So, how was your day?

I'm not too sure. It seems to be a festival to celebrate the flowers on the crops, which apparently look beautiful and spread for miles, but I don't see what's so great about that.

I suppose we'll drive up there, find a bar and I'll do my usual thing while the others act like tourists and take photos. I'm hoping the 'festival' has some live bands to jam to.
 
Was on the fence of posting this, but I kinda need to get it off my chest.

Had the worst day of my entire life yesterday. Had to say farewell to my mother, who's passed on at the age of 55. Wouldn't have happened if she got proper treatment right from the start - but she didn't. Lots of doctors failed to give the right diagnosis - and once they actuall found out, it was already to late.

I've got no idea how to cope with that loss, to be quite honest.
 
I'm sorry to hear about that, medical care can be amazing or completely awful. I wish your case would have been the other way round.

Yeah, it's all a bit fresh, so it's not expected to be easy. Hell, it never is. I'm just glad that she didn't have to suffer much.
 
I'm very sorry to hear that, really my heart is in my stomach, Luminis. I wish you all the best going forward.
 
No one is expecting you to not feel bad mate. Losing someone as close to you as your own mother is truly painful. I cannot speak from first hand experience but as 2 of my friends lost their mums at a young age, time and support of friends and family will ease the pain. My condolences to you and your family.

I'm sorry you have had to go through this. My mom is in the same boat but hasn't gotten that far yet. All the best man.
 
Sad to hear Luminis, from personal experience, it does take a while to get over, but it does eventually heal to a degree, given enough time.

Sharing is also helpful, not good to keep it in all to yourself, that's harmful in the long run. That's what I found anyway. I'll echo the condolences to you and your family.

I've gathered some of my closest friends over the course of the last few days and will continue to do so for a few more. It sure helps to not be left alone.

I am sorry for your loss, Luminis. Unfortunately, I was in the same boat few years ago. It is good that you have your friends around and that your sharing, I isolated myself completely for almost 2 years...fortunately I recovered. And as others said, time will eventually help to a degree.

I had a horrible day. First, I got sick during school and had to go home, now I feel weak and lightheaded. I also twisted my ankle as I got out of the car and can hardly move. Just horrible. :grumpy:

That's terrible. I can't imagine having to let my mother go. I wish you and your family nothing but the best.


On Monday I got new drums, but didn't have time to play them until today because I had to set them up (put heads on and tune them as Well as put all the brackets on). But they sound so good and I'm so happy I decided to get them!

Also, lately I've been really into the Beatles. The only album I have is Abbey Road, but it is so good and it makes me so very happy. It has made my day good.

My day was pretty much spent staring at the ceiling going out of my mind. Fun, fun, fun. :grumpy:
 
Well, today some kid got expelled (it was only a matter of the time, the kid was an utter 🤬), and then got rather angry and came back an hour later and placed a bomb (not a proper bomb, just a petrol bomb... But that could have still done damage), the school handled it very well, and it showed me how much the current acting principal (the school's deputy principal who is filling in for the normal principal) cares about the school, because she was almost crying when telling the school (because this could really damage the school's reputation, which has been improved massively over the last 5 years ever since she started working here... Wait, this is my 5th year there... Maybe the school's new good reputation is because I am there :p). Other than that slight mishap, everything was just same old same old. Played some guitar in music, spent an hour on a swing because I was bored in my study spell and then failed to walk properly upon getting off.
 
Not a bad day today...if you ignore the grand total of 63 minutes I spent in two sessions on hold to ****ing Flybe to first check that a slightly unusual flight booking was all OK and then waiting to talk to them again when I couldn't amended it online EVEN THOUGH THEY BLOODY TOLD ME I COULD!!!! :mad:

Idiots.
 
Got blue sky and sun today. That's not often this time around.

Not bad temps either, though I could live without the snow. :dopey:
 
How was my week?

Well, not too bad. Went skiing in Warth, Austria. I'm dizzy at the moment. Drove straight for 850km.

Went to eat tacos with a friend from the office, had a good talk, it's almost 7pm... and today it's payday :)!!!!

I went skydiving for the first time today!! Was soooo much fun! Definitely going again when I can! Little brother won his baseball grand final coming from a 6-0 at the bottom of the 3rd to be up 16-6 bottom of 5th :lol: and getting ready to go to a 21st :)

Awesome, right? One of the best experiences of a life time, I'd say.

Anywho, today has been fairly standard as far as getting to work, doing my classes and everything else is concerned. My mental state has improved slightly since getting back on the 'Zac and I'm pretty sire I'm going to have a nice relaxing evening at home cleaning my bike.

Also I finally took delivery of my dirt bike which I've been waiting 6 months for from the factory so I guess Monday I'll be having lots of off-road fun. Pics when I finally get to ride it.

Oh yeah! The rush of sitting on the edge on the plane with your feet hanging at 14000 feet... I'm addicted haha. Shame my nuts ended up somewhere near my stomach when the parachute opened though >.<
