So I painted my C6 RM (C6R GT2) and I feel ripped off

This is GT5 not Forza 3...oh wait...

See, this is part of the reason why I sold my PS3 and GT5. It only has two things going for it - premium cars and the driving physics. Everything else is tacked on and poorly thought out.

The game is really all about one thing really. The physics. PD has every other Console-based "simulators" out there beat because they are #1 in the physics department.

Do I buy GT games so I can make my cars look pretty? No, I buy them so I can drive the cars. Isn't that the point of a driving game? :dopey:

I bought a Ford GT specifically without stripes except when I painted it the stripes came back. Only a small issue but one nonetheless.

I think this looks pretty tasty, personally.

I painted my ZR1 RM with that color orange. The ZR1 has a white rear quarter panel though. I think it looks amazing is now my favorite car in the garage.

Yes you can...

Technically that's a preview, but it's not an intended feature. PD should've just set it up so your paint chips are applied as you hover over them and you press X on one you like.

I'd hardly call that a preview. That's a work around that shouldn't need to happen. It's a giant pain to restart the game every time you want to test a color.

They could easily add a preview button that drops you in the showroom with your car in the new color. Or better yet, just have your car update as you scroll through your paint.

Childish: I put the go cart through the spray booth to see if the guy driving it through would get painted.

yes it can, mine is yellow, the strange thing is that the dashboard, paddle shifters and the centre of the steering wheel also got painted, it's everything yellow lol

I like how the interior got painted with the rest of the car. 👍
I wonder how many other cars get their interior painted like that.

It seems hit and miss with spraying cars with existing stripes and such. I sprayed my BMW 1 series concept and it retained the black bonnet and stripes over the roof. 👍
But, I tried a spray job on the Shelby GT350 and it lost the stripes. Maybe it's a standard/premium issue.

I haven't tested this myself but I'm fairly certain that if you can get a car with or without stripes (like the Shelby Cobra, for example), if you paint it it will lose the stripes, and other cars which don't have paint options that exclude any stripes, decals or livery will retain them if you can paint them. Does the GT350 have paint options which remove the stripes? I'd check for myself but I'm 22 laps into a 30 lap B-Spec race.

Also that Zonda R is damn nice, I didn't know you could paint it and now I'm considering it... That Opal Black from the R35 GT-R Spec V might go nicely, that's what I've got on my RM ZR1. Maybe the green from the Lotus Carlton? Been saving that for a worthy car, I'll have to find out how that looks.

Uh huh, you know what it is, black and yellow black and yellow black and yellow black and yellow.:sly:

Question: Is the ZR1 RM (or Z06 - whichever it is) accurate in terms of the stats compared to the GT1 or GT2 car?

A little bit off from the GT1 spec. After seeing the Argentina race the other night I figured I'd get me a Z06 and RM it. First thing I noticed was the weight difference. GT1 spec is, don't quote me, 1250kg ish. The RM'd Z06 is around 1050kg ish. can't check as i'm still in a Bspec endurance. Power wise I think they're about the same.
Stats for the GT1 cars can be found on the official FIA website.

I'm just disappointed that I bought the Z06 instead of the ZR1. What a waste of money considering that you can't sell certain cars.
