I know this is a bit late but it's been quite a busy week and quite lucky and pleased that there is no official sunday night race as I haven't touched the leather on my steering wheel once this week. For those taking part in the Endurance race tonight I wish you luck. wish there was a live stream 'hint hint' . On that note here is last week's images and a slideshow.

Hello D4 racers. Hope everyone had a nice holiday and is ready to get back to some racing👍

But we have a dilemma. On August 30th @JLBowler asked for people to post their Speedtest/Pingtest so we can figure out who would be best to run as fixed host.

It is now September 10th, 72 hours before the races resume, and there is only one person that posted their test results, me.

So, if we don't get some test results soon, I will be taking over hosting duties. I have run fixed host with no connection issues. The sad thing is that I don't want to host but for the good of Snail and my division I will.

@WIDEeyedDRIVR I'm not taking anything away from you so please don't take offense. You do a great job hosting but there is connection issues that we need to sort out so everyone in the division has a fun race night. You disconnected as the host in the last round and I'm a little leery so prove me wrong and post your Speedtest/Pingtest.
I'd be willing to give you a chance to run fixed host if we all deem your test results are positive.

It doesn't involve anyone having to do anything differently and it was sent to me in a private message. If the guy that sent me the information wants it to be public, he can make it public.

No secret... it's a known issue that JLBowler's connection and my connection don't jive. For some weird reason my connection is effecting his connection causing difficulties for him on track.

This week I upgraded my connection and got a new super fast modem which I was hoping will resolve the issue. Unfortunately that didn't work so well. My new super modem is not compatible with PS3 and I'm currently going back and forward with my internet provider to get it resolved.

Sad news is I will most likely not race tomorrow as I'm running out of time getting it resolved. You will need a Scorekeeper for tomorrow night.

Try an internet search for your modem's model number and PS3 compatibility. When I got a new modem from my provider a few years ago, it wouldn't give me anything but Nat type 3. My provider was zero help. I found a forum online by searching that had instructions for how to set it up.

Frustrating to say the least. I'll do some research tonight. The NAT type is 2 and the bandwidth is "Very High" when I enter into the room. I'm able to get on track but usually gets disconnected on the first lap. I tried wired and wireless connections with same results

Maybe look at how to open certain ports or open up a DMZ. Not something I've had to do so not sure how to do it. I think @Rallywagon has a grasp on these type of things.

I do have a touch a touch of knowledge, however, it is strange that you can connect, but only for a few before getting dumped.
Anyway, need to know a few things to help. What is your ISP and connection style, cable or DSL? What brand/model modem do you have? Is it its own router? Are you connected to that directly or through another router, if so what brand? We will start there.
Major, I am not sure your computer literacy level, some of this may get involved, but I'll do my best to break it down Barney style for ya if need be, sir.

Sorry I just saw this. My computer will not connect to the inter web. I will try a last ditch effort to see if the lap top can do this. I will post in a bit the out come.

thanks birdie, I saw that in the googles doc for d4 data but was wondering if you had the quali's for each driver? I hope I am not asking too much . it could be just for any round except midfield as I did video for that last week. Really appreciate it if you can , if not then no worries as I

I was able to fix the gas pedal and I found out while I was at the icu with my oldest, my youngest changed my wheel settings to professional and disabled the power assist. Lol. Be ready for me next week.
