Welcome to Division 5 Season season of SNAIL racing in Gran Turismo Sport. We need to fill all of the below positions prior to race time today. Please post in this thread if you are interested.

Division Manager - @Tecticles
Back-Up Division Manager - @
Assists with all facets of the division, including organizing the race night duties.

2nd Backup Host - @
Opens and manages the lobby, including qualifying and race start times.

Live scoring, updating the score sheet after each race.

**ATTENTION ALL DUTY HOLDERS**

Anyone tasked with the above jobs must be present in the Party Chat throughout the night for ease and convenience of communication. Be sure that we are all linked by friends list before the start of race night.
Everyone else will get their info from the text box.

That is of course, if we have more than 8 show up.

I would be able to back up host as im hardlined and should have the bandwidth available. Also share the replay seems easy enough ha.

We normally start at 9:30 ET. We are starting an hour early tonight due to scheduled maintenance.
 
TCS and driving line will be on as usual for D5 so no one has to ask. Just remember try not to rely on them as this is the only division you will get those driving aids. If you use cones for markers, don't forget for those who can see cones, they can lift your car if you drive over them.
 
Replay Save and Uploading Process
Immediately after a race, save it to the GT Sport cloud and then share to all. The naming convention in the first tag button is important so we can search for it. The name of the file (which is optional) should be the room name


Example: For Division 5 Round 1 Race 2 or would be:
Tag#1: 20171126D5R1R2 to indicate the date, division, round and race (The Tag# doesn't allow spaces, capitals or special characters)

The Name: SNAILRACING.ORG D5R1R2
Comment can be: November 26, 2017

Once you are in the race room if we have 8 or less show up we will all be in a chat normally reserved for the people with duties. If we do have more than 8 only the drivers with duties will be in the room and the texter will communicate with everyone with ingame text.
 
Apologies for lateness last night... I was completely offline all day and didn't know about the time change. I wondered how y'all got a round in so quickly, since I was only a couple minutes late. :)

Also, I can volunteer for backup for either replay uploader or texter. I'd prefer not to be primary until I get my work schedule nailed down at the end of the year.
 
Great racing last night everyone as for a first experience im sold had a blast! Also do apologize for the delays between rounds if i host again i will be better prepared
 
Ok regarding players who can't see each other. The way it ended up for us was ultimately the correct way for the problem to be handled. I'm not sure what else we can do if the same problem arises again. Other than the usual connection stuff, hard wire your ps4 to the internet may be the easiest solution, make sure you have deleted temporary internet stuffs before you try to enter, etc.
 
So if u can't see someone again. It seems like it's always between pub and I. Who leaves next time if it happens?
I don't mind leaving again if pub placed well in the first combo

If the the issue is only between two drivers the driver lower on the priority list must leave, the priority list is the drivers list in the drivers list thread. @CoachMK21 is a ninja.

For those unaware, or who may have missed it in the main thread. Find jlbowlers post about resubmitting a TT since the physics change. If you have done one since Monday no worries but if yours was done previously I think you need to re-submit.

Took me forever to find it... general consensus of Snail seems to be that we all remember every post so no one ever needs to cover something again. Just a heads up, I'm out for one weekend, maybe two... Boat, islands, umbrella drinks, no interwebs or PS4. Leaving this Friday, due back Sunday the 17th. If traffic and everything works out wonderfully on the way home, I might make it in time for that night's race... If I don't have to wait for a massive update to download. But, I'll be cold and unpracticed if I manage it. Just wanted to let you all know that I didn't disappear, I just won't be available. Have fun!
 
Also giving a heads up, I'm in the Atlanta area and normally 3 inches of snow paralyzes this area. Today we're at 6 inches and still more to come. There is a pretty good chance I will lose power so if I haven't posted here Sunday afternoon will need someone else to run D5.
