what sort of parts do you hope are included?

The nice thing is that since all the vehicles are created by Rockstar, there should hopefully be plenty of visual options (similar to the Saints Row games).

In SR, the best part was grabbing every vehicle (especially the trucks/SUVs IMO) and seeing what sort of interesting parts they included. I know that in the Midnight Club games, they also had plenty of interesting parts and bodykits for all the vehicles. San Andreas was also fun for this, especially with vehicles such as the pickups and limos.

It will also be great that they will be offering performance options as well, since that was the area where they left off in SA (save for the nitrous option).

Finally, wouldn't it be great if they offered upgrades for the large trucks and buses? :dopey:

Everything MCLA had. =P

I have high hopes.

It would be nice if like in Saints Row you can reinforce your bumpers and frame to take more damage while in a race or running from cops. However I really hope for possible engine swaps or to drop a turbo into a naturally aspirated car such as the Futo.
Hopefully bikes will be customizable as well. Wouldn't mind having a tuned-up Vader for stunting and racing.

I want to be able to drift in this game! In GTA IV, you could barely drift at all! And shooting out the tires and going full speed into a turn is NOT drifting. Wet/dirt roads don't count IMO.

Seeing as how Rockstar stated about making multiplayer closer to the feel of single player then in GTA IV, hopefully the Pay N Spray functions as a mod shop online as well, where you use your cash won from ranked online matches to purchase upgrades for your car in free mode.

Hopefully the recently confirmed vehicle purchasing system makes its way into multiplayer as well, where again, you use money earned from ranked online matches to buy a car and have it spawn at a certain location at any time.

Or they could just make it free online and any car you find driving around in free mode can be taken to a mod shop to be customized for free

Or I don't know...there's so many ways to approach this topic. :indiff:

Yes, reinforcements would certainly be nice to have, especially for the various heist missions that will be in the game. Wonder if the mod shops will play into the getaway cars and vans and such that you'll need to conduct the heists?

*Steals Dilletante (GTA's form of a Prius)*
*Takes it to mod shop*
*Installs nitrous (or in this case, Energizer batteries)*
*Reinforces front bumper*
*Gets into 5-star level chase*
*Plows through NOoSE Stockade and survives*

HAHA! Finally the Dilettante is useful!

My idea:
Buy Comet.
Go to LS Customs.
Paint it Blue. (Like Porsche 911 Speedster blue)
Install Racing Tires + Brakes.
Add racing seats and steering wheel if possible.
Add rollcage.
Give it the Sportiest bodykit available.
Quad Turbo up in that 🤬
Highest engine available.
Race around LS 24/7.
Add the best rims.

Rinse and repeat with Infernus.

I wanna get one of those DB5/E-type looking things, black it out, slam it and make it as fast as it can be so I can pretend to be Batman. Having said that I think we'll all be pretty disappointed if all you can change is the rims.

If GTA5 truly has all the customization from MCLA I will be blow away. That is an insane amount of customization for a sandbox title. The customization in the Saints Row games is already mind blowing for a sandbox title. In the Saints Row games you can change wheels, hydrolics, nitros, every paint you can imagine, vinyls, change tire style and tire width, more engine power, change front and rear bumpers, front grill, hoods, exhaust tips, change roof, window tint, convertible or not, change vehicle design, and much much much more. So I will be very impressed if they truly get all the customization from MCLA in GTA5. I will be even more impressed if is has as much as SR2/3.

If most or all of the cars are customizable then I expect there to be varying levels of customizability because imagine if there are 100 cars each with 3 front bumpers, 3 sideskirts and 3 rear bumpers to choose from then that would mean 900 parts would need to be modelled and that's before we get started on all the other accessories.

Exactly. That's a lot of customization if they come anywhere near SR2 or SR3. I am sure its going to be very good but I wont set my expectations too high. So far its already on the right track and has just about everything I asked for from VC, SA, and SR. So its going to be very good. Rockstar truly listened to the community for GTA5. After all the complaints about GTA4.

Agreed. GTA IV, despite it being 2008's Game Of The Year, felt...incomplete to me. Jumping onboard after playing a good amount of San Andreas and Saints Row 2, I just wasn't used to the lack of customization. I felt so...common. Every car and bike I drove felt common.
Whenever I found a nice car, my hype was gone after 2 minutes of driving it when I realized I somehow inspired everyone in Liberty City to purchase the same car. It's annoying to me when a car you spent nearly 1 hour looking for suddenly appears EVERYWHERE.
Thankfully Rockstar is bringing back customization, because I can finally look and feel unique out on the streets of Los Santos.

I'm excited that they brought back customization in general, but my anticipation has gone through the roof now that it's been revealed that the level of customization is much greater than SA. I loved taking those rusty, broken down Stallions in SA, blacking them out, and installing nicer rims and nitrous. It's weird, but I enjoyed the ability to take that complete POS and turn it into a nice car! I was angry in IV when it wouldn't even let you take the Junkers that you find in LC to the paint shop, it just said, "this car is in too bad of shape to paint". Really? I did find it hilarious that the Romero in SA was still too slow, even after nitrous, to make it up Mt. Chiliad, lol!

I just hope whitewall tyres can be added to any car. White walls need to make a comeback.

Only on oooollldddd cars though. Might ruin the rest of them. Then again, it might not and some might like it. We shall see what happens.

Another thought I had was that if the game features a diesel Super Duty truck, then allow us to put smoke stacks on it and belch thick plumes of dirt into the air with each throttle opening. :)

I hope for hydraulics... I had tons of fun in SA with it, and I hope I will in V too :D!

Not needed but would be cool. Not a diesel person though.

After watching the gameplay trailer I can hardly wait for the game to come out. I will play non-stop just to get to the point where I can afford to customize a car and garage it. How long into the game did that take in SA? About six hours?

If you are a semi-hardcore gamer, about 7-10 hours.
