I was under the impression that the special holiday seasonal TT's were "bonus" TT's and that the normal cycle of new TT's coming out when the two old ones expired would still be happening.

As in, 15 minutes ago, shouldn't there have been 2 new TT's when the 450pp Matterhorn and 600pp Streets of Willow TT's ended?

I am not near my PS3, go online and have a look at the at the events and see.

Polyphony Digital are currently away on their holiday's, normal services will resume on the 14th of January.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Wtf???

The only thing I really enjoy and care about in this game are the TT's.

Was really happy and excited logging in a couple minutes before the new TT's were (I thought) about to come out. Really felt like a punch to the gut realizing they aren't even going to bother.

If they knew they were gonna take the holidays off, I mean, couldn't they still have just picked a couple of TT tracks a few weeks ago, in advance, and had it all ready to go so all they'd have to do is just click "begin event" or whatever for 1 minute today at 3:00, so the cycle of TT's would go on like normal?

This is the first time I've felt genuinely angry in the 4 months since having bought this game. Really disappointed about this.

What a terrible way to start the new year. :grumpy:

Until they do show up, I think I'll continue to enjoy the high dollar pay outs of these other seasonals as I still have not golded them all.

What are you guys buying to have money issues? I have every top car on the game, and have been getting the "you cannot have more than 50 million credits" pop-up for over a year.

Well huh , maybe you could lend a part of that 50 milion cap?.. There is a slew of cars I need to buy :P

Well Turn 10 are still beavering away on the Jan DLC so some people are still going.

I think if you've been playing this since Dec 2013 then yeah, you should have many 10s of millions. I've done 99% of the career and the usual stuff and seasonals and I have all the 20 mil. cars and multiples of the Base models and the Red Bull cars. I'm at a point where I buy the Red Bull cars to soak up my money.

I sat down and did a few of the quick matches and trust me, the money ROLLS in. Usually 3 laps of a short circuit like Autumn Ring etc. and you get 300k+ etc. for 3rd and it slides up.

I am not looking for a new seasonal. I was letting people know that these seasonals are enjoyable and I'm not in a hurry for a regular monthly update.

I too have all the cars I want. In GT5 I had close to 1,300 cars. It was hard to sort through them all. So when I started GT 6 I only purchased the cars I wanted or needed and nothing more. I only play a couple times per week when I can so I do not have 50 million in the bank and all the cars in the game. But due to the payouts in these last sets I do have just over 40 million right now. The highest I've had since I started GT6. There may be a chromeline I don't have yet ;)

Do you really need a reminder how quickly you can spend 50 million in GT6? 3 cars is all it takes. And then please tell me how long it takes you to build up those 50 million again, when you've finished all the Seasonals before and when, like at this current time, there is not a single Seasonal event that will give you any money, because they all only pay out once. (and the races that would give you repeated payouts have finished, but for some reason are still in the Seasonals, sort of mocking us)

The best money making possibility currently seems to be the Quick Races, but you have to deal with questionable driving styles there and a less than stable implementation. That just goes to show how neglected one feels these days playing GT6.

A bit off topic but you can earn easy and fast money in ''Quick matches'' and you dont even have to win to get a nice prize. I usually earn between 150k and 500k per race and even more, it's a little bit random what you can get (I have the 5 days bonus btw). The only problem is that there are many dirty players and for some reason there are way more lag than in normal online rooms.

You know, it's funny. I came back to GT-6 for the Seasonals, because I had gone back to GT5, and that got boring after doing all the Endurance Races.

But Right now I logged on and there is not ONE playable Seasonal!?!? WTF over. PD need to get their act together boys and girls, there has to be a better Racing sim. I sure hope so!
Cheers, Pete

Let's hope there's Thursday a short TT in it. The minute laps are the best.(I think).

I am sure we will get the regular seasonals back on Thursday. I just hope they are something interesting. I got a kick out of the 450pp at gt arena myself. The high pp events usually entail bringing out the ringer car and just getting the gold in my case.

do you think that they would also bring in an update for early 2016?New VGT cars in link with some auto salons that are coming to north america?

I Hope so, It's a pretty long time ago. It's time for new VGT cars.

Personally, I've never cared all that much about the VGT cars (I do realize that some people like them, just saying for me personally or whatever) but one thing I would DEFINITELY like to see more of would the F1 cars. In GT5 they had not just the Formula Gran Turismo and the Lotus, but additionally they had two recent/current real life F1 cars from Ferrari (the F2007 and F'10 I think it was). And I think they might've been "premium"-style, too, although I can't remember for sure.

But yea, it would be really cool to get at least a couple of current or within-past-5-years-or-so real life F1 cars. maybe the Red Bull F1 car from when it was in its prime 3 or 4 years ago, or one of the Mercedes F1 cars or Ferrari F1 cars from the past few years. But heck, I'd even be thrilled with even one of the lower-level F1 cars from like Sauber or Caterham or what have you, if licensing costs is their reason for not bothering, just SOMETHING, as long as it is from within the past few years and a real life non-fictional model (unlike the Formula Gran Turismo which is a fictional car (not that there's anything wrong with that, but, just saying it would be nice to have 1 real one from more recently than the 1980's). And done in premium visual representation, preferably.

It just seems like a bad idea not to have at least 1 or 2 like they had in GT5, when considering how many Gran Turismo players are bigtime F1 fans, and enjoy driving the F1 cars on the 6 or 7 real world tracks in the game that are part of the current F1 racing tracks (i.e. Silverstone, Spa Francorchamps, Red Bull Racetrack, Monaco (aka Cote d'Azur), Monza, Suzuka (and some recent/alternating/previous etc ones like Nurburging-GP track, and Fuji and whatnot).

Maybe PD will pamper us with LMP1 race cars on comfort hard tires on a rain drenched Kart track. :scared: The other two races will be Tsukuba (400 or 450 PP) and Matterhorn (500 or 550 PP) again.:D Lets face it: PD is very unimaginative when it comes to creating new challenges. Why do they always use the same PP limits and why are some tracks preferred while others are never used.

There are auto salons in all parts of the world. That means there are lots of oportunities to release new VGT cars. The Bugatti Chiron VGT was shown on the IAA Auto Show in Frankfurt in September and is still not available in the game. In march the street legal version will be on display at Geneva. Pictures of the Hyundai N 2025 VGT are around for a while too. I hope at least one of these two will be released soon.

agreed. They should also choose some user made tracks that are analogous to the remaining world circuits and do a f1 championship.
I'd be happy to see this as a extra feature that comes in after the S class.

That reminds me of and old NES game, calle Formula 1 Build to win, on which you start with an old mini cooper, update to a Vector W8 and a ferrari f40, before gaining access to F1 and run the world GP.

Meaning that PD should give an actual place feel of these tracks ( Gilles-Villeneuve racetrack on Eifel is cool, but giving it a better Montreal feel would be great).

and also have a place where open wheeled cars could roam.

Ahhh, open wheel cars. Now we need some pre-aero F1 cars to toss about the tracks :)

A Rocket one make race would be as close as Gt6 could get to that lol.

Rocket at tsukuba? Hard racing tires.

The rocket has this particularity to look like an old-fashioned f1- car. have you seen the pics of a 1950's formula 1 car??

Yeah I saw that, It's a funny care to drive anyway 👍

back to topic, what are your expectations for tonight ( as the current seasonal are closing tonight at 10 PM EST, that's GMT -5) ???

Well I hope for a nice TT, I prefer a 1 minute round. A race with normal cars would be also fun again.
