Appreciate the words! Practice it is then. It's funny, as I'm driving, I can picture myself correcting if I could feel the tires slides, but it's all visual. Definitely an adjustment.

On the bright side, we get to race those super fun AWD Subies twice! I'm biased though, I own a WRX lol.
Lol if you couldnt tell by my livery last week I still struggle with n class

I wasn't able to participate last week, so missed it. Got a picture handy? I'm curious now.

I'm excited for that race as well. WRX is my dream car and Monza's my favorite track.

So, after last night, I realized how terrible I am with zero traction control. Couldn't drive the Supra to save my life. Any tips for Sunday? I was in dead last, but also think there were higher divisions with me. I'm considering reducing the 900 degree turning of my G29, as I really only use 360 degrees at most when racing.

Lastly, I understand the texting a bit more but need to learn how to quickly post text. I tried using a mic but couldn't hear anyone. Does GT Sport support microphones? I still need to learn how the replay stuff works too.
I'm still not fast but one thing that really helped me was watching others. I found out there were times I was going into 2nd gear where others were using 3rd and times I felt like 3rd was good but 4th was better. This car has weird torque and shifting it right makes a huge difference in both grip and pace.

Welcome to SNAIL! The first race is always a little confusing on how SNAIL operates and one thing i like to do is give the new comers a heads up on the procedures we all go by on race night.

1. when you enter the room make sure you have the correct car for the track and proceed to the end of turn one then line up single file for qualifying. hot lapping is not allowed!
2. when qualifying starts we give the driver infront of us a 5 second headstart no one should be able to catch the driver infront of them. if a driver does catch you we all ask you dont hold them up please get off the race line let them pass and continue on once they are clear of your car
3. qualifying consist of 1 out lap and 1 qualifying lap once you finish the hot lap pull over with the rest of the group
4. if at any point in quailifying you go off track do not complete the lap please stay off the race line and pull over to the side your qualifying session is over at that point (weve all ran off a time or two
5. at the end of the night when the scorekeeper or I ask for votes please pick a combo you would like to vote off it must be a combo you raced for the vote to count.
6. if there is any questions feel free to ask theres a few of us who have raced SNAIL for a while im sure someone can help out with any questions

Welcome guys. remember to practice, race with respect to fellow drivers and race clean!

We had some good hard racing last night. Everyone makes mistakes, no one is perfect. Just remember that if you run off track, it is your responsibility to re-enter in a safe fashion that does not impede other drivers. The more you practice and race with the drivers in this division, the more familiar we all get with each others driving style.
My first 2-3 months I was extra cautious at all times. Wins and podiums will come...we have all been where our new recruits are at some point in our Snail career.

I barely had a chance to practice at all last week, but I will not let my over-confidence get into my head.

I just wanted to give you guys a heads up, this is gonna be my last season for a while managing and im probably gonna go part time see if snail becomes more fun for me again instead of a job. Balancing family, my job, my own arl league and snail I think I took on more than a full plate lol and lately I feel like I'm just not having as much fun as I should. Im trying to give everyone enough notice to get everything in order to hand off for the April season and if anyone needs any help with duties, any questions or needs access feel free to ask me. Thank you guys I hope everyone understand and thank you @Nick Cannella for all the help for the past 7-8 months together we did everything we could to help snail grow.

No one likes a quitter :)

Hello old friends and new blood. Sorry to see you taking a step back Texas, but there are a lot of things more important than pixel races so please take care of those. You and Nick both came in got your feet wet and took on anything that needed to be handled to make every Sunday you were involved with a success. Good luck going forward.

Thanks @Tecticles appreciate the kind words. Looks like I’m on my own next month. I will most likely take over division manager. Need some of our newer D5 members to step up so it’s not all on me and @Bud__Greene, who most likely will be getting promoted soon.

Spent the last 2 weeks on the road, we did 5600 miles ish. Will be a while til I'm back full time, driving OTR just wont afford me the practice time to be clean enough or competitive. I may get a ps4 once I have a truck assigned to me after my training is done, but I doubt I could have a connection stable enough to race.

I have no doubt there are some guys who are new that will get bitten by the bug and will step up. SNAIL isn't for everyone, we all know that, but those that stay and want to see it succeed I am certain they would be glad to fill the roles needed. On that note if you would like to help but aren't sure what the duties entail or how to go about them just ask. Anyone who does know would be happy to walk you through in detail.

Subies are awesome. No WRX here but we own an Outback. One of the best cars we’ve ever owned. And it can go almost anywhere
I actually hope you and I get a rematch in the Honda we used in Race 2 tonight. I felt that race was a tie.

Division 5 drivers:
I want to take a proactive approach to the April season in regards to duties and who will be able to fulfill them. With @TexasJDC moving to part time next season (April) it is now time for some of our other D5 drivers to step up and become more involved.
I have posted the current breakdown of duties (as it relates to this season, March) and you will notice that Tex and I have the majority of tasks. I should also give a shout out to @Bud__Greene, who has been our scorekeeper for the last few seasons. I hope he will continue to commit to doing that in the future, provided he is around in D5!
Regarding the April season, I am more than ready to take on Division manager role and will commit to doing that moving forward. I will also retain the task of doing data, and back up scorekeeper. With that being said, I now need you guys to start thinking of the roles (and backup roles) that you would like to take on come April.

We will need the following roles filled:
1. Host
2. Back up Host
3. Replay Uploader
4. Back up Replay Uploader
5. Back up Data Specialist
6. Texter
7. Back up Texter.

***There is no need to speak up now or volunteer, lets save that for the April thread, however, I need you guys to start thinking of the roles that you could help support next month. I thank you all in advance.

I can do replay upload, including this week. For Host, data, scorekeeper, I need some offline talk to make sure I understand it please. Texting doesnt seem too bad/difficult. Im sure I can take at least 2 and be a backup for another though without issue.

@Nick Cannella would you have time this week/next to teach me scorekeeping and data? I'll review OLR for hosting info again.
