Well glad that you haven't fell for that yet. :D Meanwhile, back at the asylum.

Edit: Now I don't know weather I want to learn how to draw or spend my days playing games.

My father has another infection (his CRP is getting higher again) on top of a severe Streptococcus infection due to a medical blunder of a dentist who wanted to pull my father's tooth while having a tooth abscess. He had a infection in his lungs, his lower bowel and his prosthetic hip. They removed his prosthesis and replaced it with a temporary spacer. This is a cement prothesis filled with anti biotics. Problem is that his temporary prothetic hip is dislocated and pressing on nerves. He can barely move his left leg and lost a lot of mobility in his left foot. Also lost some feeling in his big toe. Yesterday, they did a nerve and muscle test and found out that there is no signal from certain nerves to certain muscles in his left foot, so his left foot is getting paralised. Hopefully they can fix the problem.

Show off your purchases. :p

Oh god. Hope they can fix the problem like you said.

I hope so too. His hip has been dislocated for at least 6 weeks. They can't replace it with a new prothesis as long as there is an infection in his body.

The other infection is caused by skin bacteria which got into his catheter located in the artery in his neck. This the second time he got a cather infection.

He's in the hospital since October 12 (at midnight), which was my birthday. :D

Woah.... hope they solve the problem, and hope your dad gets well soon!

On a lighter note, I got my main account's PSN password back! So I can play online on my old PS3.

My Day well i had the FBI hijack my Package for no reason. (Pkg delay-add'l security check by gov't or other agency- beyond UPS control)

NSA is installing spyware onto your computer. (There are some articles covering that ;P)

Well the last couple days have been epic.

Went over to a friends house and got his quads up and running. He has a Polaris Sportsman 400 HO and a 500 HO. The 400 lost a bolt on the lower A-arm on the left side (if you are sitting on it) and disconnected the CV shaft from the differential, and tossed his brother over the handlebars. Got that back together and took it out and I ripped on it real hard for a while until it would lose all power and die...think there's a short in the killswitch now.

The 500 needed a battery. Replaced that, tested the starter, and it fired up with the key. Pulled the housing for the pull cord off as it wasn't going back in all the way and replaced some of the springs and it fired up on the first start.

Later we took his KX125 dirt bike that didn't run (after one of my friends put the clutch back together) and traded it with $200 for a 1996 Ski-Doo MXZ 583 sled that needs a few small things. Tuned it up a bit and that thing hauls. I did not hold back at all on it. I had it up to 70mph in his back yard like it was nothing. The thumb throttle was a bit stiff and it tore my thumb up but overall it runs well.

Looking around for used vehicles... no luck at all. So I went online and found these two.

AE86 Coupe

AE86 Hatch

They seem good. Anyway, today it snowed the whole day. I got excited as there was at least 50 cm of snow on the ground. Then I heard a faint trickle, and looked outside to see rain. :grumpy:

So tomorrow, I'm going to have to break the ice and then shovel it....

Met a friend of a friend and her FOB italian girlfriend at this stupid bar today. What a disaster. I ordered some Oude Tart from the bruery. Ten bucks. For good beer like that? Worth it, I thought. But then they brought me a freaking shot glass-sized snifter. I was like you have got to be freaking kidding me. Nothing pisses me off like tiny beer. I'd rather they not be sneaky asses and charge me $30 for a 10oz if they're going to be that cheap.

Then I had some hot quinoa vegetable salad **** that I couldn't even eat because apparently quinoa turns to marbles in your stomach. My piss smells like someone set fire to a paint bucket thanks to that ****.

Well, at least I know what I'm doing next weekend. They said I should go out with them but what happens in vegas stays in vegas. I said, great, and I guess that means what you've got you can't get rid of. No thank you.

Everyone can't believe I don't have a girlfriend. Whatever. It's playoffs for me!

Dad and I went to the bike show in Toronto, so that was fun.

Weather was bad coming home, even in 4wd the truck was still spinning its tires.

God dammit.

The one time I grow a beard, and dare I say it's quite stylish, my family's like "NOPE" and I'm forced to choose: Keep the beard for my own enjoyment, for my girlfriend's enjoyment and because my friends like it (and some are even envious of it) or shave it off so as to not get constantly annoyed by my family anymore?

That was my day in a nutshell.

Yes, I know, life is a bitch.

:p

First day of real, paid work in months went a lot better than expected. Even if it just consisted of setting up phones and and office desktop, coupled with some laptop shopping because I need one solely for work. Didn't have the ones I wanted in stock at the store though, so I'll have to check online tomorrow.

I have to do 18 hours a week for the first few months and brush up on my CAD skills before I truly start full-time.

Well...things haven't gotten off to a great start for the year. In the current situation...I can only assume that I'll probably get kicked out of the house. Which is a good, but also bad thing... As I still haven't been able to find a job.

Came so close to buggering the Transmission Control Module in a 2011 Ford Focus at work thanks to IDS playing up :/ Saved it though

I usually leave work with my email inbox empty. There are 22 waiting for me as of the time I left, at least 16 of which actually require my attention. Based on the other emails from the same person today, those 16 will likely take me no fewer than 2 hours each. Not to mention the usual work stuff which easily fills my 40 hour week.

And we're having a party at our house this weekend so cleaning and preparing for that every night when I get home, again on top of the normal house stuff.

:irked:

My immune system flew out the window when my regular sleeping hours retired during the Holidays. Slowly getting sick, starting with a soar throat, runny nose.... the usual. Plus it's apparently flu season here in Canada (a few cases around the country and everyone goes ape 🤬). Kissing those chicks during the party was a bad idea, because definitely it wasn't worth it.

Prices are mental here... I thought Panama was bad, but here... it's a whole different ball game. I'm spending $400 a week buying groceries... WTF! My cart is only half full, and it's $400?! Plus, this is the only time I actually referred to the family mini-van, as a gas guzzler. Paying $60 every week.

This is why I hate big countries.... I have to drive 70km just to go to a 🤬 coffee shop to meet with friends/colleagues.

So yeah.... that was a little rant about my humble country of residence.

One word: Costco.

You could fill an entire CR-V with $400 worth of stuff from there.

Just talked to my father on the phone and he said that he has to come home for 3 weeks before his next opertation.

A CT scan showed that a nerve (L5 vertebra), responsible for movement and sensation in his left foot is swollen, hence the paraylise muscles and toe. This can be due to the swollen nerve (L5) or due to the fact that his nerve is stretched and under tension because his hip is still dislocated.

I don't know what to make of it. I'm pleased he can come home for a while but I'm a little bit worried what will happen to his health and left food once he's home.

Mixed emotions but the good emotions are prevailing.

Well Finals are back again, have a mechanics 1 final on Sunday which I need to do really well to salvage any sort of a decent grade (awful course work).

Hope it goes smoothly and why is there no fast forward your life at Uni button because it has been 3 🤬 crap semesters so far.
