enter the race, or would just being in the lobby allow me to access Replays and Results?

You may need to "spectate" each race. Not certain though.

Last night was a shock to me, my wheel would disconnect constantly making it impossible for me to race. I hope to get this resolved shortly. But, in the month of June I'm gone for the whole month. We (D2) will need somebody to do scores each night for the whole season. I'm hoping @Crunchy Taco can help with this, but a backup person would be a good idea. I'm not sure of the consequences if scores aren't done.

First off thank you but it is you Canoworms that need the kudos. I have no idea how you are able to enter the data live. I was so overwhelmed. For me taking a screen shot of the starting grid, of the podium, then entering the data using that and the replays after the races is how I think I would do it in the future. I am more than glad to fill in for part of the month of June, but I will be gone from the 9th to the 21st for our families' dune trip to St Anthony's Dune in ID. So I will miss a portion of the season myself, so as backup will be needed. Sorry.

If you want to get the scores (and data) after all racing is complete, the simplest way to do it is, after each race is over and you've returned to the lobby screen click the results button and get a screenshot of that. If there are more than 8 drivers you will need to screenshot both pages of results. All the scoring and data needed for both is on that screen. You will have no less than 6 and up to 12 screenshots to deal with.

Also of note, please do not alter the structure of the score sheet, i.e. adding/deleting rows or columns. If the cell has grey back ground fill, do not enter any data in those cells. Everything with gray fill is populated by script or formula.

Hello guys, new driver here. Nice to meet you all.
I have a question regarding the driver's list. What does "AW/PS" mean?
Can't wait to see you guys on track this sunday, I'll be watching you from the back of the pack

I believe it means the following:

(NEP#) = Drivers with a number after the NEP designation are not eligible to win prizes until they race that number of weeks. These drivers have this designation because they failed to respond to prize winner notifications and forfeited their prize. Same rules apply here as for penalty

I suggest at the very least you add the following to your PSN friends list:
@racingchamp30 / @CANOWORMS1 / @Crunchy Taco
It'll make finding the official lobbies easier.

I’ll step aside now as @radliffracing has slapped my hand before for lurking in the D2 tread.

AW/PS is short for Available Weeks Per Season. That value is used to help determine Full time / Part time status for new drivers. In your case you have 2 weeks to attend to maintain Full time status for this season/month. If you only attend 1 of those 2 weeks you will be changed to part time status.

Understood. Thanks!

And a big D2 welcome to you. Looking forward to seeing you tonight. It'll be fun. And it can't be any worse than my inauspicious start where I messed up T1 at Spa and took out about 3 cars. I'm better at paying attention to braking points now. 😀

Here's an update on scores/data: I will be missing racing on June 7, 14, 21, 28 and the backup (@Crunchy Taco) is away June 14 and 21. That leaves D2 without a scorer for at least 2 weeks and no data person for 4 weeks. I'm making another plea for someone willing and/or able to help out. Snail is operated by its members and there aren't that many of us. It's time to pay it forward.

And that was my debut in online racing. You guys are FAST! Last race I wasted 6 seconds to lose the position and finish last hahaha.
But, I loved racing with you guys!
Thank you!
MY first night I timed out in last place 3 times. After about 6 months of practicing and watching video of the races, especially spec practice with the A and B drivers in this league. I am finally making podiums and winning d2 races. IT will come just have fun. Soulie and I had a great race for 3 and 4th (I think) that lasted about 4 laps, that was about the most fun I have had in the last month of simracing! So just enjoy the night free of pressure.

If you guys still need it, I can be the back up of the back up. Just show me the ropes and hopefully I wont make the league implode to oblivion lol j/k but yeah, I like doing lists and stuff, if I get the training I'll be happy to help out any way I can.

Scoring for Sunday night racing is filling in a spreadsheet that the BoD generates each week. It looks like this:
1779145706007.webp

This screen shot is of the data sheet filled in, what you will see will be blank. On race night what needs to be entered is: Total Time, Finish positions, and Best Lap. When I do scores I save a replay and take a photo of the Results screen. Only enter data in the "white" boxes and don't try to change anything. The "Data" tab at the top allows you to sort the sheet. I find this handy.

Send a request for access to the score sheets to @Dragonwhisky

I thank you for your willingness to help out.
Happy to lend a hand whenever and however I can.
I might not be good at racing, but maybe there's other talents of mine we can put to good use lol
YouTube, streaming, video editing, picture editing, social media, discord...whatever it is I can do I'll gladly do it, outside of working hours I have no friends or social life so I pretty much have all the time in the world.

Hello guys!
I present to you my first draft for the D2 Bacelona round 1 race.

Took me a while, but after a lot of experimenting, recording, editing, snip-snap snip-snap, I found the pefrect and most efficient way to handle the replays.
Sorry if I gave myself too much screen time at the beginning, but that 2 lap battle I had with @CANOWORMS1 was very good, until it wasn't and he drove away into the distance

Also, half of lap 4 vanished lol but you probably wouldn't have noticed unless you were paying close attention to the lap counter since the transition was so smooth, if I may say so myself.

Also, I had a super hard time at the end when trying to add text screens and transitions, so that the end of the video would look cooler and more professional, and decided not to use any since I don't know what I did that made the software freeze lol...I'm still getting familiar with DaVinci Resolve 20 and hopefully the next video will be better. I thought about using memes or funny captions, but also decided not to, so it would look more serious and professional.

I hope you enjoy it, I look forward to hearing -well, reading- your opinions and also take this as my application for the position (if it exists) of content creator or video editor or whatever...video editing is a huge passion of mine and maybe this is somewhere I can shine within the league.

Ooooh, it just occured to me that it would be awesome if we could get someone to narrate/commentate the action on the video to um, officially release it (not me tho, my voice is awful AF)...that would be dope.

Nice job on the streams! I just watched them. It would be cool if we could have commentary! It would be even better if we could get AI to replicate Martin Brundle's or Jackie Stewart's (from F1) voice.

Haha yeah, that's actually a great idea! Let me look into that!
