Event #2 / Race #1 Recap
250718 - Spotter Guide Event #2 png.png

Preamble:

The cars and equipment have been flown to the south of France for the two-event, European leg of the season. We return to Sainte-Croix for the first time since the 2023 Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge. And also for the first time, the demand merits that our new Pre-Qualifying procedure go into effect.

Pre-Qualifying:
The top twelve in points are automatically qualified to participate in Event #2. Anybody above and beyond that is asked to participate in a Pre-Qualifying session that was monitored by @Bologna_Duc.
250718 - Pre-Quali.jpeg

The session contained 5 drivers battling for 4 available spots. @radliffracing ended up posting the fastest time with a 2:14.333. Only 0.126 seconds separated him from @Noob01_lmdead who claimed the 4th and final available position.

Unfortunately, this meant an early evening for series' regular @Kgffy. He came up short and was certainly missed for the rest of the night.

Moving onto the main event of the evening, the changes to the grid from Event #1 are as follows:
Qualifying Table:
250718 - Qualifying Table 1.jpeg

250718 - Qualifying Table 2.jpeg

I flirted with pole for a few minutes but I knew @The_Antman_ hadn't yet put in a time that I knew he was capable of. Then @CdnSweetTee and @DublDee posted very fast times towards the end of the session. What I didn't expect, (and no offence to him) was a superfast lap put down by @radliffracing, also near the session's end. He improves from on his Pre-Qualifying time by well over a full second.

The grid is set. @The_Antman_ next to @radliffracing on the front row. The wife / husband duo of @CdnSweetTee and @DublDee in the 2nd row. @DRD_Niagara has the pleasure of lining up next to @socalnatv in the 3rd row.

Event #2 / Race #1

LAP #1:
"Messieurs, les moteurs, s'il vous plait" as they say at the onset of the 24hr du Mans. It's a short sprint to Turn 1.
SHARE_20250720_0557300.jpeg

LAP #1:
Turn 1 was a little hairy towards the mid-grid. It seems @Phlano099 slightly unsettled @llNovall car which had him briefly sideways. In true Snail fashion, he'd wait for him to straighten out before they get back to the action. They would drop from positions 10 & 11 to positions 15 & 16.
SHARE_20250720_0557590.jpeg

LAP #1 - Lead Change
A little bit of a deep Turn 1 by @The_Antman_, combined with a perfectly executed Turn 1 by @CdnSweetTee allows her to take the lead of the race.
SHARE_20250720_0558210.jpeg

LAP #1:
Still early in Lap #1, with cold tires, cars packed together and entering the technical part of sector 2, a few cars touched each other, and it appears @JDMKING13 was the unlucky one as he briefly spun and would drop from 10th to 16th.
SHARE_20250720_0558410.jpeg

LAP #2:
A little more space is created by Lap #2. @CdnSweetTee, @The_Antman_ and @radliffracing are running 1-2-3. @socalnatv leads a tight group from the 4th position that includes @DublDee, @Bologna_Duc, @Yugofan is pictured taking @DRD_Niagara's 7th position. Right behind them is @Noob01_lmdead in 9th.
SHARE_20250720_0558580.jpeg

LAP #4:
@DRD_Niagara was leading @Noob01_lmdead and @DublDee at Turn 1 when slight contact occurred between them that pushed @DublDee into the grass. His call for a yellow flag went unsupported.
SHARE_20250721_0650200.jpeg

LAP #4 - Lead Change:
A little further ahead, a few cars lifted upon being confused to a caution being partially called out but @socalnatv, understand quickly that the race is not under caution kept driving and made up a few spots. Early in Lap #4, he now leads the race.
SHARE_20250721_0650440.jpeg

LAP #6:
@socalnatv, @CdnSweetTee and @The_Antman_ are still running 1-2-3. @radliffracing, in 4th place seem to have lost the rear of his car coming out of sharp righthander of sector 4. He might also have repeated the same error later in the race. (I should fact-check this). @radliffracing does well to avoid a complete spin and only losses a couple positions, from 4th to 6th.
SHARE_20250721_0651090.jpeg

LAP #6:
Not too much daylight between the barrier and @radliffracing's car but he doesn't appear phased by it. He's more concerned with the pressure being applied by @Bologna_Duc. Just ahead, we can see @Worst_Driver, @Noob01_lmdead and @llNovall running 5-6-7.
SHARE_20250721_0651260.jpeg

LAP 10:
@socalnatv still leading the race, and just behind him, on the back straight of Lap #10, @The_Antman_ manages to get ahead of @CdnSweetTee and move into 2nd place.
SHARE_20250721_0659060.jpeg

LAP #11:
Before the season started, we had a lengthy conversation with some newer members about how to properly interpret the term "teammates" in this series. I'm not sure if it will help or add to that confusion but you're advised to watch the battle between @llNovall and @Noob01_lmdead that lasted several laps. "Teammate @Bologna_Duc" would also hop in for the last couple laps.
SHARE_20250721_0713150.jpeg

LAP #12:
A little further behind, in 12th and 13th place is @DublDee and @Phlano099 engaged with each other. Just ahead of them is @bublyman in 12th spot.
SHARE_20250721_0832380.jpeg

LAP #13:
@CdnSweetTee, @DRD_Niagara and @Worst_Driver have been running 3-4-5 for quite a long time now. Replay shows that my @CdnSweetTee and @DRD_Niagara's tires are pretty worn out and what was once a 4 second lead on @Worst_Driver is down to about 1.5 seconds. At Turn 1 of Lap #13, @DRD_Niagara managed to get ahead of @CdnSweetTee and move into 3rd.
SHARE_20250721_0820040.jpeg

LAP #14:
The season is short but Lap #13 between @llNovall, @Bologna_Duc and @Noob01_lmdead is an early candidate for battle of the season. And anybody that takes the time to view the reply will understand how loosely we use the term "Teammates".
SHARE_20250721_0820220.jpeg

LAP #14:
@socalnatv put in a pretty flawless drive to capture the chequered flag. He took the lead on Lap #4 and although wasn't able to completely drop cars chasing him, he ends up with a cushion of a little over 4 seconds. @The_Antman_ and @DRD_Niagara join him on the podium.
SHARE_20250721_0820370.jpeg

@CdnSweetTee's 1:13.141 edged out @Yugofan's 1:13.147 for the races Fastest Lap. But @Mac1032763's 1:13.149 and @The_Antman_'s 1:13.156 were all within striking distance.

Event #2 / Race #1 Broadcast:

Driver of the Race Award:
As I review the replay a few times to pull pictures and to record the broadcast, things stand out to me so I give a shout-out to the following drivers for their performance in Event #2 / Race #1:
  • I suppose I'll go with @socalnatv in this race. He led for 10 whole laps with 2 very high powered cars directly behind him trying to run him down. How does he hold them off? By being super consistent. 8 of his final 10 laps were in the 2:13's.
Honorable mention to yet again to @Worst_Driver who finishes 4th in this one while driving around in a car dialed down to 674 PP's. Furthermore, reply shows his Porsche only has 615 km's on its odometer at the conclusion of this race, meaning it's likely @Worst_Driver kept this car in the garage since Daytona.

Finally, @Yugofan's FL time of 2:13.147 on Lap #8 deserves some recognition. He has a little bit of a tow from @Bologna_Duc who spends most the lap about 2 seconds ahead of him but that's a fast lap for a car at 676 PP's.

Final Thoughts:
  • I usually end with a plug for Snail's Sunday League, I'll do it a little differently today. We had a lot of chatter in the 24 hours leading up to this race but a comment by @socalnatv deserves reinforcement. It was him crediting his participation for years and years in Snail's Sunday League as a racecraft development tool. So get your TT's submitted to earn your active driver cards. Participate as much or as little as you want, the benefit is to eligible to race with the group should you have a few extra hours to kill on a Sunday night.
  • I'll try to get the Race #2 recap out in next several days but it might be the weekend.
That's how I interpreted Event #2 / Race #1.

@DRD_Niagara

Great work on the recap!!! I always look forward to those.

You are also a great example of what happens when you spend so much time in the Sunday night spec league. I think back to the first practice sessions with you on track and I remember how cautious you were about getting in other people’s way. Between the spec series and the time you’ve spent in the Nova series’s, you’ve gotten a lot faster and your racecraft is top notch. Always fun turning laps in practice and I’m never nervous about getting into close battles with you.

Keep it up. 👍🏼

@llNovall
There’s a ton of time until the next event and your pre-event briefing so no rush on this at all. Last week was pretty busy as well.

In my memory there are 2 main areas where track boundaries get questioned at Nurb GP.

1) the exit of turn 4. I dont remember if this was treated like T5 at Road Atlanta where 4 wheels over the white line is acceptable? or strict oob after the rumble strip?

2) historically with your series it has been open season on the bollard at the chicane.

No rush. When you have time. Much appreciated.

@DRD_Niagara Amazing work on the race recap as usual. Great read ! I was surprised to be competitive on that track with my pp handicap but it turned out well. Fun race ! To add to @socalnatv comment, I agree your pace and confidence on track has vastly improved since you joined. Always a pleasure race with you !

As you mentioned, I did not practice that combo. Only 30 minutes prior to race night but I got the hang of it pretty quickly. How you might ask ? Well I knew that track pretty well due to the regular SNAIL series on sundays so it was just a matter of adjusting to the car. So yeah, the regular SNAIL series helps getting fast. Come join us on the other side, we don’t have cookies but we do have all sorts of weird cars like the Citroen BX.

Post Race Report and Scoring
Event #2 at Sainte Croix Layout B

Sainte Croix made it's first return to the schedule since the Porsche GT3 Supercup series a few seasons back. This venue ahs always delivered amazing battles and close times. Overall, the racing was close and intense across the field. Qualifying and fast laps were very close across most of the field, and are only expected to get closer. I had an amazing inter-team battle with Raul and Duc in Race 1 , and then battles with all my teammates in Race 2. Race 2 did not so well for me due to a mistake prior to the bridge that allowed 2-3 attackers an easy overtake, a risky dive down the back stretch, and then the sidstraction from the Mrs that finished me off. Not my best event, but some amazing racing and battles while it lasted. Too many other points to highlight, but take a look at the replays...always worth the watch.
Race broadcasts will eventually be available for viewing, but for now you can view the actual in-game replays through the search tag: snailpsc. Feel free to elaborate on any battle/exchanges you may have shared.
Despite a few early season incidents, overall it was a great night of racing.

Minimal lag/jittering was present across the field, but was overall manageable.

Now for Scoring:
Congratulations to Sand_68 / @socalnatv (#68) on the Overall Win. Great pace and lap consistency contributed to the strong result. Great work!!

Series main Spotters Guide and Driver Profile page has been updated in order of driver standings with award tags and overall podium placement acknowledgements.>>>Driver Profile Page and Spotters Guide Link

For any drivers that care to participate in displaying their Driver Standing for next event, please see the spoiler tab below for details. Please verify your current driver standing on the scoresheet provided, or by the driver profile page linked in this post. Please be sure to update your livery prior to each event. If in doubt, simply remove the numbers before the event. See the Spoiler tab below:
Driver Standings Recognition
Drivers will be encouraged, not required, to display their current driver standing going into each event after Event #1, though there will be a few rules and requirements.
Drivers who are interested in diplaying their current standing, should collect the following green digital numbers 0-9.
19298d4c15a5-screenshotUrl.jpg

After scoring is finalized and Post Race report issued, drivers will be cleared to edit their driver standing on their number board along with any award tags. Drivers should apply their Standing on both side's boards and be sure their number is in line with their actual standing in the Championship.
Should look like this:
19298d4a4df4-screenshotUrl.jpg

Rules and requirements:
To maintain accuracy and integrity to this recognition, drivers who choose to add their standing to their car will be required to submit an updated profile picture before each event with their scrutineering tuning sheet. Submissions will be reviewed post event just as I do for the driver regulations.
If a driver forgets to submit the car picture with a standing displayed or has the wrong standing placement displayed , it will result in a 5 point penalty against the overall event score. This has to be in place to ensure that those who want to display their standing, maintains the attention and accuracy for it to be credible.
If choosing to display, be sure your edited livery is correct, accurate, and saved prior to each event. If unsure or not interested in displaying your standing, simply leave it blank or just apply double zeros.
The profile pictures will not be used for the Driver profile page, only for scrutineering to maintain the integrity of this recognition.
Again, this is optional, but if done correctly, it will be a great way to know who is where in the standings as the season unfolds.

Event #3 Race Details
August 15th, 2025, 9pm est
Nurburgring GP

Late Morning, C01,
Cloudy and Bright

16 laps/Race

Below are the details for Event #3 at Nurburgring GP on Friday, August 15th, 2025.
Drivers are encouraged and reminded to confirm their attendance status as soon as possible to secure their spot on the grid for race night. Please see the updated Confimation and grid priority rules in the Spoiler tab below.
For the first event of this series, the top 12 drivers to confirm attending are guaranteed their grid spots for Event #1. Every event thereafter, the top 12 drivers in overall points standing will be afforded grid priority and first right of refusal for the next event. They simply need to confirm at any point up to 8pm est on the Thursday before our Friday race night to claim their grid priority. Drivers in the top 12 in standings that cannot make an event and confirm absent will forfiet their grid spot(s) to the additional confirmed drivers in the order in which they confirmed.

For the final four grid spots:
-If we have only 4 drivers confirmed/available by 8pm est on the Friday race night, those four drivers will simply procede to the race room at 9pm est to fill out the grid and the race night will proceed as normal.

-If we have more than 4 drivers confirmed/available by 8pm est on the Friday race night, those drivers will be required to run a formal Pre-Qualification session to establish the final 4 spots and remaining reserve priority for that night's event. (If confirmed drivers in this group choose to rescind their confirmation rather than attempt to qualify for the final 4 spots, and only 4 drivers remain, those 4 remaining drivers can procede to the race room at 9pm est as no run-off is then necessary).

-If the Pre-Qualification session does proceed and the final 4 drivers are established, any driver(s) that were present, posted a time for the Pre-Qualification session prior to an Event, and does not earn a spot on the main grid will earn an equivalent to last place concession award of +2pp toward their next event driver regulation. For those at the +20pp regulation, no more concession will be afforded.

If the Pre-Qualification is Necessary:
-@Noob01_lmdead / PSN ID: RJC76 will be our dedicated Pre-Qualifying room host with @Bologna_Duc / PSN ID: DucatiRobb as our back-up host for this session. Be sure to have both of them on your PSN friends list to have access to their room. They will not be on track during this session (unless they are outside the top 12 in standings and are part of the run-off group)
-Pre-Qualification Lobby will be openened at 8:30pm est on our scheduled race night. Lobby settings will be set to the same as the main race lobby, except for the change to 10 minutes for the Pre-qualifying session. All confirmed Drivers (or last minute available drivers) will have 10 minutes to enter the room and forward their spec sheets to my PSN ID or to the series PSN group chat.
-Pre Qualifying will start promptly at 8:40pm est for a 10 minute qualifying session. (Again, if only 4 drivers are present at 8:40pm est, this session can be cancelled and those 4 drivers can procede to the main race room at 9pm est)
-The host will collect a screenshot of the qualifying results to be sent to the series group chat, and the top 4 (or more if needed to cover for very late last minute drops) will be directed to procede to the main race room when it opens at 9pm est.
-This Pre-Qualification room will then be closed, and all drivers that made the grid are to procede to the main race room when it opens at 9pm est.
-The main race lobby/room will then procede in it's current format of 15 min warmup/sending specs, 15 min Race 1 qualifying session, and then the 30 min race 1. Drivers that race the pre-qualification are expected to send their spec sheet again once the main race room is entered.

I will be hosting practice sessions in the afternoons periodically over the next few weeks between 4pm-5pm est, and am sure there will be other rooms open during the evening prime-time. Get those laps in and be ready.

Date: August 15th, 2025 at 9pm est
Track: Nurburgring GP
Conditions: Late Morning, CO1, Cloudy and Bright
Laps: 16 laps /race
Target Lap Times: 2:01's

Keep 2 wheels on or within the white line where curbing is not present, or on the curbs where they are present at all times, except where it is specifically noted otherwise. The white line and curbing is considered legal track surface. Failure to comply to track boundaries could result in penalties if infractions are witnessed and reported.

Exceptions and Specified areas:
Exit of Turn 4, drivers may run off past the white line, but must be back to two wheels on or inside the white line prior to the second track separation line, see picture:

Below is the link for the 2nd Post in the thread with the most updated driver regulations. Those highlighted in yellow either need to run an initial TT, or run a follow up TT to get the regulations confirmed.
Drivers Roster and Regulations
Please see below for the rules if not completed before race night:

At the time of this post, we currently have 18 drivers confirmed for event #3 with only 12 of them guaranteed a grid spot based on their overall series standing. All remaining drivers who are confirmed or confirm before Friday at 8pm est on race night will be asked to run in the pre-qualifying room at 8:30pm est on race night. The top 4 times (or more if needed to cover any last minute drops after the pre-qualifying session) will move on to the main race event room.
Please be sure to confirm your entry if wanting to compete.

It’s not even August yet and the Nurburgring is getting hot! RJC76 and I both went oob at T4 so our lap times technically don’t count. But the times for these drivers are already incredibly close. Unless there are mistakes ahead then overtakes are quite difficult at this track especially with close lap times. It is still early practice so the pit mechanics and paint shops are very busy. Normal!

Fun racing @bublyman @socalnatv @Noob01_lmdead @radliffracing @DublDee @CdnSweetTee @Mac1032763 @Yugofan

Event #2 / Race #2 Recap

250718 - Spotter Guide Event #2 png.png

Preamble:
Here's your race recap for Race #2 from 10 days ago. I had plans to get this out on the weekend but got I stuck taking my daughter to a concert in Toronto. (Tyler, the Creator anyone??? I didn't go in the venue but it seems like a far cry from the Soundgarden, Tool or Ministry concerts I used to attend in the 1990's) Moving on...

As per our usual procedures, the grid for Race #2 is set in reverse order. This means that the front row is occupied by @cesarr64 and @JDMKING13. The second row will have @Mac1032763 line up next to @bublyman. @Phlano099 and @DublDee will start on the third row.

Event #2 / Race #2:

LAP #1:
It's lights out for Race #2 at Sainte-Croix. @cesarr64 had a great reaction at the start and leads the field through Turn 1 which was navigated cleanly by the entire grid.
SHARE_20250728_0158130.jpeg

LAP #1 - Lead Change:
On the back straight of Lap #1, @cesarr64 slightly kissed the wall which led to @Mac1032763 taking the lead. @Phlano099, @radliffracing and @DublDee round up the top 5. By the end of this long straight, @Phlano099 would also pass @cesarr64 to move into 2nd.
SHARE_20250728_0158390.jpeg

LAP #2:
@Mac1032763 and @Phlano099 are still in 1st and 2nd, just ahead. But there's some real good stuff between @DublDee, @Bologna_Duc, @llNovall, @Noob01_lmdead who are running 3rd through 6th. Pictured below is @Bologna_Duc going a little wide but he manages a race-saving catch which only costs him 1 position.
SHARE_20250728_0158570.jpeg

LAP #3:
Lots of traffic heading onto the bridge on Lap #3. @radliffracing is still flirting with this wall.
SHARE_20250728_0159130.jpeg

LAP #6:
This group has been going at it pretty hard. Unfortunately @Worst_Driver is photo-bombing what could have been a nice group shot of the N.R.D.S. squad at Turn 1 of Lap #6.
SHARE_20250728_1027210.jpeg

LAP #8:
Checking-in at the front, @Mac1032763 still leads. He managed to build a nice cushion for himself despite a really good run from @Phlano099 in 2nd. @DublDee is pictured in the distance, still occupying 3rd place.
SHARE_20250728_1027490.jpeg

LAP #10:
Coming off the bridge on Lap #10, @The_Antman_ was going side-by-side with @llNovall but looks to have missed a breaking point and went hard into the wall. The error would drop him from 8th to 13th place.
SHARE_20250728_1028090.jpeg

LAP #10:
A view from inside @llNovall's cockpit. He temporarily put it into park as it appears household distractions have occurred. I know you had guests over making it difficult to step away to host a race for a few hours. The other 15 drivers on the grid certainly continue to appreciate the time you invest in this.
SHARE_20250728_1028280.jpeg

LAP #11:
@Worst_Driver is still hanging out with most of the N.R.D.S. team. @Noob01_lmdead leads this foursome from the 4th position. The top three remain @Mac1032763, @Phlano099 and @DublDee.
SHARE_20250729_1204370.jpeg

LAP #12:
The battle between @Noob01_lmdead, @socalnatv and @Worst_Driver is the hottest on the track at the moment. This picture captures the moment @socalnatv moved ahead of @Noob01_lmdead and into 4th.
SHARE_20250729_1205060.jpeg

LAP #13:
@Bologna_Duc fell back a little bit from the guys battling in the previous picture but @Yugofan and @DRD_Niagara were happy to have him join our fight which was occurring a few seconds behind the previous threesome.
@Bologna_Duc, @Yugofan and @DRD_Niagara currently occupying the 7th through 9th position.
SHARE_20250729_1205270.jpeg

LAP #14:
@Mac1032763 took the lead from the mid-point of Lap #1 and managed to maintain the position until the checkered flag to capture the first win for the Cat 5 Racing team. @Phlano099 and @DublDee will share the podium with him.
SHARE_20250729_1205440.jpeg

@The_Antman_ manages to get into squeeze into the 2:12's to log the race's fastest lap at 2:12.986, slightly edging out @Mac1032763 2:13.048. @socalnatv's 2:13.242 and @Worst_Driver's 2:13.272 also extremely fast coming from the Pro-Am and Pro class.

Event #2 / Race #2 Broadcast:

Driver of the Race Award:
As I review the replay a few times to pull pictures and to record the broadcast, things stand out to me so I give a shout-out to the following drivers for their performance in Event #2 / Race #2:
Honorable mention to @socalnatv who finishes 4th despite starting but the last spot on the grid. And to @Worst_Driver for yet another fantastic drive. He starts in 13th and gets to within a tenth of of a second to the top 5 while carrying his 674 PPs.

Final Thoughts:
  • That's it from France. Sainte-Croix gave us some really fun racing and it's onto the technical Nürburgring GP for Event #3 in just over a 2 weeks time.
  • That's two Events in the books and we should start seeing the positive and negative PP adjustments factor into the racing going forward.
  • Good racing available every Sunday night in Snail's SPEC League. A perfect spot to work on race craft. We had 11 in D1 this past Sunday and another 7 in D2.
That's how I interpreted Event #2 / Race #2.

Have you tried this?

@Noob01_lmdead

Congratulations on that race. This was a great finish even before listening to this Chicograffo guy. I only understand about 15% of what he's saying but he adds a lot of excitement to it. I assume he's doing this live during the race and if so, you can't possibly be listening to him while in the heat of the battle right? (I'd have a heart attack listening to him going into the bus stop side-by-side with somebody)

At my age of 46 it's unlikely I'll make a career out of sim-racing but this might be the next closest thing. Who knows what the future holds.

@Oshawa-Joe - I can provide this service in English or in French, but if in French, then I'm requesting to have @Worst_Driver or @bublyman in the announcers booth with me as play-by-by-analyst as their French is better than mine.

With my ps5 headphone i can listen the game and my phone at the same time
Some people use the speaker at their phone so we can listen during race
Is fun but you lose some concentración but is worth the fun race and listen at the same time
In this race i mute my phone, it was so intense i could not lose any time due miss concentration

I was reviewing some Nurb practice lobby replays last night. Several nights ago there was a race where just about every driver went off at some point due to self-inflicted errors or someone elses. For example, if a car goes a bit wide at the end of the Schumacher S (T10) into the gravel, say, a not-Pepsi-sponsored car, there’s a chance they spin back onto the track into the line of a car behind. After she t-boned my errant car I captured a photo of @CdnSweetTee as she hit the apex:

IMG_0500.webp

Air Canada

IMG_0499.webp

and drivers view of the landing. Ouch. Looks like she’s trying to fly the car a bit left. I don’t think that worked too well.

@DRD_Niagara dont be so hard on yourself, your french is on point. Be proud, there will always be people that look down on anything that isn’t the french from France ;) Another great read of your race recaps ! Always a pleasure. I still don’t know how I managed to get a 2:13.2xx. I guess the race lobby was faster than the qualy lobby. I was surprised to be competitive at Sainte-Croix. I guess I need to practice to make the most out of Nurburgring GP.

Just had a fun watch thru this video. Its funny because I'm not a Ford fan or a Verstappen fan, but I came away appreciating both after this watch. Great car, and Max....got to appreciate his "matter of fact" vibe he has about everything, the raw talent and dedication, and his appreciation for all types of motorsport. Enjoy

I’m a huge fan of Verstappen, but that goes back to my Dutch heritage. He’s a bit on the aggressive side, but he’s a very talented driver, not just in F1. Absolutely love his take on FWD. 🤣🤣
Fun fact, my great grandfather was some type of official at the Zandvoort circuit, and most of my family is still in Zandvoort. I’m not sure exactly what his role was at the track but have been doing some investigating and found a great picture of my grandfather standing beside James Hunts car I believe. I’ll try post it when I get home tonight.
