Just a piece of advice: Don't start overcompensating (like I did) afterwards. Made some bad mistakes myself that way. Best of luck to you, and keep your head up.

Great advice. I'm trying my best not to fall into that trap but instead use it as a reason to start making positive changes in my life. Probably easier said than done, but it's all I can do

Last few days have been awful.

Moved into uni on friday and the following things happened.

The wetroom door has no seal so it floods the bedroom.
Yesterday the lift broke which meant climbing 9 floors about 7 times.
The ethernet is broken so only my PS3 can get the internet as the wireless works.
Yup sounds like college. Well in my case I spent every year in college like that in various typical college houses. Actually I'm amazed at how I used to live, but certainly don't regret it. Stuff memories are made of man. Anyway, hope it gets better for you.

Haha yes that does sound quite familiar. Trust me it will be funnier looking back on it than it is as a present situation. Good luck!

Yesterday at Valleyfair was fun.

My son and wife throwing up in my truck today wasn't.

:scared: I'm thinking/hoping that this is from the rides, and not other stuff?

And, good luck with cleaning that up...

My day was better, although I slept right through the parkour meet from today. Does anyone else feel absolutely exhausted after school (college?)

Ironic timing, to be sure, but it appears to be completely unrelated. I'm thinking it's a stomach bug. Hopefully a quick one so he can go to school tomorrow but as he didn't even feel like taking a shower and just wanted to go to sleep, he must be feeling pretty crappy.

If I end up not taking a shower for a full day, someone needs to take me to the doctor. :scared: I'm possibly a bit shower-obsessed. :)

I hope everything's fine. 👍

That's a good idea. I have always loved that feeling myself. Can't wait to rebuild my pickup :)

Yeah, I figured why not pass down the family ring but also introduce another family jewel.

An absolutely fantastic day all round for myself. As of next Monday I will become the Drive-Time radio presenter on 107.8 Academy FM Thanet, to an average audience of around 15,000 people!
Congratulations!

All the time. Although, in my case, going to the beach every other day doesn't really help. My girlfriend insists that we go to the beach often - her way of bonding. Honestly though, I'm thankful that I could swim in either the Atlantic or Pacific because all Canada has is lakes..... and they're pretty shallow.

Today was good. My muscles are very soar though which means that doing any activity is going to be a pain. I'm trying to look for a suction cup that is about 30 cm in diameter to fix the dent in the family van. So far, I've been referred to a GoPro. They don't have GoPro's in Central America... that is, based on my extensive research of about 5 minutes, so I'll have to look into that further. Until then, I'll continue trying with the plunger.

I also got locked outside in the cold today during 1st hour. I had collected leaves for a project but couldn't get inside. I was out there for 5 minutes. I had nothing to do but try to open doors and wait. Nobody noticed I was gone. The teacher finally remembered and let me in the school. When I got back to the room, my face was frozen and nobody cared. Even my friend in that class didn't notice.

I've gotten stuck outside of the school before; thankfully it was warm. I got stuck outside of my house on a winter day with shorts and no socks. My feet were nearly one with the insoles of my shoes. My brother was home the whole time but he didn't hear me knocking on the door.

- My day was okay. I rode my bike to college and sweat ensued after arriving there. I've turned in my first drawing which I think I did alright on and I delivered an unprepared speech. I made no eye contact. Oh well. Now I'm just sitting here doing some late Philosophy studying at 2:31Pm. I love life... sometimes.

I have a-lot to look forward to this week I think so.

Today I went to university in a pause for almost 2 months(I was on lengthy summer vacation) so as to enroll my classes for the coming semester(starting out from the 30th of this month) - taking 3 and a half hour in total until I eventually polished off deciding on which one to take.

To begin with, I could secure off some regular lectures of history and linguistics I usually book for in my curriculum, for the next tier I registered an academic essay class in which I usually get good grades at the end of each term, communicative English and practical English discussion classes in which, to say nothing of you're to discuss everything on miscellaneous topics in the tongue.

Also to top it off, I could successfully get my place in translation class, and an intensive course where deals with foreign languages used in public mass medias - that I found very stimulating to fall for myself.

Only thing I cringe at is that I couldn't register some compulsory courses I flunked in former semesters for overlapping with due tuitions for this semester, meaning that I have to abide until next year to take them again and it might be a bit concerning for my graduation in future. :(

Today was nice, my dad and I met one of his friends who lives in Leeds. He's a great guy, and is definitely someone I'll be able to rely on if I need help. On the way back, we also stopped at a Jaguar dealership, and I sat in one of everything they make. I think Jaguar is one of the few automakers who manage to have a lineup full of cars I'd want to own.

EDIT: Someone threw up on our flat living room floor. Nothing kills a party like that. I feel quite sorry for the girl who it happened to, but I'm not sure what I can do besides assure her it's okay, which she knows already. Fortunately for me, I can stop drinking now that the party has sort of stopped.

Pretty good. Slept in a bit late so I played GTA V for a little while. Checked with a few friends to see what they are doing after I missed a text. Called around, turns out we were going to Cruise Night. That's basically what I do every Wednesday. So we went to the drag strip, watched some cars race, raced a few of our, and I talked to a lady and her husband who had a numbers matching 292 Y Block '59 Thunderbird convertible. Later I talked to a younger guy about my age that had a '77 F-150 Custom and turns out he had a few other toys. He swapped in a 5.0L H.O. (originally had the 300 I6 like mine). A older gentleman came over and we got to talking for about an hour and a half about strange factory stuff and older cars etc, hot rods he owned etc. Was pretty cool.

Later after they left I went back to my friends and we all decided to go out to dinner. So we went and ate (there was about 8 of us) and then we all said goodbye and left. Since the drag strip is now out of season, we are trying to figure out what to do every Wednesday night now

Great day! :D At work we got hold of an old Ampex MM1000 tape recorder from the 60's. Pretty much spent awhile cleaning it up (had been untouched in a garage for about 20 years), and then spent the rest of the day putting it back together. Now there is both digital and analogue equipment in the recording studio. :D

And then I left to catch the public bus back up the valley and to the school where I finally got my DFGT back from a friend who has been borrowing it for a month or so before catching the school bus home.

Finally!

 I know, right! I was worried because the guy who was borrowing it said that the shifter wasn't working. :scared: Fortunately it is working, and I had to wait 3 weeks to find that out. And now all is good, except for a bit of dust, which surprisingly after 3 and a half hours in my room has sort of disappeared... Hooray for dustlessness. :p

Neat! I like analog stuff. You can have a hybrid setup (recording analog, mixing etc. digital) or even go full analog, which would be useful if you had the crazy idea of getting your own vinyl out ;)

My day was not so special... I'm relaxing now, and looking forward to tomorrow, when I'll be spending some time with a friend and his girlfriend. They're a nice couple, so it should be fun. :)

I think I might actually have a fear of driving. Fortunately, I live in the city and can take the train for the rest of my life or until cars with semi automatic transmissions becomes cheap enough for me to afford. Also, while driving on the road today my driving instructor told me to drive smoothly and be calm. He said ''you don't have to drive so fast, relax''. How can I not? It's the only way I know! I never told him I played Gran Turismo though. I think manual transmission is just too complicated. Not good if you want to drive in the city, cramming along with other cars, worrying about being late for work. I just cant concentrate enough and will probably get in a wreck sooner or later. I think if I have to, I'll drive a sissy automatic until I get myself a flappy paddle shifter. Technology is advancing and getting cheaper right? SOON...

I just gave my friend more willpower. He had claimed his crush wouldn't like him because he was "ugly". I argued with him for about 10 minutes and he finally gave up. I took him down, Phoenix Wright style. It feels great. Especially since he's helping me move and helping me with my money situation.

Today, nothing special really. Just plain old going to school and doing homework. Friday is when the real stuff happens.

That is most likely what we're going to do with it. Hopefully when I hire out some studio time there I can go for a hybrid setup (which I think is the plan anyway). :D

Good.

Woke up, got out of bed. Interneteted a bit, ate. Made 6 litres of Chevril soup. Went to the Gym and did some cardio (home trainer and rowing). Came home, ate lunch. Did the dishes. Interneteted a little bit more.

Got a new bicycle lock, broke the key of my other bicycle lock 3 days ago.
Started intalling the DRL's, ate in the mean time (twice) and interneteted again. Which I'm still doing.

Horrible. Spent half of my day in a traffic jam!

It got worse beyond the hill... I hit every back alley and narrow neighborhood streets for 2 hours. Left the house at 11 a.m. and came back at 3 p.m.

Awesome, spent the whole day learning to ride a 60hp flat track bike.

The track was only an 1/8 mile, but once the rear end hooked up it pulled HARD.

Not a bad day so far. I make my debut on Drivetime for the radio station that I work for, so I'm really excited for it.
