Welcome to the November 2017 Season, our first Season in GT Sport. Welcome to the new SNAILS, welcome back to the vintage SNAILS and welcome to the hardliners who stuck it out with GT6!

We have a few positions to fill, so please jump in. If you want to take one of the jobs already filled, then put your name up as back-up, or state that you would like to do it and we'll give you the opportunity (e.g. I will be happy to let someone else do the scorekeeping). In this division we want to make it fun for everyone, so we will race clean and respect each other. If I look at the list, I'm happy to have each one of you in the group.

I have a pretty reliable 100/100 connection in case you need a host.

I may be able to do the replay thingy but I don't have much GTS seat time so not sure of the process.

You're fast enough - don't worry

We don't know if there is way to download it. It looks like you save it on the GT Sport cloud and then share to all. The naming convention in the first tag button is important so we can search for it. The name of the file (which is optional) should be the room name


e.g. for Division 2 Round 1 Race 2: Tag#1: 20171029d2r1r2 to indicate the date, division, round and race (The Tag# doesn't allow spaces, capitals or special characters)

Comment can be: October 29, 2017

I this way, anyone, including Stewards can view replays.

We still need to finalize this, but I'll have a look in a while and see how it works and post a screenshot or something in the main thread.

So I will be running #22 in Turquoise.

What time will the room open? And what time does qualifying start? Trying to figure out when I should budget time to run some practice laps.
 
If we want to start on time people need to be there early. If everyone is there 15 min early we can count heads and be ready and work out disconnect issues before 9:30 and start the race on time.

This "texter" job,.. it might make sense for this to be rolled into the Division Manager job. Have DM, scorekeeper and host in a chat. The DM relays the message of score and host, keeping the night on schedule. Everyone seems to look to the DM when direction on rulings is needed, so he/she is probably going to be called on to text at times anyway.

I'll be racing tonight... I'll save replays and can back up any position that needs it week to week. Just can't do scores on the fly.

I havent done a lot of online racing in the past so Ill do my best to stay clean with you guys. I asked this in the join conversation, but brake bias adjustment in-game is prohibited, right? Just like TCS?

There are a lot of us that are racing with no TUNING whatsoever because that's what snail has always been on Sunday nights. That being said , with no way of of monitoring or preventing tuning I'm sure there are some people that are fully tuning their cars.
 
Is there no way to identify someone who's tuning their car, prior to the race start? Also if anyone is caught deliberately breaking the rules, there has to be some sort of consequences to encourage cheaters not to cheat! I assume because everyone knows the rules, they will follow them, but that's obviously a delusional thought. Personally I'm here for the clean racing, and desire to improve my skills as a sim driver, so in the end it doesn't affect my goals a whole lot, but if people are breaking the rules we need to find a way to prevent that, until GTS puts systems into the game to support our needs. (just my long winded opinion, Lol).
 
Thanks! I hope that's not the case, like rednose pointed out yesterday it's probably a temporary benefit that'll bite you later if they do have an update which locks it. I particularly asked about brake bias just because it has an on-the-fly adjustment in race and I didn't see it mentioned specifically in section 3.1, but it seemed to fall under the catch-all. I left it at zero accordingly.

Also being ultra new at this, I know there were 3 moments in particular (2 were semi-connected in quali, 1 in race) when a gaff on my part negatively affected one of you guys, I apologize for that. I am fine if any of you want to DM me to talk about those or anything else I may have done unknowingly, I'm here to learn. I felt like outside of those, everything went well.... aside from just being slow :boggled: haha
 
On gt6 brake bias was still an issues as even with tuning prohibited selected the bias could be switched and not really detectable. I do agree that ones tuning will eventually be bit because I do think that tuning prohibited races will happen eventually in gt sport.
 
So I saved the replays. What do I need to do to complete my "replay" guy tasks?

I may grab some pics in the next couple of days as well. There was some pretty good and close racing last night.
 
I had a blast last night.There were a few hiccups and a few incidents,that was to be expected being that we are all new to this platform,some more than others.Welcome to all you new SNAILS,I hope that last night was a blast for you all as well.Keep coming back,it will get better,some of our fast guys are finding this new platform a bit challenging,but they will rise to the occasion! IMHO,PD needs to get this qually thing settled quick!I really didn't like trying to qualify with others on track,blew my focus! @USERID_77a23 ,what happened to you last night Buddy? Every time I saw you ,you were spinning,except that little FRS!lol.
